Average delivery-takeout pizza - better than Dominoes, not as good as Mansetti's - 3 stars. Until today I was one of the few people in the Twin Cities that hadn't tried Chanticlear Pizza. I'm calling them out as just average pizza - a solid 3 stars. GOOD: 1. The pizza arrived with lightning speed. They estimated 40 minutes. But the dude was at my door in a short 20 minutes. Not bad for a Saturday! 2. The pizza arrived hot & undamaged. 3. My thin crust was cooked absolutely perfectly - flawless! 4. The toppings on my 10" Meat Feast were pretty generous. BAD: 1. The delivery dude had completely inadequate change. This forced me to give him an overly generous tip. I sell at Farmer's Markets in the summer so I know change is a no-brainer, easy-peasy. Dude, stop being lazy. Carry some change! Keep a stack of 1s and 5s in your pocket. 2. They forgot one of my toppings. Bummer. 3. The red sauce was stingy, tasteless, and boring. If the red sauce was better, they'd have a winner. As it is, it's a big yawn. 4. The cost for my small 10" with soda and the delivery tip was pretty pricey. I dropped 32 bucks. (I guess it might have helped if I ordered something covered by one of their coupons.) 5. Their website totally sucks! It's completely geared to smart phone apps. I couldn't lookup the menu at all on my desktop computer. I had to actually drive to the store yesterday and pickup a paper takeout menu. I probably won't order from Chanticlear again. I ordered a pizza for delivery. My daughters and I are guest at a hotel in Ramsey. When the delivery person arrived, who I have been advised is the OWNER of this location, HE HAD THE ENTIRE WARMING BAG OPENED, MY PIZZA BOX STICKING OUT A LITTLE , ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF MY HOTEL ROOM DOOR. WTF!!! On the floor.. I called to advise the location of my total disgust of my food and the bag that other people's food is being delivered in, being placed on the floor. I was advised that the delivery man was the OWNER and that's how he wants to deliver food. Then I was asked "Well how dirty is this hotel floor" Really?? It's a floor that people from all over the place are walking on. Like I told him, I don't allow people to keep shoes on when coming into my house. So this was appalling to me. I also advised him that I'm a healthcare provider and that this strategy of delivery could put people at risk of being exposed to WHATEVER IS ON THE HOTEL FLOOR! If these people can't see the issue with placing the warming bag and my food that I just paid for on the floor of a hotel hallway, then I just pray they educate themselves on a better way to give contactless delivery. The pizza looked good, I tried a few bites, couldn't enjoy it. If they think it's ok to put ur food on the floor during delivery, what nasty choices could they be making while cooking and boxing up ur food??? I will NEVER order from this place again. The pizza here is great, but this review is more to do with the great service here. So the Tuesday after Memorial Day my wife and I ordered a pizza for dinner and we were told that it would take about 20-25 minutes to be ready. Great, so my wife goes to pick up the pizza about 20 minutes later and without making this too long it took 50 minutes to get our food. Doesn't sound like a 5-star review thus far, and if the story ended here it wouldn't be. The following day I got a call from the store manager apologizing for any inconvenience and he offered us a free pizza. This is the kind of customer service that is lacking in so many places today. Kudos to Chanticleers for taking the effort to reach out and make things right. We will be ordering our pizzas here from now on. read more

I've been in the pizza industry for many years earlier in my life. I can respectfully say their pizza is excellent, very good dough and fresh toppings. Also one of the only restaurants that will still make a XL thin crust. read more

Hi, I had an experience on the 27th of January that is as bad as it gets with your Anoka/Ramsey location. First, I tried to order your monthly special pizza online and, on the app. The app and the site does not have an option to choose the monthly special pizza. So, I call in to order at 4:47pm. I then try to use a coupon and am not allowed to since those have to be used on online orders or orders on the app, but I can't use the app or online to choose that pizza. I still place the order coupon or no coupon. I am told to come pick up the pizza in 20-25 minutes and the time is 4:50pm when the call ends. I know pizza places are busy, so I don't show up early, I show up at 5:16pm. I sit patiently in my car until 5:33pm at which time I call the store and ask for the update on my pizza. After I give them my information, I am put on hold and about a minute later a different lady comes on the phone. After going over my information again and informing them what time I arrive and that I have been waiting in the parking lot for 17 minutes past when my pizza was supposed to be ready, I am then put on hold again. After a minute this lady tells me my pizza is not there and asking where I am, to which I inform her, I'm sitting in your parking lot, looking at the entrance. I am then told my pizza was given to a delivery driver and he will be back in about 5 minutes and tells me they will bring it out when the delivery driver arrives. The delivery guy arrives and walks the pizza out, not mask on, we are in covid times, we should probably be wearing masks in the store and when in contact with people and hands me a lukewarm pizza. How many people have now touched my pizza box, again, for covid reasons. I leave the parking lot at 5:45, almost an hour after I placed the order and 30 minutes after the estimated time it would be ready. By the time I got home the pizza was room temperate. Many things went wrong here. No apologies, no one took responsibility for the situation and there seemed to be no care to resolve the issue. How the situation was handled and the little care that was give, I was made to feel ashamed for placing the order. Offering customers cold food and not offering to make a new pizza or warm it up. I have never felt so unappreciated by the lack or care for the customer or care to fix the issue but instead tell the member, keep waiting and we can give you a cold pizza that was out for delivery. I feel this experience needs a resolution. Then no response when I email the location, very disappointed and unacceptable. read more

Chanticlear has always been my favorite place to eat....until today. I would not recommend ANYONE patronizing a business where the manager is so disrespectful and condescending to his customers. This is ONLy the Anoka site. When they delivered our pizza, all 3 large pizzas were smashed because they were tipped. We were not given a discount or refunded but questioned why we ate it. What? We waited an hour while my friends moved me in to my new place and they were hungry. Why can a manager get away with this customer service when the driver even admitted to tipping the pizzas ? $80 in business and you can bet it will be the last they will ever get my business. 8 people were so disgusted that they will never eat there either. I hope they each tell at least 8 people so that Cole, the manager can learn what word of mouth does to a business. read more

The pizza is pretty good, if you get it hot and the right pizza. Although NOT worth the price. You can go to a real pizzeria and pay less and have about the same pizza. The pan crust is really yummy, although when you get extra cheese, it barely covers the sauce. The cheese bread is awesome as well as the thin crust. There aren't a whole lot of pizza places that deliver around here, it's either them or Domino's. The prices are horrendous for pizza delivery, the last time I ordered I wasn't told a total and I paid with a credit card, when they got here, I was shocked to see it at almost $50! I guess the $2+ per topping adds up. It's good pizza, but the prices have got to be lowered, we're in a recession, especially when there is $5 pizza and $6 pizza and a Papa Murphy's all on opposite sides of the intersection. The delivery also takes forever, and we only live 2 miles, if that, from the store. It's okay, but overall, I wouldn't make this your "Saturday night pizza and a movie" choice. read more

We had a really bad experience here with a pick up order. They screwed it up and I didn't notice until I got home a few mounts later. We called and they were super rude and wouldn't fix it or comp is a pizza. They made us bring it back and made us a new one. It was too expensive for all that trouble. read more

We have patronized this store very regularly for almost two years.The pizza is alright, however; the customer service is bad. On multiple occasions we have received either the wrong pizza, had our pizza delivered to our neighbors, and not receiving the soda we ordered. On one occasion, it took over 2 and a half hours for a single pizza. When calling to check on the order status, we were told there was an error in the online ordering system. Although we didn't receive the pizza, we were still charged for it. On a recent occasion, we received the wrong pizza. When we called them, we were told that they would send us out the correct pizza. Five minutes, they called back and accused us of lying about what I ordered and that we would still be charged for the entire order. The woman became argumentative, rude, and unprofessional and did not once apologize. Even after discussing with management and staff in person at the restaurant, we did not receive a single apology. We were treated poorly and the staff was unprofessional and rude. One particular employee went so far as to say that they would never serve us again. We're really disappointed with this experience and will not be ordering from this location again. read more
