Can't say enough on their work and services. I wanted my driver seat bottom of my Mazda CX50 re-skinned due to a design strip that rides up my bum. Went to Sergio's Auto Upholstery from a recommendation of a friend. They took a look at the seat and right away know what the issue was. Together we looked at leather fabric swatches and picked one that was the closest to the interior color. The turn around was super quick of 1 day! The price was super reasonable too! Sergio did an amazing job fixing the upholstery to my ceiling ! It was falling down completely and he made it look like new ! He was very nice and welcoming and went above and beyond to even color match my roof and gave me the original fabric to my car . Sergio's shop, it itself, is a trip to see--people who own cherished classic cars come here to have their upholstery work done--as well as other interior refurbishments. My brother in law had his classic Thunderbird upholstery and dashboard work done here and it is perfect. Also his classic Mercedes upholstery. So even though Sergio was more costly, I decided I would pay more for a no-hassle, extremely professional job and I wasn't disappointed. Bingo. read more

Was referred to this place by someone whose car I was looking to buy, their 2002 Jetta wagon had its interior redone and it was perfect. So glad I found them! They are honest people and good craftsmen. I so far have gotten: 1969 Alfa Romeo flying buttress seats redone to custom spec, which was a complex job with lots of stitching Euro 1995 BMW M3 door panels, rear panels, headliner and a pillars, which was also a complex job as they had to wrestle thick M Rain fabric in to lots of nooks and crannies without any stitching showing. I have some friends who also drive vintage cars and I referred one to Sergio's, with good results. Prices are fair, turn around can be longer than promised, very happy with the work. Not sure of my opinion of Sergio's Upholstery. Let me explain...There was another upholstery shop connected to Sergios and from what I have gathered they were at one time friends. This other shop was called "Pedro Hernandez Upholstery". Pedro was a local upholstery shop that had an online presence on local trades offered locations such as Craigslist and Ebay Local ads. I like to use the mom and pop places because of their usual tremendous skill and availability. Usually their customer service is great! How does all this connect to Sergio? That is coming please read on... Well Pedro took my sofa to his shop located in the same building as Sergios shop. I was required to pay Pedro half of my money down to cover labor and some of the materials. A long story short...Pedro kept making promises and more promises that he would deliver the sofa. Then Pedro quit communicating. Pedro would screen his calls and not answer if I was calling. How do I know this? Well I called one day from an unknown landline and Pedro picked up. Pedro was caught off guard and said he had his phone off and was sorry. He again promised another date he would deliver the sofa. Pedro Hernandez never came through. After many attempts to contact Pedro Hernandez and many voicemails I had no choice to file a fraud complaint and also report him to the Better Business Bureau. I then got the idea to inquire with Sergio as to what happened to Pedro Hernandez who had his small shop in the same building. Sergio tells me Pedro Hernandez has moved out. Sergio did say he would try and assist me in getting my sofa back and possibly back to Sergio's shop to finish the work Pedro failed to do. I hope Sergio was sincere. Sergio seemed nice on the phone. So far I am in limbo. I don't have my antique sofa, I am out the money down on the work Pedro Hernandez has failed to do, and I am waiting to see if Sergio comes through for me. I will update this posting when all is said and done and possibly raise this rating. I looked this placed up in yelp while I was driving through Huntington Park looking for auto upholstery. My wife wont let me take frivolous trips to T.J. anymore for stuff like this. I ignored the previous review because it made no sense and I'm glad I did. The work was done quickly, as promised, the price was great and the stuff they fixed on my car is now better than brand new. If you have a tiny rip in your car seat. Take it here and have it fixed before it becomes a giant hole like you will have in your body if you go to T.J. too much. read more

My car needed a headliner replacement real bad and after calling many shops Sergio quoted me the best offer at 140.00 so a week later I made my appointment and took the car early morning, I picked up my car on time and that's when things turned around. I had my 140 ready cash and I was charged 160.00 , I didn't argue or anything I simply said ok here 160.00 and got my car, ones I got my keys my factory alarm was not working so I figure es maybe the battery, I got in my car and my auto locks, radio, dash light and even roof lights where not working so I turned around to let him know and I was told " the car was like that" I was like dude really why on earth would I make that up, anyway I've learned that you can't deal with people that simply can't take responsibility for the work they do, A simple let me re check my work to see if I missed a connection would have been good customer service, Lucky for me I'm a car guy so I checked the work at home and sure enough when the headliner was removed the accidentally punctured some light wires that control my dash and lights. I purchased a new fused and taped the wires all done and working now, the reason for my low star grade is because 1. The price changed at the end 2. He didn't offer to recheck his work 3. To someone else it would have cost then easily 140 for an electrician to Figueroa our what was wrong and replace the fuse Customer service f Goes a long way and with today's economy they should put extra attention to clients. So yes beware people if something is wrong after they fix your car it's some how your fault. read more

They went above and beyond to install new upholstered seats in my 69 mustang. Most places will just install the seat foam and seat covers, however Miguel installs additional cushion for proper comfort and fitted seats. They warned me about a couple of possible problems. A half a day later I picked up my car. WOW! I was really impressed with the quality of work they do.
