This is for the spot next door to the saloon itself, also owned by Servente. It's a super light-duty grocery &liquor with a small-stationed coffee shop. I tried a local special coffee called the Shakerato. Damn good! Odd mix of stuff inside. There's some swag for a local musician Scott Patrick, which has kind of swanky sunglasses. A few liquors and wines, all upmarket selections that'd be top shelf at average local watering holes. Give em a try! read more

Came here with some friends on 1/04/24 and there was a rude little blonde bar tender that made some ignorant comments about my age. Then there was another blonde customer at the bar telling us to try the Blonde ale because she was sitting with the the guy that owns the brewery . That beer was terrible by the way. We found this place after asking some locals about where we could listen to some live music. And a great find at that! This place definitely caters to the locals and is one of the few places that stays open late. The owners are really friendly and their drink selections are solid. While I didn't try any food since this was after dinner every time I went in, I have found several beers I like and their Vaquero margarita is exceptional. I'm just glad we walked from our hotel. They're good and sneaky potent. Not to mention, the prices are really fair as far as bars go. Every time I've gone in (this is now a Sonora go to), I've found that the locals are very engaging and we've met some very nice people there. A must try if you like small local hangouts! read more

Perfection! We had a blast with Andrew and his karafun! Karaoke night brought the talent! Holy sh!t! This was our best night in town, and I can't stop thinking about it. Even the hot bartender sang! I felt like I saw a free concert! What in the heck do y'all drink or eat to make you so talented? Out of the dozen or so people who sang, like two were below the average professional performer. Servente's should pay these folks to entertain on non-Karaoke nights! It's worth the trip up from San Diego just to go to this bar! I wish I took pics, but check out their IG. read more

This place is magical. For a low key evening full of friendly faces, beautiful music, intriguing art, and even antiques to browse (and buy) - come here. Serventes Saloon - has been under new management for well over a year now - and the new owners have cultivated a unique experience - that is absolutely lovely. My husband and I wandered in here a couple of weeks ago - and we were instantly smitten. From their shuffleboard table, to their extensive wine list, to the old pictures on the wall, to their gorgeous back room acoustics - Serventes was a place that we were eager to return to. We had our opportunity this past weekend - when a friend played a solo show here. From the moment we walked in - we both signed contently in unison. The place was full of goodness and life. In the backroom - people were intently listening to the music, sitting down. In the front room - friends and locals conversed and enjoyed glasses of wine and spirits. The whole place was full of smiles. My favorite aspect of this special spot - is that you can catch live music regularly on the weekends - and the performances are fairly early if you want to enjoy the rest of your evening at home or at another spot in the area. Everything was great, until I looked up. Serventes has a ceiling that is tattered in United States currency. As I examined some of the bills tacked up, I noticed one bill had a SWASTIKA drawn on it. I questioned the bartender about this and she responded that there was nothing anyone could do about it. I asked if there was a ladder so I could take it down, she said that the building didn't have a ladder. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed by the public immediately. As proof, I have attached a picture to this post. This is hideous. read more

$1.50 beers on tap and shuffle board is 50 cents! The ambience of this place is really chill, and since it's one of the oldest bars in the area, it only adds to the appeal. It was 3 o'clock when we went in and there were a couple of what looked like regulars at the bar, we couldn't believe the beers were only a dollar 50 on tap, there are other bears are more expensive I guess but they weren't the ones that we wanted anyways. And that it only cost $.50 to play unlimited shuffleboard! read more

Although I've lived in Tuolumne County for around 30 years I had never been in Serventes - I'm not the saloon/bar type I guess. Recently an online friend let me know that the band he plays was performing during a Cajun Christmas Celebration. The music was fantastic, and I had an extremely tasty bloody Mary - all good.
