I had a gel done ($35) that I thought would last at least 2 weeks. It didn't even last 5 days. I went back and explained what happened and she told me to pick out another gel color. When I sat down, she didn't put the foil on and I asked why not and she said that she didn't have time and that I could now only get a regular color. I wish she had told me that when I first came in b/c not only did I waste time, but money as well. I also had a toenail color change and when I went to pay, she told me that I owed her more money - I honestly thought that the new, non-gel on my fingernails would at least be covered, but it wasn't. I went here today. I have visited a few times, I think they do a decent pedicure, but when it comes to my nails I have never even been happy. I have had the dipped nails for about 3 months and I always find them to be lumpy. My nails grow up and are paper thin, and I have come to the conclusion that I am not a good candidate for sipped nails. I was discussing this with them and I requested to do a full set gel nails . They quoted me $45. I said ok, and they cut the nails an put the tips on. But the girl never got the gel powder. She was going to just do the dipped, when I said no, that isn't what I was told they then quoted me $60. I said no, I would go down the street where it was $40. I walked out with just the tips on my nails. They charged me $17 to put the tips on my nails and they were crooked. When I checked out, they girl has the audacity to ask me if I was going to tip in cash. When I told her no tip, she threw my card on the counter. Umm, I am walking out with just tips because I am not happy with your services, why would I tip you. I was with my friend and apparently I am not allowed back- As if I would ever go back. I went to Polished and they fixed my nails. Were extremely pleasant. Highly recommend Polished. read more

This is my favorite place to go to get my manis and pedis! They are reasonably priced and the service is excellent! Tan is hands-down the best in the area at giving spa pedicures! They were okay. The online pictures are flattering to this salon. The salon is slightly dated and showing signs of wear and tare. They did cut one of my toes. I lived. I am more concerned why gentlemen have to pay more. Not a lot like $3.00 if memory serves correctly. I have seen this posted in other salons. Salons owned by different people. Is this legal? Are the toe and finger nails of men different? I just did not like that. I am always trying to get my husband to go for a pedicure. He would love it. He is stuck in the 70's. Worst pedicure ever. The corner of my toenail was ripped off and bled for 6 hours. The person performing the pedi tried to cover it up and never apologized. I should have refused to pay on the spot however due to being with others, I chose to handle it after the fact. I provided pictures of the damage and requested a refund in writing. I have gone to this salon before and had good experiences, but recently this incident happened and it causes me to question the professionalism of this establishment. I called on a Thursday or Friday to ask to schedule a manicure. I was headed to a wedding and wanted a good manicure. I explained what I wanted in some detail and the person on the phone said that was great and to come in on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. When I arrived on Sunday morning the woman who greeted ( who I believe is the owner) me asked who I was and if she could help me. I said that I had an appointment at 10:00 am that day. She said she had no record of that appointment; that she was on vacation (however she seemed to be in the middle of several pedicures!) and that she could call someone to come over but it would take about 25 minutes. Because I had other appointments that day I was not able to wait. But more importantly I was annoyed that someone had set up an appointment for me on the phone, but there was no record of it at the salon. This seems like a very bad way to run a business. Fortunately I was able to find an establishment in Westboro and they were able to do my manicure that morning. If you are on a tight schedule as I was I would not trust this salon to be able to service you in a timely fashion or even remember that you had an appointment! read more
