Called Sergio based on the great reviews, as I have a lot of faith in yelp! based on a previous posting where there was a miscommunication with a customer about reaching him and an appointment being made I asked if he could give me a quote to replace two toilets and give me an appointment time. He gave me a quote (a good one!) and told me to go buy the toilets, put them on 'will call' and to give him a call back so he could give me an appointment. That was on Friday, a week ago. I did just that, and left a message saying the toilets were bought, and under his name to pick up, and when could he install? no call back that night. Next day I texted, called, then got a text back saying someone walked away with phone and that's why no call back for one more day. I said no problem, when can you come? He texts, busy this morning but "I won't forget about you "... No call back in the afternoon. Another day goes by. So finally, I got somebody else. A week later. Cuz I'm stupid that way, and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure this guy is a good plumber and a nice guy, but, my advice to him is: if you are too busy, communicate with your clients: "I won't be able to do it for a week... or until next Tuesday" would have been ok with me. I can plan around that. but all of this hanging on to your availability...no bueno. My advice to customers is: get an actual appointment, and if you can't get one in a reasonable amount of time, move along. Don't hang on there like me! read more

Great plumber and gave great advice. I've been having problems with a slow or clogged drain off the kitchen sink since I bought my house. It's an older house from the 40's. Sergio recommended a full cleaning and not just a snake and the results are amazing. If you saw the stuff (and the smell) that came out of that drain, you would immediately understand the problems I had. That turned out to be the greatest thing or else I would've never found Sergio. The communication was smooth, straightforward, and price was I believe very reasonable. I didn't even bother to look anywhere else as Sergio's service was impeccable right from the start. The 1.5" leak was underground and was professionally detected by a leak detector per Sergio's recommendation. Our stamped concrete had to be jack hammered. Sergio explained the process before he did the work and provided options and suggestions. I wasn't home when he did the work, and he sent me a picture of the damaged pipe. I truly felt he cared about me as a customer. He even asked if our city offers a Water Leak credit after the work was done. He takes credit cards, but we paid cash to get a discount. Sergio is the best plumber I have ever met and I have been around a long time - 71 years. He is professional, courteous, punctual, honest and a man of his word. He did 4 jobs for me in 2 weeks, 3 in a rental I own with lots of water damage and a bad valve dripping in my MBR shower that was driving my wife and I crazy. I had a watermain leak and Sergio came to the rescue. After promptly returning my phone call, he immediately made arrangements to come out and give me a free estimate. He identified the problem and walked me through how he knew it was a water main leak. He patiently explained the problem and how he was going to fix it. He also told me to call around and get other estimates. He assured me I wouldn't get any better estimates. He was right. I called him back and he was out the next day to repair the leak.
