That's when they started to soak and file the rest of my nails. Then they decided to tell me that GelX is hard to take off and the peel off method wouldn't work... when i specifically told them in the beginning I wanted to soak off. I've been back a handful of times here, but unfortunately the quality seems to decrease over time. I got a dip powder fill with gel paint & a regular pedicure with paraffin wax last week. I didn't notice the paint on my toes was sloppily done until I got home. Doesn't cover the entire toe nail, & it's layered on, leaving it looking textured. The paint on my thumb nail chipped within 2 days, & one of my pointer fingers completely chipped off the nail & the dip powder after a week while opening a window. The tips themselves aren't even painted, just the top of the nails. My feet were barely scrubbed & weren't left feeling soft. We were one of the first customers in the morning so it wasn't like they were rushed. Not really sure what happened, but guess I'll have to find somewhere else to fix up these nails. Also, they charge a 5% fee for credit cards & 3% for using a debit. & when you don't pay cash, they automatically ask if you'll be adding money to your credit card bill for tip or if you'll be tipping in cash. Well here I am coming back to reconsider My 5 star review. After a few weeks of trying to understand how I left here with a gel pedi and gel mani, with feet paraffin wax for myself and my son with a plain pedi( no color) she barely did anything actually - no aroma therapy no scrub nothing... walking out spending $165... If a gel mani and pedi is 85 (no scented scrub nothing kind of ridiculous since I go to a full day spa and get more for 85) Paraffin wax on feet is 10 My sons classic pedi is 25 I'm a great tipper so after sending each tech $15 total of $30 What was the additional $15 for? I never mind paying for great service, but while I was getting my pedicure the most annoying thing is when someone continues to try to tell you to get add ons after you've already told them what you wanted. I'm not sure what's changed, but this place surely only treats you as a dollar sign now. I'm not sure how you keep loyal patrons if this continues... I for sure can no longer come back after this last visit. No breakdown of cost and honesty feel like I was just taken advantage of. They are usually big on sterilization but I experienced one of the employees using the same foot brush on me that she used on multiple other clients! Now this time, on a separate occasion, they completely lost me as a client. My cuticles were flooded, I have bubbles in my gel, and some of my nails are not fully covered. I loved this place before. However, after I was left soaking in acetone w/ foil on each finger for 45 minutes before my last dip manicure a month ago, the skin on my nails became dry, rough and inflamed, even bleeding. They also had sliced the skin under my nails open with the nail file which made it worse. I tried aquaphor including a cream that my doctor prescribed and my skin is still rough after a month. I went to get a pedicure today, I was asked if I wanted my hands done, I explained what happened the last time that I was there and showed them my hands. Because I liked this place so much I was expecting them to treat me right and address the issue. Instead of a proper response, the owner Jennifer T. looked angry and annoyed with me having zero concern about my skin. Long story short, I became enemy #1. The woman working on me began angrily speaking to the other employee in Vietnamese and I had to warn her that my daughter in law taught me some Vietnamese. Also, when she asked what color I wanted and I said black the woman began laughing and making faces saying why black, why not white??? Because it's what I like! They hold no accountability for their loyal customers. Also I asked the owner to waive the 3% fee for using my debit card because the ATM in their plaza was closed and because they botched my skin. Pretty fair ask. The owner Jennifer T. lied saying that she was not the owner and could not waive it. What a liar. She was clearly mad because I told her what they did to my nails the last time that I was there. I will never ever go there again. Response to Jennifer T. You are a liar. You are the owner and you should care about your customers when you cut them with the nail file and damage their skin by leaving them soaking in acetone. Another customer who was at the nail salon today being worked on by Jennifer T. overheard me and she mentioned that her skin was also inflamed, dry and cracked when she had the dip done at the same salon. She mentioned that she went back to gel and that her skin is doing better. I spoke with her in English and Spanish. After the woman who was working on me was making faces and speaking Vietnamese I spoke Spanish to that customer. Anyone who has ever been to a salon out here knows how rude it is when your manicurist goes on and on in their language and you can easily tell when it's not good. Jennifer, please don't cut people's skin with the nail files and don't poison your customer's skin by leaving their fingers soaking in acetone for long periods of time. And when a loyal customer still comes back to you after you did that to their skin, be professional and take care of your customer instead of getting so mad. I will be reporting my experience to the better business bureau. Also, I don't have the power to keep your shop open longer hours. If you accept a customer and service them, you kept your shop open and you took payment accordingly.
