This used to be my favorite place to get a massage since the atmosphere and the decors are so relaxing and zen. I had been to this place for massages the past 6 years. You used to get a nice foot bath while waiting in the waiting room. After COVID occurred, they got rid of the foot bath which was fine since I still love the atmosphere and I always get the full 90 minutes massage even with the massage therapist running late. Recently they have an online booking system which makes it really convenient. However the price has gone up for their services. My last massage at this spa turned into a deal breaker. I always booked a 90 minutes massage and this last one I only received 75 minutes of massage time. While massage therapist Breana was great during the massage. She was late for 10 minutes and by the time I changed and liked on the table, I probably only got 75 minutes or less of the 90 minutes I booked. After the massage, I was checking out at the front desk, the we're loud conversations from the break room on the side with massage therapist saying loudly "dang, bla...bla...bla", which was totally off putting and some of the massage therapist were a bit rough around the edges. I can put up with all the things they did such as raising g prices, skipping the foot bath, loud and inappropriate conversations from the break room. The major deal breaker for me is the therapist showing up to my appointment late and gave me less than 75 minutes of the 90 minutes massage I booked. Therefore I will try out other places and probably won't be coming back as a regular customer. read more

I really love this spa. I am so glad to find such a wonderful spa after moving to the area a few years ago. The receptionists are always welcoming and warm, and you can book appointments easily online as well. I always enjoyed getting facials on a regular cadence, and Joslyn is just perfect. I have been to a lot of spas in LA/SF/Bay Area and internationally as well, and this is definitely one of my favorite facials still. The quality of service and the price point is very reasonable, not sure why I waited for so long to start a membership here. And with the membership the savings are really good. The facilities is not comparable to something in a nice hotel, but they offer infrared sauna, a waiting room with massage chairs, and I have not tried the rain showers. I always go to this location but I know Roseville have a salt sanctuary as well. I haven't found the right massage therapist yet but will keep trying. I can't wait to be back with Joslyn again though! read more

My husband booked me a Facial and Massage for Mother's Day. The duration was both 60 minutes each. I had the Facial first. I think her name was Jennifer and she was awesome! My mother-in-law told me my skin was glowing and my complexion looked so good and smooth afterwards. I had a lot of congestion and she removed a lot of impurities in my skin. My skin was so smooth afterwards. She wore gloves and also put my hair back in a towel. It was a little different from what I am used to with the steam in my face, but it felt nice and very cooling on a hot summer day. She left to see if there was enough time to do one more thing before my next appointment. When she returned, she asked if she could trim my eyebrows. I didn't mind. Then she applied some serums and creams to refine my pores. It was so relaxing and I felt so nice and rejuvenated afterwards. She escorted me back to the waiting area until my next appointment for my massage. I waited maybe about 7 minutes after my facial appointment. I had such a great experience with Jennifer and was so excited for my next treatment. When i completed the form on the tablet initially, i mentioned in detail my problem areas like how the hostess said the mention. I again, mentioned to my masseuse about my problem areas before she began. I forgot what her name was, but it seemed like she was very new. She couldn't figure out the lighting in the room, didn't focus in the areas we spoke about beforehand. She kept apologizing for things... the pressure was very light for me and I mentioned she could apply more. She did for a little bit and then went back to light pressure again. Bummer. At the end, she mentioned that I should've told her about my lower back pain. All in all, it was a beautiful place. I think I would just come back for the facial only. I feel like the front desk needs to communicate better with the therapists and aestheticians about each appointment that is scheduled. Maybe have a team huddle before they open or something. It was Mother's Day so I guess it was a busy day for them. My friend's husband paid in full beforehand for her treatment, but the manager didn't communicate that with the receptionist either, so she had to call the manager to confirm. This was my first time ever going to a spa so I was a little nervous but I had a wonderful experience at Serenity Spa. Upon walking in, there are a lot of interesting teas, candles, and other wellness products to peruse through. After checking in, I went into the waiting room to fill out a waiver. The room was nice with water and snacks available, as well as a place to write down a manifestation which I thought was a nice touch. I got a Swedish massage and the masseuse, Brianna, was incredibly kind and ensured I was comfortable at all times. People coming and going getting called for their treatments and there are LOUD conversations taking place on the other side of the wall. I usually love coming to this spa for a Swedish massage but this last visit was far from enjoyable. I have had previous massages from here that have been wonderful but this particular masseuse (Kaylee) was disappointing. I left there with back pain (pinched nerve) that is still a bother. I participated in Reiki 1 & 2 with Reiki Master ChiChi. Each workshop was a 2 day workshop and every moment was filled with wisdom, useful knowledge, and years of experience! I was given a binder that was comprehensive, easy to follow, and full of resources. ChiChi did demonstrations for us and we got several opportunities to practice in class and get direct feedback from her! The attunement I received from ChiChi in Reiki 1 was was so powerful! I felt the energy through and through! My life transformed significantly between workshops 1 and 2 which were about 2 months apart for me! Reiki 2 attunement was less intense but much more profound in its effects on my own energy field, ability to confidently provide Reiki, and my own spiritual gifts not only increased in their power but more gifts revealed themselves! After the Reiki 2 workshop we are paired up and practice distance healing with each other and are contacted by ChiChi once a week for four weeks. ChiChi keeps a pulse on how each one of her students is doing in their personal practice and makes herself available for questions and continued guidance! It has been difficult to put into words the magnitude of these workshops and the teachings of Reiki Master ChiChi has had in my life. It is definitely a transformation that continues after the workshop is over. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend both Reiki level 1 & 2 workshops to anyone wanting to grow and heal themselves in their personal life or wanting to become a Reiki practitioner and provide this energy healing to others as well! read more

I was treated to a massage for a late Christmas gift. I was super excited to have a relaxing time at the spa. The outside appearance will draw you in. You walk in to be greeted by items for sale. They have holistic crystals, candles, face care and more. You check in for yiur services at a two person desk. After you're checked in the front desk person leads you into the lounge. Which has low lighting and relaxation vibes. While you wait they offer water and trail mix. Once they take you for your service, you're lead down a hall to your room. The massage and Indian head massage was wonderful. Felt very relaxed and got some relief. I did dislike how loud it was. I kept hearing doors open and close throughout my service. People were also laughing and talking loudly outside my room. Another negative was that during my massage, the lighs were left on, not my preference. I scheduled a 90 min massage for myself and mother. We were so excited to go to a fancy spa. Briana was great and listened when my mom asked for more or less pressure however my masseur was very light and when he was asked a few times to increase pressure. The ambiance was amazing and the spa has great potential but the worst part was they shaved off about 8 mins from both our services and finished early. I had made a note of when we were asked to lay on the table and when they left after the service it was not the full time. That is frustrating and we wouldn't go back. You can complain at the front but we're not going to go back for 8 mins. 16 mins total between the both of us. Also parking is extremely difficult on a weekend. read more

I opted for the deep tissue massage as I know I needed strong, firm pressure. The environment itself is beautiful and clean, but I had to ask 4 times for more firm pressure. After the fourth time with no increase, I gave up asking. There was no closed loop communication or check-in such as "is this better?" Or "how is this level?" I had the worst massage from someone who should not be working at this (supposed to be) award wining spa. It seemed like it was this girls first day- she didn't know what she was doing- kept asking me what she should do next. The front desk personnel was very friendly and the check in process was smooth and stress free. My massage therapist Christine gave the BEST massage I've ever had . Her technique was very relaxing to say the least. It was absolute metal heaven. Christine was not only very skilled but I can tell she has a deep-rooted passion for what she does. Serenity spa was an interesting place that I have yet to understand. It's part day spa, part yoga studio, part small retail shop. My mom bought me a gift card for Christmas which is how I found out about Serenity Spa. The place is beautifully decorated. Interestingly, they were still decorated for Christmas and selling the ornaments. It seemed like a strange place to buy ornaments but there were at least four people doing so! I came in for a hydrafacial, which I have never had before. It is very gentle. I use retinol and tend to have slightly sensitive, pretty dry skin. The whole hour, which was $144, was very relaxing. My skin immediately looked brighter. One day later, I didn't wear any makeup because my skin looked less red and more even (this could definitely be in my head). The best part was the chocolate strawberry at the end! Four stars instead of five because I wasn't asked about skin concerns, nor was I talked through the process of the facial, which I indicated was my first time. This could be the style in which the esthetician likes to run her facials and I definitely could have asked - but I wanted a little more information. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing experience. I will check on my skin in a few days - I'm still trying to figure out if it is worth $50 more than the custom facial. read more

She was very skilled and I was completely satisfied with my massage and will definitely be back. The room was so comfortable with very low lighting and soft relaxing sounds/music. Their fees are on the higher end but I felt it was worth the professionalism. I've been to other salons and was not impressed with the therapists skill level. They also offer Yoga classes on specific days and has a nice boutique of merchandise to browse around while waiting. I was surprised with this wonderful stress relieving massage!!!! My massage therapist was great. Appts were made and before the massage we Signed some paperwork for allergies and medications then brought to a room to get ready for the massage. The therapist asked where he needed to focus on and then my 90 min massage started. In-between the massage he put some lavender scents for me to smell and it was very calming.
