These guys are terrific! I just purchased a new construction home in Mount Pleasant and the plumber installed the waterline to the fridge wrong(so you could not connect it to the water/ice line on the fridge). I called these guys and they called back right away. They were able to send someone out the next morning(even though it was New Year's Eve)! The plumber came right on time and was quick and efficient. I am so happy to have filtered water and ice...and I am so happy I found these guys. When you have to call someone for a plumbing repair, 99% of the time it is a negative situation that is urgent and stressful. Servant Plumbing turns a negative situation into a positive one. This time we had a toilet leak which was not urgent, but we needed it done. Within 3 hours of calling them first thing on a Monday morning, the job was completed and the technician was pulling away from the house. I am so happy with this company and the work they did for me! They returned my call when they stated they would, came out on time, gave me an affordable estimate, set a time and date for the work to be done, and he was there exactly when he said he would. While here, he was able to save the wall (we thought we would have to go through the wall to get to the outside faucet), and cleaned up the mess when he was finished. I found Servant Plumbing in a Facebook recommendation group, and quickly came to Yelp to verify the reviews. This plumbing service is truly five-star. I knew my garbage disposal was on its last legs, and it developed a leak rendering my double kitchen sink useless. Another company put me on their schedule for the next day. Fair enough as my request was not a true emergency. However, as any busy adult knows, the prospect of washing dishes in a bathroom sink until your garbage disposal is fixed is not inviting. The sooner it's repaired or replaced, the better. Josh responded to my call quickly--within 10 minutes. He put me on the schedule same day understanding my emergent non-emergency. He provided a courtesy call when he left he job before mine so I knew when to expect him. He and his apprentice were kind and courteous, and they quickly diagnosed my original disposal dead on the scene. He had a brand name model in stock and had it installed in less than an hour. I am sure as a homeowner I could have purchased and installed a replacement disposal on my own to save some money, but it would have taken me an entire Saturday or more! I decided to stay in my lane and leave this up to the experts. I was charged a fair price, the work and parts are warrantied for two years. No complaints, and I found my go-to plumber. I used Servant because the call back time, reviews and apparent honesty. Response time for callback and arrival was quick!! They were very nice and work done was great as well!!! My only problem was that I was quoted $325.00 before the work started, then after the work had started it went up to 450.00. Then went down to 425.00 which is what I paid. My only advice is be very clear on the rate BEFORE the work is started. Get it in writing. There was no mention it would cost 425 or 450 to me before the work began. read more

Our shower faucet malfunctioned so it was impossible to turn off. I cut the water off to the house and called Servant Plumbing after hours. They responded within a few minutes and I had an appointment confirmed the next morning. Josh came at the stated time and quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem, which was a badly corroded cartridge that meant the faucet needed to be replaced. Joshua did an emergency repair for me, a major sewage line backup at one of my family's rental properties. He did it with me 3,000 miles away, my sister in the hospital, and me super stressed out. Our mom passed away last year and I swear, the very second the deed gets transferred in my sister's name, her tenant calls upset: both toilets and her tub were backed up with sewage, and they had no way to take a shower. I originally gave him 4 stars, because he forgot to email me the invoice, which I need for tax & reimbursement purposes, as well as the 25% new customer discount that was advertised on Yelp. However, I bumped him back up to 5 stars because as soon as he became aware of this, he addressed it immediately. All I had to do was let him know! These guys are awesome! I found them on yelp (honestly I called because I couldn't believe Jerry's review below about the 15 minute call back). I thought for sure he had to be a friend posting for them. 15 minutes if it's not an answering service? Sure enough... 6 minutes! It wasn't some scheduler calling either, it was Josh the person that actually came and did the job. I asked him for my best case and worst case scenarios price wise over the phone and my bill wasn't a penny over what he quoted when he came out 2 days later (my garbage disposal did decide it was time for retirement). Josh was awesome! Clean, quick, courteous. Louie (pretty sure this is the owner from the below posts?) even called today to check and make sure all was well with the product and service. I got the impression this was a small shop (only a few guys) I'm not sure where they are finding the time in the day for this epic level of customer service! Called Servant Plumbing at 6pm on Christmas eve. We had a bathtub with the water stuck in the full "on" position, so the whole house water had to be turned off. Louie came out to our house around 7:30p that night and installed a new Moen positemp cartridge ... problem solved. Half the time these guys wait days to call back, or sometimes never, and they're always "busy". These are the same guys I often see headed into happy hour at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Updated: So the owner of this company tracked me down using the internet and then a voice mail that said, "...if this is the Scott Blalock that had a bad experience with Servant Plumbing... please call me....". Long story short, the guy was very nice, although outspoken. He told me that the tech in my story, had had several issues and was let go as a result. Then he said I was charged too much and wanted to send me $100 back. I told him I appreciated that and I would update my review. The interesting part is he really did not care if I updated the review, he just wanted to do what he thought was right. I think it was unfortunate that he had to take the $100 out of his pocket because of a bad employee, but I guess that is part of owning a company and standing by your service. I will say that it is very much appreciated and I think it speaks highly of him. Thanks to him for that. I think this owner is trying to do things the right way. I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I called this company rather than the big boys because of the christian marketing even though I was quoted a higher price than the other on the phone. Dealing with good local companies is important to us. While I am not disparaging this company, as I am sure they are generally ok, my personal experience was less than I had hoped and will probably just go with the big boys next time. (Note: I am currently remodeling my home and have a bit of plumbing work to do. Had this plugged toilet experience went well, I probably would have given them more work) The Tech did un-plug my toilet for the quoted $225 (no break given I took toilet off and put back on,) however I was happy at that point. Then I asked him to sweat on the angle valve I had purchase replacing a leaking one. The Tech quoted me $225 to sweat on the valve stating that it cost $225 for him to break his kit out, and that he makes $140,000.00 a year because people can not sweat joints. He did say that I could return the valve for a valve with a compression connection and do it myself.Then he told me that if he did it, he would teach me to sweat a connection and then I would know how. Given I am remodeling and have more plumbing work to do I thought, $225 to learn a valuable skill, sure lets do it. Moments later the tech came in announcing he had to go to the store for flux as he was out. Now, this is where confusion in the story happened. He then said, "I'll just pick up that valve for you and take care of that for you." To which I understood that while he was at the store he would just buy the compression valve and put it on for me. He came back,put the compression valve on, (no class on sweating joints) and charged me the full $450.00. To this day, I am still wondering how he got me to pay $225.00 to put a compression joint on that I could have done in 5 minutes as well, and he did not follow thru with the sweating class. Oh well, he can keep my $225.00 taking his yearly this year to $140,225.00. I had a leak in my kitchen faucet causing a flood of standing water under the sink. I called this morning and received a call back in 10 minutes. Incredible service! He made checked that it was not just a loose connection, and recommended that I get a new faucet before the technician arrived so I wouldn't need someone to come out twice. A competent, honest plumber is a rare breed, and I think I have just found one here in the Charleston area. Our home had some cheap plastic valves from the builder and we were having leaks and failed faucets. Our kitchen disposal also required replacement. We called Louis and got an appt the next day. Josh came the next day, evaluated our needs, and made us a very reasonable offer to upgrade our plumbing and replace the disposal. He also gave us a great deal on installing some new faucets while doing the job. He set up another appt to complete the work just days later to give us time to purchase our new fixtures. Joshua is great! He is very professional and does an excellent job. Our hot water heater went out last year (2014) and we found Servant Plumbing on Angie's List. Due to the way our house was built, it took some extra rigging and hard labor for him to install our new one. He spent quite awhile working on it. Recently, we needed some drains snaked and I used Porches.com to find a plumber. We had another plumber come by to give us quotes on the work we needed done and while he was here he examined our hot water heater. He commented on what a fantastic job the previous plumber (Servant Plumbing) had done on the installation. He also asked me what they had charged and when I told him he was shocked. He said we got an amazing deal! After he left, I called Servant Plumbing again (not sure why I didn't just do that to begin with) and Joshua came over and gave us his quotes on the same items the other plumber did.
