Only one truly showed up for the big game - Jewel Gallery! Alejandra was amazing, looking for what was ultimately an almost impossible request for one of the stones, but knowing I was on a timetable, she pushed through insane winter storms, lack of inventory nationwide, and an almost "unreasonable" request on my end, and made it happen! She kept me in the loop every step of the way. Linda (one of the owners) stepped in personally when needed to make sure I got what I needed, when I needed it, and was always so excited to be a part of making this momentous occasion as special as possible. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I couldn't ask for anything more! Come to find out, they have done a tremendous amount of work for my mother on some very old and complicated jewelry to some new items she got from them... Jonsil made mine in 1986, and when I called the lady in 2006, she said "I remember that ring. I loved it, and we only ever made two of them. She said they still have the mold. They re-made the ring and it was wonderful; that is, until last week when it was stolen. I tracked it down at a pawn shop, and they want $1.5K for me to get it back. It was also engraved with my name in it. The pawn shop should have never accepted it. I know that Jonsil can make the ring again (provided they STILL have the mold, of course). And, they can probably make it for much less than $1.5K. What made the stolen ring so special was that it had a diamond from my late mother's wedding set in it, and all I can do is pay the money, or file a police report on the person who took it.
