We wanted someplace that was new-looking, as opposed to showing its age badly, had lots of natural light, and seemed to care about the needs of the residents. We also wanted a place that had onsite memory care facilities. We looked at Sage Valley Senior Living twice and immediately liked that it was a new facility. We loved that it had lots of natural light and a different menu daily with a chef who cared about creating the best eating experience for the residents. We even had a chance to eat there during a subsequent visit with my in-laws. We found the food to be far better than expected. Even the cheeseburger was very tasty with a flame-broiled taste. Since moving them into Sage Valley, my mother-in-law has flourished and made wonderful friends. The staff has been nothing short of fantastic in their care for them. They call us and notify us of problems they discover, and they show their level of caring every day. The staff has been very friendly whenever we see them, the onsite medical staff has been fantastic, the nurses and aides have worked hard to make them feel special. During my father-in-law's final days, the staff was very helpful and always had a caring word for my mother-in-law and family. After his death, the staff rallied around my mother-in-law and greeted her with open arms and hugs when they saw her. I know every place has its challenges, and I came into this facility with eyes wide open, but my wife and I have been very happy with our decision to move them into Sage Valley.

The place is very clean and bright with a very pleasant dining area. My parents love the food, staff and the onsite physical therapy with great therapist. I've waited a year before posting a review. I wanted to process my mom's care fairly. When I first…read moretoured and spoke with the director it felt like a great place for her. The director said all the right things and had a friendly smile. Added bonus he was retired military and a pastor. I thought he would be a great leader. He spoke highly especially of his medication director. Everything appeared good for about 6 weeks and unfortunately the medication director was gone. A new person took the position and everything unraveled. I spoke with the director many times about issues and in his pastor role he told me that the old medication person had done things that shouldn't be done and that this lady was here to clean up. Suddenly my mom was taken off of medications without doctors orders, when I asked for her to have lab work done it never happened and when I took her out for urgent care I was told that the in house doctor might not work with me because of my actions. Long story short my mom needed to be put on a blood thinner and have a watchman device put in but needed to be cleared by doctor which never happened because she had a stroke and passed away because Wells Point Lodge dragged their feet. Every time I asked the medication director about my mom's medication, labs or doctors she gave me three excuses over and over, I just took this position, my mom died & I had COVID. This was within a 6-7 week period, 2021-2022. When my mom had her stroke I was told that she couldn't come back to facility but that I had to pay her rent for the following month unless she passed away. In that case as soon as I cleared out the apartment I would get the remaining rent back. On February 7, 2022 my mom passed away and I cleaned the apartment out completely and that was the very first time the medication director offered to help me, I'm thinking it's a little too late especially since she completely forgot that she had a call stating that my mom had had a stroke and didn't mention it to the director the week before. In the end Wells Point Lodge refused to reimburse me for the remaining money. The retired military and honest pastor said he misspoke and didn't realize that they didn't give back funds due to a death. Also I can't tell you how many times I would go visit my mother after work and just the aides were there and they were on their phones watching who knows what and you could hear profanity from the phones. Soiled ( feces) clothes sitting for a week in hampers . I want to say several of the caretakers were very helpful and caring.

I honestly would have visited the Temple location even more had they remained open weekends, as there aren't very many (any?) convenient first-come-first-served locations here. I think almost everywhere else is appointment only, and of course they are booked out for days. I visited the Round Rock/north Austin location one time in the afternoon, and they attempted to thwart our testing by lying and saying they didn't know if they had enough tests. I'm sure they were trying to go home after a long day, but we showed up at specific time, that was discussed and planned with employees in the week prior, due to a tight timeline with travel restrictions. Although, we were stubborn, and stayed, and once it was our turn they were still friendly and efficient. I like their ease of billing, efficiency, quick turn around time for results, and by and large, excellent customer service. They helped us with many questions and guided us exactly where we needed to be, saving us $600-700 testing fees. Would highly recommend.

FAKE ANTIBODY TESTS!!! Both my father and I got an antibody test on the same day, separate times…read more We were both told we did not have any antibodies. (That means we had less than 0.8 antibodies) It al felt a bit sketchy so we go tested the next day at Labcorp (Walgreens). That blood draw revealed that both my father and I had antibodies over 450!! That is almost four times the immunity of a fully vaccinated person. Why would they tell us we had no antibodies?
