Please be aware before hiring Servant Plumbing. I did not want to write this review. I made several attempts to resolve these concerns directly before deciding to share my experience. I hired Servant Plumbing for two jobs in my home. One reason I chose them was the cross in their logo and the Christian values reflected in their advertising. The first job was a small repair in my back bathroom: replacing the toilet tank components, the shut-off valve, and a 10-12-inch supply line. The second job involved diagnosing and repairing a hot water leak in my hall bathroom. Steve estimated both jobs at $1,275, which I paid in cash before work began. The back bathroom repair was completed, and the workmanship was excellent. The hall bath repair, however, turned out to be much more extensive than anticipated. I was told it would require significantly more work, including replacing the tub, which I could not afford. I understood and accepted that the larger repair would not be completed. My concern arose when I received a refund of $670, meaning I was charged $635 for the small back bathroom repair alone. Given the scope of the work, I questioned whether that amount was reasonable and requested an itemized invoice showing labor, materials, and hours worked. I never received one. Steve also told me that part of the $635 charge covered a tool he had purchased while attempting the hall bathroom repair. I was never informed beforehand that I would be responsible for purchasing a tool. When I questioned this, I was told I could have the tool if I drove to Walterboro--about an hour from my home--to pick it up. After several business days of trying to resolve these concerns with Steve, I contacted the Mount Pleasant office. Mike returned my call and stated that the larger hall bathroom repair would normally cost around $850 (excluding the cost of a new tub). Based on that information, the completed back bathroom repair would have been approximately $425. He said he would discuss the matter with Steve and get back to me. After waiting another week without hearing from anyone, I called Mike again. He told me he had not yet had time to investigate my concerns or speak with Steve. On top of this, Mike said Steve had just gone on vacation. I was told it would be at least another week before they could discuss the matter. At that point, I felt helpless, unheard, frustrated, and taken advantage of... There were additional concerns, but these were the primary issues. As a widow and the caregiver for my 27-year-old son with severe special needs, this was a significant expense for my family. I genuinely hoped these concerns could be resolved privately. Since they were not, I felt it was important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. read more

The repair person showed up at my home and quoted me over $500.00 for a job that another local plumber ended up charging approximately $150.00 for. (Basic Leak from a pipe under the kitchen sink, It was nothing more than PCV pipe that had become worn and needed replacing.) The technician was nice and seemed professional however he reminded me of the used car salesman that quotes you a ridiculous price and then tries to determine if you'll fall for it or not. I thanked him for his time but opted for another local plumber. It was disappointing that they couldn't or didn't offer more competitive rates. My 1996 but brand new to me home had all old poly pipe. Insurance companies don't want to insure a home with it- so we bought knowing within 30 days we needed a total repipe! Mike came out and walked the property via FT during our due diligence and gave us a fair quote. After closing, I had another repipe company in that bid little less but did not have the "user friendly" attitude Mike had. Also not the same warranty Servant offered! Mike, Stewart and Ryan were in my home for three whole days. My day started out pretty terrible. A clogged toilet, which I thought I had managed by plunging, then walked away from, overflowed, then began to leak through the ceiling of the floor below. Nightmare, right? At 8:00am, I called Servant Plumbing and left a message. Twenty minutes later, I received a call back that someone would be out to see me between 9 and 10:00am. Alright, feeling better. At 9:15, Marcus called to let me know he was around 15 minutes away, and I told him where to park. He arrived about 20 minutes later. Now, I had turned the water off, so the nightmare was basically under control. We had cleaned up the water, and it had stopped dripping through the ceiling. All that was left was for Marcus to work his magic. Which he did, in about 5minutes. He augered the toilet, wrote up the invoice, and did it all while being pleasant and friendly-- yes, the man whistled, and yes, it was charming. I can't rave enough about Servant Plumbing. I called them on a Monday afternoon around 3pm after dealing with a backed up sink and garbage disposal all morning, then realizing that our drain line to the washing machine was spitting out water everywhere. Needless to say I was stressed. I actually looked on Yelp for a plumber. I sent out quotes and called a few people. I was a little disappointed to hear that it was going to cost at least $60 for someone to come out. I saw that Servant offered a free estimate so I called them. They said they billed by the job (I'm guessing instead of by the hour). An hour later he was here fixing our plumbing. I forget the name of the Tech who came out. He went under house and found the problem. It was bit harder than we all expected. It's now Thursday and (knock on wood) we haven't had any issues. In total it costs $300 to fix. I am happy it's fixed. It was definitely not something we could have done ourselves. We will definitely be using Servant Plumbing again! read more

We had a clog of unknown origin and were getting worried that we would be the guys with a backhoe in our front yard and the huge bill to go with it. We found these guys on yelp and couldn't believe the reviews. Nevertheless, we called and they called us back in seven (7) minutes. They offered to come out that night, but we said it could wait, so we made an appointment for the next day at three. I was shocked to hear a knock on the door at a few minutes prior to 3, and it was a well dressed, well spoken professional plumber. He listened to my problem and then proceeded to diagnose it. Turns out we had roots growing into a poorly done prior repair. He dug it up, cleaned out the problem and prepped it for a proper fix. He hand dug it in less than hour! I was breaking a sweat just watching him work. He put in a proper clean out and put everything back in its place. Well done and superb! Oh, he cleaned out the trap for the shower for no charge.
