In September, I paid Debra $395 for a package of 3 'Clinical Nutrition' sessions. To make things simpler and because I don't want to expend any further energy on this, I am going to copy & paste my final email to Debra, which I sent today after she cancelled our final session last minute, which explains succinctly my experience: Debra, The link you sent previously initiated an error. You can try for yourself. The one you sent here does work. To suggest that I am having issues with my emails is unkind and simply not true. I find your communications in general (in person and especially online) to be rude and have been generally discontented by your lack of professional follow through. To date, I have not received ANY follow up emails or resources from you since the onset of our work together. Of our two appointments thus far, you emailed me once to remind you when our appointment was, and then today you cancelled. Today is the first time you have sent any resources related to our session. Mostly though, I have found it insensitive that you have not, until this last email, even made a mention of the issues I recently discovered with my health. I will be following up with a review of your business on yelp. As far as not being willing to disseminate information on cholesterol for example to a client (me) who has provided confidential medical information to indicate as such, is negligible. In my field, if I had a client who stated that had depressive symptoms, for example, and I did nothing about that, that would be negligible. To provide a client with basic psycho education would be a minimally acceptable intervention. I will not be scheduling our last session. I will google what I need or ask a doctor. You may also pass along my 5 yoga sessions to someone else in need. Sayrah -- A portion of her response to my above email was as follows: "Do as you must-I was anticipating your negative review so go for it!  My schedule and studio are filled and I sleep at night knowing I have helped people and will continue to do so.  Your threats are of no interest at all-" -- So utterly disappointing and unprofessional. Not the way I expected a licensed professional and certainly an owner of a yoga studio to treat ANYONE. If I wasn't parenting a young child and also dealing with a health issue, I might actually pursue a small claims lawsuit (that would be an actual threat Debra, of which I did not make) to obtain a refund for my final session, but alas, I am taking the more yogic path of non violence and simply doing my best to communicate my discontent in a public forum so no one else has to experience what I did.

Many of the classes focus on form, balance, and strength. They have many types of classes, workshops, and instructors. There's something for everyone and you will easily find your favorite. Classes can get busy at prime times especially Saturdays(duh) and during their 20/30 months. Give it a try, and see if it's a fit for you.

The staff was very helpful, provided me with a mat and showed me around to what I would need. I was very hesitant and scared but the instructor made it an inviting place offered help and encouragement. It was a very hard class for me personally (I need to work on some core strength before going back) but absolutely worth it! It was a great experience and something fun to try! The teachers are dedicated, knowledgeable, instructive and both serious AND fun! And I've taken all of the classes ONLINE. There is a wide array of classes, times, and teachers. I can honestly say, I'm thrilled with every aspect of Bhakti Barn! I just signed up to become a monthly member. I'm sure it's challenging to teach to the students in the studio and at home simultaneously. It can be challenging for the student at home too. But I'm learning ways to adapt and it's well worth it!

So much talent!). I have not been to the older Millburn location which is at close proximity but from the looks of the outside, this 2nd Millburn location is much bigger. I've also been to the Glen Ridge location which is gorgeous as well and conveniently located next to Montclair. I do wish the studio was a bit closer to me as I probably would be more of a regular. I found this studio via Groupon and I really enjoy the classes. The instructors are great and the space is very welcoming - colors are so vibrant and the staff members are super friendly. I love that there's always hot tea at this location which you can drink prior/after class (so cozy). They have 2 rooms at this location - the Love room (pink & orange) is the one I took classes and it was very spacious and a smaller blue room. They have many different kinds of yoga classes here (Kundalini, Yin, Restorative, Bhakti & etc) and I often found myself treating myself by taking 2 classes when I had time (on the weekends).

The yoga at PS 108 is grounding and refreshing, beautifully sequenced, personalized, and unique. Plus, as a nonprofit, the studio is committed to partnering with other organizations to send yoga teachers to provide complimentary yoga instruction to groups to which yoga would otherwise be inaccessible. It's a wonderful and very special studio and community - check it out!

The class was ready to start, yet the person at the desk felt she needed to find me in her database, asked me about five times how to write / spell my name, while looking at my credit card (where my name was written clearly), then asked three more times whether I had ever used a "shorter" version--no, I haven't--then their machine didn't work, but I was made to feel as if there was some problem with my credit card... never an apology... yes, I have a foreign name and an accent, but this is the most unwelcoming / xenophobic place I've been to in a long time.

Alluem has been my mental/emotional haven since I started here. As a grad student doing her…read morerotations, life is hectic and time for my mental/emotional growth is limited. I have fought to make sure I am here at least a few times a week, and I am grateful every time I am able to follow through for myself. Because of my erratic schedule, I am likely to show up at any class time which means that I have seen/experienced a number of different instructors for different class levels, and I have enjoyed each and every one. Every one has been kind and helpful and extremely patient. When you walk in, you are greeted at the door by whoever is working the desk for that shift. The vibe is relaxed and mellow and you just feel like you're in a safe space, which is so necessary sometimes. There are cubbies on the left to leave your personal belongings and shoes, and then you can enter into the actual studio. There are mats, blocks, towels, blankets, etc. for you to use so you never have to feel unprepared and you are always able to have a full experience. And if ever you cannot make it in person, they have virtual classes available, as well. Overall, thankful to having found this place and looking forward to utilizing my membership as much as I can. Only thing I will warn about is the parking. Sometimes, it can get crowded/tight, but there is plenty of street parking available in case you want to avoid that. Otherwise, I recommend you check it out and see what they have to offer. :)

This is GREAT yoga studio. I love the pace that this moves…read morein. The instructor is very laid back and friendly. I had a groupon to try a few studios in the area. This is probably the best one in terms of the actual practice. The studio is located in a slightly busy street. There is a municipal parking lot behind the studio, so make sure you bring change for the meter (which is free after 6). I used to come to the 6pm classes so it was great. I am really bad with names so I do not remember the name of the instructor. She was a young instructor who really pushed you to try new things. Also, on the other hand, she allowed people to try something less challenging in case some pose seemed too much for them. The classes were small which for me is very important. I am relatively new to yoga so I know that it is important to learn the proper way to perform certain poses and I think a big class is hard to manage in the sense of a one-to-one approach. I left this studio so energized and having sweat A LOT! Which I actually enjoyed. The room is slightly heated. Make sure you bring water. Also, I recommend bringing your own mat. They provide some in the studio but...they are a bit too thin for my taste. The studio is a bit far from me. It is a good 30 minute drive (without traffic) which is the only con for me. I would really enjoy coming here again. I actually have thought about it so I recommend it to anyone interested in getting a great workout and getting some relaxation at the same time! The class times worked out great as I was always able to go right after work. During the beginning of the pandemic I transitioned with them from studio classes to virtual and they were great! Although it became a bit pricy for me to continue attending, I still want to shoutout this studio. I have nothing but incredible things to say!! Miss going in person so much and seeing everyone!
