Both my 3-year-old and 5-year-old loved it. On a weekend morning, it wasn't too crowded either, which was great! There are plenty of places to sit in the shade and have some snacks as well. There are bathrooms, a huge field, and a gazebo - not sure if it's by reservation only though. There's also a free little library, which is super cute! I love discovering these. Pretty good selection too. There's also plenty of parking, and it's easy to get in and out. Overall, a great place!

This beautiful park has it all - beautiful grass , wonderful play ground area for both smaller and bigger children as well as shaded areas , a covered large patio area that you can reserve for parties when we are not in Covid . The patio offers seating for large parties and BBQs and nice clean bathrooms just steps away from the play area and covered Eatting area . This great park offers base ball area and basketball courts . It has mature trees where you can find many just sitting in a nice chair or chairs sitting 6 feet apart doing bible study or having a nice bite to eat with 2-3 family or friends . Sadie and I enjoy stopping by so we can walk or she can sniff for lizards in her 10 Mins then head home , this is her happy place to visit as she feels most comfortable here. This large approximately 8 acre park within the Mission Viejo community offers a large picnic gazebo structure with multiple large picnic tables and a barbecue, which are available for rental for parties along with multiple play structures for young children as well as a softball field, football field and basketball court. There are steel mesh benches scattered throughout the park, which provide a great view of the kids from all angles. The playground is located on sand with recycled rubber under all of the equipment, so don't forget to pack some sand toys for your little ones. It is a little noisier compared to other parks in our own neighborhood because of it's location between two busy streets, but still a nice option if you're in the area.

This is a very popular place for locals to walk their dogs. At the far end of the park is a viewpoint that overlooks Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park with a small monument thanking firefighters for stopping a wildfire from reaching the community in 2007. An eastern entrance to Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park is located at this park and quickly descends downhill. Trail maps are available at the trailhead entrance. There is limited parking so on busier days you might find yourself parking on the street. If so, please be careful crossing the street to the park - many Portola Hills residents are elitists who ignore the stop sign at the crosswalk and run right through it. I've witnessed several near-misses with pedestrians so please use caution and don't expect the cars to actually stop.
