On a nice day you'll usually see pups running around together while families spread out across the park. There's plenty to do beyond the open field. The playground is great for kids, with slides, climbing ropes, and other fun features, and there are swings, a full basketball court, and a sand volleyball court nearby. The pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills makes it an easy spot to spend an afternoon. This is a pretty fantastic neighborhood park and a great place to relax, let the kids play, or simply enjoy watching happy dogs wear themselves out.

Only down fall is due to the drought in Utah this year there was hardly any water (only 40% full ) and it was super muddy but it's not the camp grounds fault. Stupid drought. We will definitely be back next year to camp in the campground again. They had the camp spots nice and clean for us when we got there. They even let us check in a little early. We also enjoyed fishing off the bank. Got a few bites but wasn't able to catch anything this time. In the past fishing right before the sun sets is the best time. We seem to usually catch fish around that time by the sale boat area. (Just east of the cabins). We used warms and pink salmon eggs. Can't wait for next years trip!

If you don't have a boat, you may not have as much fun here as others…read more I don't have a boat. The lake is awesome, though. Very clean and the water felt great. There are several beachy areas with covered picnic gazebos. Lots of shade trees down closer to the water, too. Camping is hit or miss. Some sites (the ones closest to the lake) offer no shade and blistering heat. The cottonwood area has lots of trees for shade and if you are lucky, there's a camping lot with a huge field attached for games like volleyball, throwing a football, etc. I can't divulge which one, because it would hurt my chances of being able to book it again, but if you care that much it should be pretty easy to figure out :) Full disclosure- I saw snakes here. One RAN (if snakes could run, that's what this one did) in front of me as I was walking across a grassy spot. I'm a little terrified of snakes so this was no bueno. Also there are tonnnns of Mosquitos so under no circumstances, do NOT forget insect repellent. Raccoons will get into stuff at night. You can hear them. Saw lots of cute little bunny rabbits and some deer. All in all, it's meh for camping, but the lake is awesome.

My family and friends have been coming here as a group of 13 families for over 20 years…read more Unfortunately, this year the staff completely ruined our trip. Their behavior was unprofessional and unfriendly from start to finish. We were harassed over day passes we had already purchased, and even tried to charge us for a day pass at 9:38 PM just for dropping off some items. When a few families left early, their campsite (still paid for and under our name) sat empty. We simply asked to park another family's car there. not stay overnight and were met with an unnecessary argument. The final straw was being given a ticket for "using" a day pass until 10:30 PM because we were sitting around a campfire. After two decades of loyal visits, we're shocked at how poorly we were treated. Sadly, we won't be coming back, and it's unbelievable to think that after all these years, staff behavior would drive us away.

Snow or sunshine- this is our favorite place to take our dog in Utah! This is a huge park with…read moretrails throughout. So so beautiful, and so fun for the dogs! Everyone has fun here. Few tips: There are a lot of dogs here, and 99% of them are off leash. If your dog gets overwhelmed by lots of dogs, this might not be the best place for them. Also, sometimes people see moose here so be mindful of your pups while enjoying your time outdoors.
