Walking in, it is clear that this is a place full of regulars! We were greeted within moments of entering and were surprised at how inexpensive the food is. The decor is fun with things to look at with every turn. We just missed happy hour but we were here for the wings as we had heard so much about them. These are not your saucy, messy wings. They are full of flavor and so good! As someone who prefers the messy experience, I would still order them again! Go up one spice level from where you are comfortable as the spicier they are, the more flavorful they become. I normally am very mild and got one mild flavor and one hot. The hot was amazing! I get there, and you have three distinct environments between the chill large downstairs bar, the slightly-divey upstairs bar area where live shows occur, and the upstairs patio. If hearing each other talk is a priority, opt for the downstairs or patio areas. They're known for their wings and mini corn dogs. We get a large wing order of five flavors to share between five people along with corn dogs and tots. We loved the massive platter that the wings come out so nicely displayed on, and friends were impressed by the size of the wings. The corn dogs and tots were good, too. After dining downstairs and settling our tab, we went upstairs to join the merrymakers dancing and singing along to the live music upstairs. After their last set, we went outside to continue the night and didn't leave until the very end of the night. Super chill spot that sits just on the edge of being a dive bar. Serums is a great place. It's known for its wings and kind of a tourist spot since people will travel here just to try the wings. They have bone in and boneless and lots of different sauces. I've only ever tried the wings so I can't speak to the other food but the wings were indeed good. The "medium" sauce was not even a little spicy so if you are e looking for some spice I'd go at least to the "hot". The inside is very cool. It has cool decor and gives off dive bar vibes. If you're in the mood for wings, this is apparently the place to go in the Twin Cities. We've never visited, but on a recent weekend we ventured into Anoka to try it out. We arrived around six and the place was completely packed. There was a line going slightly up the stairs to be seated. Instead of waiting down below, we ventured up top where there was a second bar and lots of additional seating, although barely any seats were open. We grabbed two stools along the side wall and were greeted by a server within five minutes. We ordered a sampler of different types of wings, the medium, ginger, garlic, honey mustard and bbq. Overall the wings were good. Nice crisp to them but not overdone. What was a little disappointing is that all of the sauces tasted very similar. I don't know if it was because there wasn't a lot of sauce, or if they truly just were hard to differentiate the ones that we picked. We were hoping for a more distinct flavor between the types of wings and unfortunately just didn't get it. The space is nice they were setting up for live music upstairs. You can tell it is a popular spot as the Number of people waiting to get in was steady the entire time we're there, as well as a few hours later when we walked by again. There is no hostess but a very organized cue had been formed for who got the next table. We ventured upstairs and found a couple bar stools at a counter. I had heard a lot about the wings here and decided to give this place a try. It was a beautiful night and I believe this is the only place in Anoka that has rooftop seating. The floors were extremely dirty and when we got to the roof top seating, there were several tables that were dirty and had food still sitting on the table. They do allow smoking on the patio where ever, I wish they had a separate space for that. We sat down and it took 15 minutes before someone came to take our order. Another server came to our table and said a server would be with us. Because it took so long we pulled the menu on our phones and figured out what we were going to eat. Our sever was short with us and I overheard another table complaint about her and she said "Yea? Well join the line of complaints" Not very professional. She consistently forgot to grab things that we asked for and just seemed spacey. The other servers/ runners seemed to be good at their jobs, so may be she was new? There is free popcorn and my kids enjoyed that. I ordered cheese curds and fries as an appetizer, but all the food came out at once. They were out of pizza dough which seemed strange to me, so I switched the kids meal to the corn dogs. This place boasts about how good their wings are... I'm not sure why. The Buffalo wings I had barely had any sauce on them. The garlic garlic garlic wings were a dry rub and tasted like they just threw garlic power on them and called it a day. They do have an excellent ranch and blu cheese for dipping. The fries were well seasoned and good. The cheese curds tasted like what you would buy from a grocery store, not good at all. And the sauce was refrigerator cold. The French dip sandwich that my friend got was ok but nothing amazing. Overall, I would say this is on par with like an Applebees. Expect a dirty bar atmosphere with popcorn and chips all over the floor. The food in my opinion was sub par. Vibey - like the perfect dive bar, but with plenty of space (and two floors!). Lots of neon signs and funky decor. Plenty of seating even on a busy Friday night. Live music upstairs on weekends I believe. Free popcorn in true dive style. The drinks? Shockingly cheap - I had two seltzers for $8 and my jaw dropped. The menu? Don't even look at anything but the wings, you silly goose. If you're in a group of 2 or more, just get the 25-wing sampler platter so you can get 5 of each sauce and maximize your sauce samplings! The wings? Crispy to perfection (ask for extra done or extra crispy) - get both ranch and blue cheese (as a ranch snob this one passes with flying colors), and get a side of fries to even things out. The sauces? Unreal. Lightly sauced so the wings don't get soggy, but the flavor is still there. You truly can't go wrong with their long list of options, but highly recommend the Thai peanut, lemon pepper, and so many more. Could the service have been faster? Probably. I am not sure if it is because it was Super Bowl Sunday, but the wings were terrible, the establishment smelled, the wait time was insane, and you couldn't place an online order at any time of the day. As far as the food, I ordered the 25 wing sampler. All of the wings came in a pizza box, with no sauce, and no way to tell which flavor was which. They also were so bland that every wing tasted the same so getting a sampler was absolutely useless. Not to mention we had to add them to the air fryer to finish cooking them to our desired crispiness. Wings were a straight two thumbs down. Basic basket of fries cost $7. I've now sampled the Chernobyl (my favorite), the Habernaro Hots, the Garlicilada, the Rachilada, the Goldilada, and the Goldrush. See a theme here? I was told this by many people, but was hoping it wasn't the case. They were right. I sipped vodka sodas & our server was friendly and did a great job checking in us. Despite the large crowd, we were greeted and served without a huge wait. And we were not in a hurry. Our waitress was friendly, but very busy. My wife had a salad and 6 of Serum's "famous" wings. If you don't believe these are the best wings in Minnesota, then keep on scrolling. I could easily eat a tray of these everyday and die a happy fat young man. The vast majority in sauces, dry rubs, and heat are undoubtedly unmatched for how amazing each one is. If you can't find one you love, you probably don't actually like wings and should maybe go get checked. There's no way I could ever go here and not get a variety because they all are just so well done. We walked in as a young family with our 3 children, 2 of them small children, and there was a sign that said 'Seat yourself'. My husband found a table that was leaving, and we sat down. We were immediately confronted by an aggressive older man saying we hadn't waited our turn in line. We were unaware of any line, as it was busy and the sign said 'seat yourself'. This man proceeded to argue with us and then get a waitress who told us that we couldn't sit there, even though the sign clearly said 'seat yourself'. There were multiple adult customers staring at us and talking loudly about us like we had done something terrible. I felt like we were being attacked. Imagine a 'professional' establishment and grown adults ganging up on and kicking out a family with a 1 year old and 5 year old. Absolutely detestable. read more

Serums staff sexually harassed women, makes bets on if they will fall out of their clothing, changes standards per person rather than enforcing a common set of rules, and if they don't like you they will arbitrarily ban you. I have had staff tell me that they were making a bet on who could stamp women's boobs first, they have informed me to watch to the end of a show because a band's singer flashes her breasts, I have had security tell a friend of mine that he would let her touch his butt if she took and sent him a photo of my breasts, I have had security slip my butt. There is a female security that while we were showing each other pics of our kids she showed me a pic of her genitals and her breasts unsolicited. Staff regularly over pours and over serves--at times I have watched people that were obviously alcohol poisoned continue to be let to stay there--even though they were vomiting all over the restaurant and we're clearly in need of medical attention, and yet when I told the staff they should contact an ambulance they did nothing. Men grope women on the dance floor, and security will watch for a few minutes or give them a warning, but if they dislike a female they will ban them arbitrarily....for being too "underdressed"-- while other females come in wearing much less and security allows them to stay because they have bigger chests and they have a pool going on how long it will take the female to fall out of her top. Staff members will drink to excess when on shift. Some staff are extremely rude and say horrible things to customers. There is constant drama because of relationships and cheating within the staff as well. The bathroom upstairs smelled so badly of vomit for so long at one point that I told the assistant gm that I would come in and clean it--and then she finally had someone do that. I have also watched girls be served who were clearly underage. Finally, it is not safe. There are fights, men touching you unprovoked, women getting drugged....so many things that are unsafe and yet even when brought to attention of staff nothing changes. Do not recommend.....in fact....the city of anoka should definitely intervene. read more
