Very happy with this family owned business. I'm so stressed as my small garage door came off the track and it wouldn't close all the way. A rat got in as I live in the country. Pest control told me this morning that I need to get my garage fixed. Time Line- Sunday afternoon: Garage Door decided to stop working I called and left a message. Monday morning: Received a callback. We scheduled an appointment for Weds because that was what worked best for our schedule. We were given a window between 8 and 9am. Weds morning: He showed up promptly at 8am, assessed the damage and unfortunately gave us the bad news that we needed a new motor. Not surprised for a 25 year old garage door opener. Gave us price. We agreed. He ordered the part and informed us he would return the following afternoon to install it. Thursday afternoon: He arrived and installed it quickly. He also made sure to completely clean up after himself (seems like a normal thing but you'd be surprised by some companies). My husband mentioned a few of the door rollers have been coming off the track sporadically as long as we've lived here (4 years). He replaced a few of the wheels to prevent this from happening... AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! Wrote a check and he was on his way and we had a new working garage door! Overall, It was an excellent experience, reasonable prices and quality work. My garage got stuck (only to find out it got jammed & unhooked because of a box that was in the way) and it was late in the afternoon. I called many places & some were not available anymore. We have used Service 1st, for around 14 years. At first he replaced the garage door, but left the 'old motor' that was doing fine. Then my mom crashed into the door, and he replaced it, followed by many years later coming and replacing the motor when it finally died. Just had them come and check out our sensors that were malfunctioning replaced the broken sensors, tightened and greased the door. I am rebuilding a house that we lost in the 2017 Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa. (7000 houses burned in 24 hours). Traumatic experience during the fire and the rebuilding process is not fun either. However...Adam at Service 1st Overhead Garage Doors is awesome. My door installation is kind of tricky because I have a three car garage with one of the doors 11 feet tall for an RV and the other at 8 feet tall. The inclusion of glass panels in the doors made the fabrication tricky. Adam made all the right calculations to make sure the glass panels lined up! The installation was impeccable as well. Our garage door motor was older that dirt and finally took a crap about two years ago. These guys came out and replaced it with a new heavy duty Lift Master unit. It ran great until about a week ago. It let me out to go to work but wouldn't work again to let my wife out. She called these guys and they showed up about an hour later. They were a little perplexed as these units have a sterling reputation. Long story short is they replaced a circuit board and it works fine now. They also greased the rollers and door.
