We had some auto body work done here. It was a LONG process (don't think it was their fault though, and more so the insurance company). The work that was done seems thorough, aesthetically it looks GREAT and the car parts that were replaced are functioning once again. They also have a warranty policy on parts which I believe is 6 months. Not sure what's standard. When picking up our vehicle they told us about other maintenance we needed to get done (as requested by my partner when the car was dropped off). Lady at the front desk claimed she called us about it but we got no calls or messages about it. Would've been better to get it all done at the same time and I would have preferred that option since our car was at the shop for 2+ weeks. The salesperson/administrative personnel didn't have the best communication style. She seemed too busy to answer questions thoroughly though the place really wasn't busy. The office itself is outdated, very 80s, maybe 70s. My only gripe is the extra charges you get if you pay with a credit card. Not sure if it's standard practice but the place we usually get our maintenance done doesn't charge extra for using a card. We were quoted about $340 for a job if we paid cash but almost $390 if we paid with card. That's a big difference in this economy. read more

I went to Sernio's after an accident where my front driver's panel was massively dented. My experience from beginning to end was nothing short of amazing. The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and sincere, both techs (for inspection and intake) were extremely clear about what the repair would entail, and the repair was done in less than a week, which is unheard of for me in getting my vehicle repaired at an auto body shop before. I didn't have a chance to get my car fixed, so I'm not sure how it is, but they have thieves working for them. I dropped my car off to get an estimate, but it was deemed a total loss. I went there to clean out my car and noticed my dash cam was missing. The only thing the front desk and one of the workers could say was, 'We keep the car and gate locked, and we have a sign stating," Take your valuables."' Had scratches and a broken tail light assembly from an unknown source. Brought my SUB to Sernio's, and was taken care of immediately, considering it was not a major auto body job. They did an initial walkthrough, while explaining what would be done. I paid it in cash while waiting for them to order and receive parts and hardware needed for the job. I received a call to bring the SUV in, after the parts arrived, then they did another walkthrough. Two short days later, they called that the repairs were completed. It looked brand new, because the damage was fixed, and they did a head to toe detail to clean it. I have so much gratitude for Sernio's. They fixed my Volvo XC40 after a big white truck hit me. I went to several body shops and concluded Sernio's had the most expertise to get the job done correctly. They replaced the panel and it is now perfect. I also love that they are Volvo certified-- I called Volvo beforehand and they confirmed I am definitely better off with a Volvo certified shop. Sernio's also gave me a very fair price, and they completed the job a day or two before the estimated finish date. I admittedly used the Volvo app on my phone to track whenever my car was unlocked or any of the doors/windows were opened during the time it was at the shop-- I was impressed they started working on it almost immediately and continuously worked on it starting at 7am each day while it was in their hands. Finally, they matched the paint perfectly-- multiple body shops told me it's a tough color to match, so I was worried. I would use Sernio's again in a heartbeat. So professional and helpful. I would think twice about going to this place, especially if you are a woman. I think you're bound to get ripped off. I had a fender bender and the hood of my Toyota Camry wouldn't open after that. I took my car to Sernio's to get a repair estimate. To get a new hood, a headlamp readjustment, and refinishing of the fender, bumper and panel would cost me $2,358! After I read the estimate, I told the guy I would think about it, and he looked a bit surprised when I said that, as if he had expected I would say yes. I then went to Centro Auto Body and spoke to John Bove, one of the owners. Since my car was 7 years old and already had more than 100,000 miles on it, I told him that I didn't care about aesthetics and I just wanted to be able to open the hood of my car. This would require making some minor adjustments to the hood and headlight. He gave me a verbal estimate of $150. Out of curiosity, I then asked John how much it would cost to make the front of my car look like new again (new hood, refinishing the other parts). He said it would cost about $1,200, almost half the price that Sernio's was charging. Then to test him, I asked him if he recommended getting a new hood or just getting the minor repairs. He told me the latter. In short, Centro did good work and stuck to their estimate. As a woman, I also felt really comfortable talking to John, who seemed honest and trustworthy and respectful. At Sernio's, I got the impression that the guy thought he could overcharge me because I was a woman and he thought I wouldn't know any better. And it just goes to show you that you should always get a second opinion anytime you get an expensive quote for an auto repair job. It can't hurt, and sometimes it can make a huge difference. read more

Like the previous comment below, i too was conned into allowing some auto body "gypsy" to repair some dents i had. The dummy i am, i believed the guy. Two days later when i realized the crap he applied on my car wasnt coming off, i freaked out. I went to Sernio's and told the front desk of my situation. Sernio himself was assisting me and gave me such honest advice. He said my car was older so it's really not work replacing the door panel. He said he could still help me so all the crap would be removed. 10 minutes later, my car was its original color and i was ECSTATIC. My parked SUV was hit during the blizzard of 2016 and 3 panels on the left side were damaged. Took it to this Auto body, and then 3-4 days later it was in pristine condition. Besides working on the severe dents and the paint job, they cleaned (or detailed) my SUV! I have 2 kids, and anyone with kids would know how much leftovers are in the backseats. I cannot find one! Customer service was excellent, friendly and very helpful. The mechanics and other technical personnel in the back shows uncanny passion in their trade. I have been using this auto-body for almost a decade. I've owned a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and I always bring it there for any work that needs to be done. The dealer constantly charges more, rips you off, and most times, they fix things that aren't the problem, the problem still occurs or re-occurs, and you pay more. Sernios always figures out what the problem is and what needs to be done to get it fixed. I've never had an issue there and neither has anyone else I've recommended to go there.
