First timer here! I have never tried hot yoga before and I must say I had my doubts about the class. Located in a small complex by Kohl, you will find this hidden gem. There is plenty of parking so no need to worry about that! If you will see a big "Yoga" sign above you are at the right place. When you come in, you will be greeted by your instructor/the receptionist. With that said, sometimes, if you call during the class, the instructor may not be available to answer the phone. If you need a mat, you can rent one along with a towel as well. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring in your own mat and towels. What to bring: Yoga mat Towel to go on top of your yoga mat Water/electrolytes drink ( if you are inclined to shower after the class they have showers available too!) Tip: Don't be late! Once the class is in session, the front doors are locked. Even though the heat is evenly distributed throughout the room, I was told that if you are closer to the window, you will get a little less heat on that side . Yoga etiquette: Find a spot in the room, where you can see yourself in the mirror, but do not block anybody behind you. No talking during the class. Do not leave the class early. If you're a beginner like me, you will enjoy taking Amanda's class ! She goes through the class step by step and is very clear about each yoga move/position. I'm so glad to have taken my first Hot Yoga class with her. I will definitely be back to take more of her classes! read more

I finally found my Yoga happy place! After visiting several studios and different types of Yoga ( moved from the bay), I knew that after my first visit to Bikram Folsom, I did not need to look any further. Isidore, the owner is so sweet and a great instructor, she's very encouraging and wants you to get the full benefits of her studio. The space is a good size, not unlike other studios which feel too cramped. They do a nice job keeping everything clean and an added perk is the kombucha machine which is self-service! - I highly recommend. read more

I loved my experience at Bikram Yoga Folsom! For years, I had wanted to try Bikram Yoga, but never got the chance to do so. I'm really glad that my first experience with it was at this studio. Everyone here was very warm and kind, including management. I always felt very welcomed and encouraged - just stepping into the yoga room made my entire body relax and let go of all heaviness and tension. The studio itself is quite spacious, very clean, and there's plenty of parking out front. All in all, I would definitely recommend this studio. read more

Went to my first hot yoga class in a while yesterday and definitely kicked my butt! Many people thought we were crazy to do hot yoga on one of the hottest weeks here in NorCal with it being over 110! But hey, we pushed through and killed it! Our instructor was very welcoming and accommodating especially with it being our first time. She told us our focus today should just be to stay in the room. Although I struggled on a lot of the different postures, that feeling afterwards of having completed the workout and stepping out into cold AC, felt amazing! The calories I burned and sweat I had was so rewarding. Definitely a great place to get your yoga sesh in! read more

I started going to Bikram yoga in Folsom about a month ago. I suffered a knee injury & my physical therapist suggested yoga to help improve my spine and leg strength. Ever since starting yoga I have improved mobility & strength in my knee & now am able to take the hot Pilates class they offer, which is a great workout as well! All of the instructors are wonderful! They clearly explain the moves, the benefits, and are calm, & patient. I highly recommend this studio! read more

I practiced at this studio for two years, the whole team of instructors are extremely affable and kind. Ryan and Izzy go above and beyond with taking care of the place. The heat and sequence is specially great for anyone trying to establish themselves post an injury. Go here, it'll be hard but you will not regret it! read more

Overall this is a very standard Bikram yoga studio. 26 poses in 90 mins. My only complain is for the instructor, Stacy. I was 2 mins late due to rain for a class and the studio locked the door. Fine. I'm late and it's the evening time. Better to be safe. I saw Stacy thru the window and she acknowledged me. She waited until the first set of breathing exercises was over before opening the door. I stood outside, in the cold and rain waiting for 7 more mins before she would open the door. Still, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I WAS late. As soon as she opened the door, I apologized "sorry for being late". She didn't even say a word and just faced her back to me. Her energy was very unwelcoming and she acted annoyed. I thought the principles of yoga were to being kind and accepting of everyone? I'm sorry I was late, but instructors should be more warm and happy. This rubbed me the wrong way and I don't think I will be back due to her. read more

This is home, love this studio!!! I've been practicing for about 13 years and this is by far the cleanest studio. The owners are AWESOME and teachers provide precise instruction to guide proper form through the 26 postures. And yes, they remind us of the discipline and self compassion needed for the duration of class. They always have these one liners, sometimes it sticks...."How you do one thing, is how you do everything" (thanks Melissa) **For the newbies in terms of yoga etiquette being late/leaving room is usually a NO NO...but depends on the teacher. I love this studio! So welcoming and clean! They clean the floors between each class which I love. The teachers are great as well! If you haven't tried Bikram yoga, it is addicting!! It is a great workout and so good for your body! read more

Studio is great and instructors are excellent. Hot yoga needs some getting used to. Be prepared and patient. You will love the results.

This is a wonderful studio. They have outstanding teachers that lead you through a wonderful class. I love that all the Bikram classes are 90 minutes so you get the full workout. I highly recommend! read more

I came to the class that was for 630 I arrived at 6:32 2 mins late the instructor Stacy wasn't very happy about that besides the fact she asked if this is my first time doing this type of yoga I answered yes she then said started explaining it was very intense and that we are not allowed to leave the room I then walked into the room and began the class it was 115° I was on the cold or "colder side of the room during the class I took a small sip of water she then stated after I took my sip of water we are not allowed to drink water until the fifth pose I started feeling lightheaded and felt as if I could not continue the class without fainting I sat down and she did not look very happy she then stated after I whispered to my friend that I cannot complete the class because I am not feeling good she then said no talking during the class I rolled up my Mat and wiped my face and walked out of the room she did not look very happy if I would've stayed in the room I probably would've been in the hospital. I'm hesitant to share a review as I don't want this giant slice of heaven to become too crowded, but I already tell everyone how amazing BYF and the practice of bikram is anyway. So here goes! The owners and instructors all bring positive and encouraging energy - every day. They give so much to each class and when you walk out I promise you that your body will feel rejuvenated, your mind will feel clear and your heart will feel lighter. And the more you come back and continue your practice, those are no longer just feelings, that becomes who you are. Don't get me wrong, bikram is challenging AF - like anything else, you only get out of it what you put into it. We all have mental and physical struggles, we all let those struggles limit us. I'd like to think that 2020 showed how important mental and physical health is. Whether you've never broken a sweat or you've never missed a day at the gym, you have to come give BYF a try. I did back in April of 2019 and I am so grateful for everyone that makes this studio what it is. Whether you're working through an injury, a hangover, a bad day, a break up, a recovery, whatever is happening - come sweat it out. You'll be glad you did! read more

I love Bikram Yoga Folsom! I've never felt better since I began my Bikram practice. The owners are very personable and helpful and sincere! They truly seem to care about you and your healthy lifestyle, and your practice, and they are very helpful with any questions you have about your practice or postures. They're very easy to talk to and work with, and they also ask their students about their input, and include them when making decisions about class schedules and times. Amazing studio! I've only done 3 classes so far but looking forward to do a lot more! The staff is super friendly and the instructors are very professional with great knowledge in the art form of bikram Pilates. I am already feeling more flexible which is amazing! True 26&2 practice, caring instructors and clean facility

I've been practicing Bikram Yoga for over ten years in the Sacramento area. This is by far the most inviting, caring, and clean studio. You get to know the teachers on a first-name basis and they all have different styles and each one has the desire to help every student progress in their practice. The owners Izzy & Ryan are wonderful and truly care about the community. They did everything right during the pandemic and I'm so thankful that they made it!
