    This SPA. Is amazing ... forget going to Vadara .. we this p km ace in Cali .. ask for masseuse Nario he's the best! They have a range of services but I like the 90 minutes Signature massage .. clean and has the best staff .. Brandon is do helpful and the products you buy are high end .. a must do when staying at the Yamavva resort . 5 stars

    This is a high end spa that really delivers results! I've run the gamut of the spa life and this is really a top notch experience. I was very impressed by the condition of the facilities. It was spotless and well maintained. They offered steam room and sauna as well as shower facilies and a coed mixed wet lounge. I was super late so I wasn't able to relax in the common areas as much as I had wanted to, so I do recommend coming early. I went in for a diamond facial and my skin was glowing, softer, smoother, and brighter after. My esthetician was Evelyn. She was very pleasant and informative with gentle hands yet a strong massage. She explained each product being used and I felt very comfortable with her. I already booked my next appointment.

    I had a rose quartz massage today. Very relaxing with the right amount of pressure. They let you choose gemstones at the beginning of your Massage. I chose health and luck. My Maas really did a good job massaging my neck, back legs and arms. They also offered strawberry banana smoothie made with almond milk. The eucalyptus showers along with sauna and steam rooms are lovely with equipped station with amenities such as hair jars, curling irons, deodorant, lotion, dental kits, and all amenities needed.

    As they say ... a picture speaks a thousand words so I am enclosing a screen shot of a voice mail that the front office at Serrano Spa left to me today . While I was still at the Spa! Yes , leaving me a voice mail 10 minutes before they supposedly close and while another guest was at the front desk checking out . I was in the restroom . I came out and an attendant said "there you are ? we've been looking for you "! The sense of urgency in her voice made me ask myself "is there an emergency "? I didn't ask because she was so frazzled , I just thought ok she's just very rude . Ignore . Then as i'm walking out she says "you do know your way out " in an extremely rude manner. I get to the front desk and the front office is leaving me the attached voice mail. Excuse me ? The front office attendant snaps at me . ask for my license " without it you can't use your voucher "!!!!! I said "pardon me "? I do not have a "voucher " then she snarls and says "oh you're just going to pay for it "? Again I'm thinking are these people ok? Yes , of course i'm going to pay ! I have never been spoken to or treated so badly ever anywhere . They were extremely hostile. I've had service at this Spa many times without incident . I literally felt violated and practically thrown out . I suffered hostility . Im a 59 year old professional Woman. I do not have the appearance nor the history of someone who is going to somehow escape the Spa without paying . I didn't see the attached message until I got to my car. Why would they be calling their guest on their cell phone while they are still in the facility ten minutes prior to closing when there was another guest still there as well? Absolutely rude , unprofessional and uncalled for. Literally behaving as if I somehow ran out of the facility naked to the point they checked my belongings ? I am not the type to behave ignorant in public so I handled my business and left. However . I came home and spoke to my partner who is a frequent player . He agreed totally uncalled for . I'm still in shock . Tomorrow we will decide what action to take because this behavior is completely unacceptable. I was completely harassed. My best friends husband is a tribe member . I think they need to know how their guests are being treated . I paid for my 265$ one hour massage in full . No coupons , discounts .

    My experience at the Salon is horrible. 1. The lady that handled me told me she cannot accommodate me for a whole 5hrs of balayage. When in fact I had an appointment for balayage. She said she has other clients after me to do as well. So she recommended to do the full color. How can you book a client knowing you don't have the amount of time to accommodate? She explained that a different department does the scheduling and I get that the concierge is the one that handles the booking but the lady that will do the work will obviously be notified of time and service type. If you know you are crunched with time between two clients then might as well tell your co-worker to do adjustments and if not then just don't book the client! (FYI, i am keeping my cool as I was excited to have dinner with friends and co-workers in the afternoon) 2. After she explained she cannot do a balayage. She offered me to do full color instead. So, I agreed (better have something to do than nothing since I am already there right?) I told her "multiple times" my hair is jet black and needs a bleach for the color to stick( I have done multiple times of coloring my hair in the past so I know my hair) I have not even finished my sentence and she kept cutting and explaining stuff to me like I am stupid!, I just wanted her to bleach my hair prior to coloring , PERIOD, but she kept yapping about how it will damage my hair. Like, I don't already know that? I told her I did colors in the past. I am not sure which part of "please bleach my hair because its jet black and color/s will not stick in my" is hard to understand? 3. I thought she did bleach my hair but no, she went on and put that color to my hair and kept telling me it will come out nicely. I had told her one more time it will not. But she did not listened. So it came out like i had expected. Top part was the only one that had the color as you can see in the picture. So i asked to speak with her supervisor/manager. 4. She went to get her supervisor that took awhile. I don't want to assume, but it looks like she already had explained herself prior to talking to me. So the supervisor went and spoke to me with alongside her and I had told her what happened but the way the supervisor handled the situation, showed like it was my fault, when in fact I had told her she HAS to bleach my hair. So, the lady again said she does not have any time to redo my hair. I told both of them, i wont go out looking like this. Like come on! Look at my hair. ‍ The supervisor was also hesitant to have my hair redone. So the lady did redo my hair but told me " I had to cancel my next appointment because i have to redo your hair" Like, should I be grateful that you cancelled your next appointment because you did a poor job listening and working on my hair? I kept quiet and my kept cool because this day , i worked 12hrs, no sleep, tired, no lunch, I was sitting there for already 6hrs and just wanted to eat dinner and hang out with my friends. Off note, she said she cannot do the balayage that is estimated 5hrs. At this time after I spoke with the supervisor its already at 5hr mark. ‍ She did bleached my hair and recolored it. Came out just as should have been. My point is, you need to listen to your clientele. Listening is part of a good communication. Your client knows their body more than you so it is important to LISTEN. Also, you kept telling your clientele you cannot accommodate her because you don't have the time. That is just a lame excuse. Thats why appointments are made to prevent overlapping of schedule isn't it?. Even if the concierge or a different department handles your scheduling, I DOUBT you won't be aware of what time your next client will come. You as a the service provider should have vocalized to your scheduling department that 5hrs is not enough and it would not have ended up like this. I could have gone to a different salon but since we have a credit we can use here, I chose to have my hair done in here since the experience I had at the facial and massage department was great. I do not recommend their Salon department and won't be coming back for hair treatment! Service sucks!

    The first time here today and I enjoyed it! I didn't have time to enjoy the spa but only got to enjoy the massage. Everyone was really nice and I love the chill vibe. Definitely will come back whenever I'm in town. The total amount included service fee/gratuity but I still added more tip. They also have a hair & nail salon area.

    Recently had a full body massage here and I couldn't be more pleased. The facility is beautiful with natural earth tones and very comfortable lounge areas. From the sauna, steam room, massage chairs, indoor pool, snacks, and much more. Checkin begins about an hour early so you may begin the winding down process. Left feeling so great and I can't wait to book another service. This is a first class spa.

    Honestly, we had such a great experience for two! The Spa was super clean and spotless. The staff was very tentative and friendly. We booked our appointments on a Friday Morning and had the majority of the wet areas to ourselves. The locker rooms were well kept and the free amenities is within arm reach. I got the Nourishing Elements Pedicure service with a specialist that was fantastic. Constance is amazing, she made sure I was comfortable and offered recommendations and was an overall vibe. She was gentle and the service provided was painless! I felt my two feet on clouds. The ambience was amazing and I would definitely come back for more. Thank you to the superb staff. Five stars all around. You really made the vacation away from home quite pleasant.

I should have known better. It's in a run down strip mall area of SB. The first warning was the double bared doors when you enter. It was very creepy. They make you pay before the massage. I paid by card $40 for 30 minutes. 2 guys came in after me and they were trying to push me to the back of the building quickly. They put me in this small back room which smelled weird. I informed the lady that I needed my neck muscles massaged only. She told me to remove my top & bra, but didn't give me anything to cover up with or she didn't walk out while I changed. The massage was okay, but I couldn't relax because it was so creepy in there. I kept waiting for some guy to start moaning in the next room. It had that vibe. She also kept reaching down and snapping my panties. I kept telling her my neck only but she kept doing it. Gross!!! The thing that really upset me was I gave her a $4 tip with cash on the way out. Then the next day my husband told me that they charged my card an additional $6. That place was so creepy that I didn't want to go back to dispute it. Beware that they over charge your card.

You can use your card to pay, but I recommend bringing cash for the tip.

HONESTLY: It broke my heart to see this wonderful woman has only 1 star reviews posted up now only by people who judge before they have the guts to walk in and try. Y'all gotta stop acting like sheep. Yelp is NOT a game, small businesses NEED reviews to stay afloat; It can LITERALLY make or break a whole family when stuff like this happens. If the place is bad by all means let people know how they hurt you. But don't speak on what you don't know, because you don't know. I ACTUALLY HAVE gotten a massage here and, as a woman, I felt safe the whole time, and My husband was in the lobby. The services are of quality, and it was a FANTASTIC hour FOR ME PERSONALLY. The woman who worked on me, whose name I regretfully have forgotten now due to my passionate rage; was not only super respectful, but asked what area I needed help with, the pressure level, and gave my allotted time to that problematic and "stressed" area. She will do work on whatever you need help with as far as muscle structure. She knows how to comfortably remove muscle knots. As long as you communicate, she can help you. She very patient, sweet, and kind. If you go to massages often, you'll know this is not always the case. It's more of a "nail salon, how can I help you" vibe here at Japanese Massage, rather than the usual: "you pay for a leg massage I only touch one leg for one price" scammy kinda vibe most common on cruise ships. That means she cares about helping you, not about how much you have to pay. She legitimately will let you know where you're holding tension, and help you relieve it. In my case to clarify: I personally had shoulder pain. She worked on my shoulders to release knots. While it's usually a quiet painful process with too much pressure on one spot, I had a surprisingly wonderful time! This lady was very kind and actually made me laugh with stories of Japan. On that note: (Added bonus for the Otaku's of the area): SHE ACTUALLY SPEAKS JAPANESE. I literally had my first conversation IN YEARS in FULL Japanese with someone who is ACTUALLY from Japan and IS an actual native speaker. That's why I really came in. I was hoping she'd speak Japanese, and so I stopped by; I was not at all disappointed under this woman's kind care for over an hour. So, really though. If you're stressed and your shoulders feel hard, go see this woman. Because this is a perfect example, I'll say it again: Y'all gotta stop speaking on what you don't know anything about. Family owned and especially the Asian owned businesses in our area are JUST AS VALID as anywhere's else's family businesses. Culture in America is to be Celebrated, not to divide us. I know family businesses bring us all together by offering common services and food from THEIR CULTURE and homes to share in "The Melting Pot" of the America we all are living here in. Don't forget we're all just trying to thrive over here. So if you wanna play a game to talk smack on what you didn't take the time to learn about, do everyone a favor keep your ignorant opinions on social media -- where no one really cares -- until you DO know and have REASON to give a 1 star. Realize you are part of the consumer problem domestically and stop hurting businesses -- who are just trying to thrive also -- before you've ever even walked in the door and looked them in the eye. TL;DR: This is best massage place in town. She's great. Really, pay this angel of a woman for her time and let her make you feel better. That's all she's trying to do. Nothing sketch, nothing seedy. So keep your insensitivity to yourself. This lady is a wonderful person and deserves the same chance to thrive as everyone else born or brought here does. Be respectful to gain respect.
