The place is beautiful and tranquil. Exactly what you'd want in a spa experience. Massage tables are comfortable and everything is very clean. Tea shop that's part of it is also very cute snd had any type of teas you could imagine. The massages were relaxing. Note: verify pricing. The package was listed on their website cheaper than what they charged us when we checked out. **Covid alert** The staff did NOT wear masks in the shop or while we got our massages or facials. We are VERY careful everywhere we go with making sure we are doing all to keep ourselves and others safe. There was zero attention to safety here and sadly because of that we will not be able to return unless there are major changes to their Covid safety policies. read more

Ok, so since I was given a gift certificate for two massages, I decided to give Serenity another chance, even though my previous review was a poor one. When we arrived, another tea party was in full swing (flashback to previous review) but at least this one was for adult ladies. So, the massage was very nice, and we decided to have a cup of tea. I had just done my Yelp check in, commenting on the tepid tea I had been served, when a spa worker who looked exactly like Thomas P (see his biased review of Serenity - only one review in two years - so suspicious) saw me Yelping. He asked me about Yelp, like he had never heard of it (yeah, right!) and I said Yelp was great for finding peer rated businesses, etc. He walked away after and I thought that was over... was I ever wrong! Evidently, he went into the back office and pulled up my review of Serenity. Next thing I know, the owner comes out surrounded by all her waitresses. She began to berate me for my last review 10 months ago. Says my review was damaging to her business and was impacting her waitresses, all of whom were mothers (not sure why that was relevant). She also said that if I didn't like her place, I should get out and not come back. How unprofessional! If her business is getting bad reviews, maybe there is a real fundamental reason. Maybe it is her temper and tendency to ask paying customers to leave and not come back. The owner is a bigger problem than a bad review. Funny enough, without the owner incident, I probably would have given Serenity a better rating than I had previously. After all, gift certificate notwithstanding, I spent $75.00 there for a coffee pot and dry teas. Still, all in all, I could not in good conscience recommend this business to anyone. Donna is an exceptional massage therapist and really is into healing and helping her clients. She is very knowledgeable about her craft and makes recommendations where she feels comfortable for other services and/or things you can do to heal and feel better. My favorite massage clinic mainly because the therapists are so talented at using massage like physical therapy. I had lower back problems and was on the verge of getting surgery. Between ice packs and six weeks of 2-3 massages per week, was recovered and now have no sciatic pain. I've given their massages as gifts a dozen times to grateful acclaim from my friends and family. Finally, if you're into fitness, try out a couple hyperbaric oxygen sessions here. They turn me into a tireless cardio train-iac when I get them. Club rubs in Atlanta are $85-125 and hour. Massage Service: The costs are reasonable BUT, the service is not very professional. I requested a deep tissue massage, and reminded the therapist (Kaley) of such at the beginning of my session. I did not receive deep tissue at all. A couple of times during the service, the therapist rubbed hot oil on my neck and shoulders, then wiped it off with a rough towel. OUCH! There is a lot of noise going on in the building during your service, since they run a "Tea Room" out of the front of the building. The ONE bathroom is rear of the building, so folks are consistently walking back and forth in front of your room (some may stand there and talk). Don't expect a quiet experience. I've had great massages. This one was sub-par. I don't recommend staying for lunch, either. We waited 10 minutes for a server in a near empty restaurant, only to find out that they were out of most everything on their menu for the day. Save your dollars. read more

What a wonderful spa day!! My massage from Donna was AMAZING, and I will definitely be back. I bought the "My Boss is Really Awesome" package that included a massage, the iconic foot bath (so neat if you haven't tried it) & a lunch in the tea room. Donna was my massage therapist and she did a great job!! I am so thankful to have been seen by her! My boyfriend met me after my massage and foot bath for lunch in the Tea Room. We both got the salad trio (chicken, tuna, and egg) and it was delicious! The peach tea was great as well. You should absolutely check this place out. I highly recommend getting one of the packages too- you won't regret it! Everyone there was so friendly and kind and I can't wait to visit again! read more

COVID ALERT!! The greeter and massage therapists did not wear masks. Said she couldn't do the massage with a mask on. I wonder why she couldn't greet me with a mask. I am VERY vigilant as my child got covid. She told me if I was uncomfortable, I could reschedule. But my friend was in from out of town and ME having to reschedule because SHE is too inconsiderate to care for my safety was rude. My therapist also mentioned that she had let her license lapse. The massage was just OK. I filled out an intake form, but I don't know why because she worked less than a minute on my problem site. She did the facial and did no décolleté massage, no skin analysis and no extractions. It makes me wonder if she let her esthetician license lapse as well. Upon further research, this entire place does not have a valid license and they over charged my friend. I have filed a complaint with the State Board. read more

Quiet atmosphere. I recommend going on a late afternoon weekday. Two massages already....the deep tissue could have been more deeper, but it is purely a subjective critique. Great massage and the atmosphere was very relaxing. BUT my boyfriend and I had an appointment and still had to wait for the staff to get it together. 20 minuets to be exact. It seemed like the staff was cutting up right in front if us while we waited. Then came time to pay. The website reads $95 for a couples massage buds doesn't say that is for each person. That is very misleading and dishonest. We will not be going back. read more

Love love love Serenity! I believe my masseuse was named Krista... maybe Kristy... I was too relaxed to remember! Lovely atmosphere, incredibly kind staff, and by far the best, most thorough and relaxing massage I've ever had. I had an 85 minute Swedish and I would recommend it to anyone!
