This is a real and very honest review. My family was a very loyal customer to this company for over 10+ years. In the beginning they cared about their customers. As time passed they shifted to what they can sell you. My family is military so we wanted to use a company we thought we could rely on as when called to duty an AC/HEAT issue is not something we wish to worry about. We bought a brand new unit from this company and upon initial install it was installed incorrectly. We were patient as techs were in and out of our home almost 3-4 times a month for years with a new born baby. Each time a tech came the problem never matched what the other stated. Again, we are serving our country so the amount of times stated were from us taking time off to fix issues. We bought everything they suggested to fix issues and still never enjoyed unit. Now, three days before warranty is up they state we have a leak and it must be replaced. We had our unit serviced every month including all the additional times they were out to fix original issues from install. As a family and Service members we ask that you do use this company. We trusted them to fix issues that were never resolved as we were patient with them, only to be told warranty is up and we can pay them for a new unit. read more

Here's a followup up to a previous review I wrote. I received an email from Service Experts asking me to call their resolutions department. After calling 4 times on 4 different days, I was finally able to talk with a representative, who informed me there was nothing they could do. Advice #1: don't bother calling them. They will not help you. My experience with Midland is that they set me up for a 10-year contract at $400 per month. That is a total of $48,000 for rental equipment that they would take at the end of the term. I subsequently paid $30,000 early payoff penalty just to get out of the contract. I'm a retiree, and that almost wiped me out. Advice #2: As I said in my previous post, avoid Midland and Service Experts. You will be better off. Wish I could give a zero star. Richard M. read more

The problem with Midlands is the business practice - we paid by check for install of new water heater. Paid by check the installer took check - then company claimed check didn't work - wanted another check but wouldn't return 1st check. The first check was valid but wanted 2nd check without returning first. There was no reason the first check didn't go through - it was valid and funds were in bank. Clearly no one would give a second check without obtaining the first back as instructed by bank to do. Very bad business practices and the office "manager" was extremely unprofessional and not customer friendly. read more

Replace limit switch component on 1/23/26. Heater completely stop working when it was working before but shoots off but was able to switch back on w/ breaker. Advise me the unit needed to be replaced after replacing part(another story time)...1/24/26 2 other people came to check on unit bc it stop working after part was replaced. That's when I was giving many excuses and unit needed to be replaced. Request another company for a 2nd opinion. Company #1 never turned the switch back on from the outside left me with no heat for 5 whole days during the cold storm. Even the receptionist tried to make me believe they wasn't trying to scam me!!! They were more about trying to sale me another unit. Advised me my unit upstairs needed to be replaced also. It's working fine now...Donny left me his Residential Sales Consultant card.... oh yeah they sent me a saleman to look at my unit w/ a tech whom left without talking to me. This was prepaid maintenance club service where they allow us to provide the filter, saving us quite a bit (Midland Air advice on a previous visit) which would be out of pocket EVERY visit. We have a tight space, so they do have to limit who can work on our unit; sometimes this requires a reschedule. read more

I had a Brand New, top of the Line, 3 Ton TRANE system installed for $4035!!!!! If your customers would totally do their research and do the math, they would see that Midlands Service "Experts" are TOTALLY RIPPING their customers off!! These BRAND NEW HVAC units that Midland Service "Experts" are installing....most have a 10 year warranty, so if any parts break or go bad, these parts are under warranty anyways, so why is Midlands Service "Experts" charging your customers these ASTRONOMICAL prices???? As one of the sales managers informed me that he sold the Advantage plan to "a little old lady", & now she has "Piece of Mind", but now she's out A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY for that small amount of "piece of mind"???? After they came out went though my house , looked at the job I needed . I was told 811 needed to do their survey. I did that. I then called 811 set an appointment to survey again another location for the same job. I was assured they would be available once this was done. 11/12/24 I got a call from them saying they are not able to do the job due to liability issues. Over 2 weeks I waited for that? Then you ask them about a private survey company which is what they said I needed , they still say due to liability they don't want the job. Not a good business plan. Let me start off by saying extremely disappointed in the sales process. A little backstory is I work in the financial services industry in the manner in which the sales process was handled, which violated several CFPB and federal regulations. The agent signed all legal documents without my knowledge or consent. He entered into a financial obligation on my behalf, without having power of attorney, or my written consent. A word to everyone, considering using this company do not I repeat, do not let them sign the agreements on your behalf. Please read all contracts, disclosures, and applicable documents prior to entering into any agreement. Being friendly and professional has nothing to do with how this was handled. You need to talk with your sales team. No need for me to call or email. This was a major violation. Something your org needs to address or be in severe hot water. Signing legal financial documents on customers' behalf without a POA is a major NO-NO. This practice needs to stop immediately! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I made an account to specifically share my story about this company. They do poor workmanship, will mislead you every step of the way as they try to assist you, and do not make good on their word when resolving disputes. My wife and I needed to get a new HVAC and air handler in early 2021. We used this company and signed up for their advantage program. The units were installed and we agreed to a monthly payment until the equipment and was paid in full. As part of the deal, we were supposed to get free service appointments, etc. Almost immediately after the install, we noted that our air wasn't working properly. The unit would blast loudly almost like a rocket taking off, it wouldn't keep our home cool through the summer, interior humidity was through the roof, and our electric bills skyrocketed. I called and made numerous complaints. Each time, a service technician would come out and review the equipment, tell me it was fine, and let me know that they "Needed to make some small adjustments and we'd be fine." After two years of complaining, they finally sent out the service manager for the entire location, Mr. DJ Flynn. Upon looking at my exterior HVAC unit for maybe 5 minutes, he recognized on sight that my unit was supposed to be equipped with "two stage cooling" but it wasn't enabled for some reason. This was causing the home to try and enable a second gear when it wasn't cooling fast enough, but since it was not properly enabled, the unit was pumping hot air into the home. This created a feedback loop where my air was constantly running without cooling the home, raising my bills and leaving us extremely uncomfortable. Mr. Flynn noted the following errors with my install: - The exterior compressor was incorrectly wired to disable two stage cooling - The air handler was incorrectly wired to disable two stage cooling - The zone board was not properly programmed for two stage cooling - The fan speed was turned to maximum high, causing the loud noises and further drain on electric bills - The wires leading to the thermostats which would control two stage cooling HAD BEEN CLIPPED AND TUCKED BACK INTO THE WALL BY THE ORIGINAL INSTALLERS Mr. Flynn essentially admitted that the original installers must have elected not to enable two stage cooling as it requires extra work, essentially admitting that I received a negligent install. He apologized for the inconvenience and was able to rewire and fix the unit in a matter of hours. My wife and I dealt with over 2 years of higher electric bills and discomfort simply because representatives from Midland Air Service Experts (both the original installers and every single workman sent after - no less than 4 people) were too stupid or lazy to diagnose the issue and wire the unit correctly. Due to the high electric bills, I lodged a complaint with the company. I had to deal with the senior leadership (managers) and legal/billing departments due to the severity of this issue. They agreed to transfer ownership of all equipment over to me, cancel my Advantage Program membership, and charge me no further money. I was also assured that any paperwork that might encumber the deed to my home (such as a UCC-2 filing) would be removed immediately. I received confirmation of all of this in writing via a letter from the company dated July 29, 2024. I tried to engage in a simple home refinance in August of '24. I discovered that Midlands Air Service Experts had taken no action to remove the UCC-2 filing on deed. I discovered on 10/2/24 that, in spite of the above, the company had processed ANOTHER two recurring credit card charges. I was billed on 8/25 and 9/25, both well after my account was supposed to be closed. I called to complain about the charges, and the representative who answered the phone looked me up and told me that MY ACCOUNT WAS STILL ACTIVE IN THEIR SYSTEMS. In conclusion, this company does poor work, will lie to your face, and does not follow through on their promises. Use literally anyone else for your needs. read more

This company used to be decent. Now they like to overcharge for simple replacement parts. During my annual preventative maintenance visit I was informed that my air purifier system needed to be replaced and was shown a picture (not the actual assembly) of mold growth inside the filtration system. The cost for a replacement was $3700. The part itself can be obtained for around $1500, so $2200 for labor on a "plug and play " component. I should have gone with my gut and replaced it myself. They also sent out a salesman with the technician. Kind of weird in my opinion. The salesman told me that I should upgrade my annual service membership, to save money and warranty the new equipment that already comes with a five year warranty. Why do I need two warranties? After the fact, I ended up paying for the part and cancelled my 10 year service membership. Lesson learned. I'll replace the filter and UV lights myself from now on to help recoup my financial loss. read more

I had a salesman come out to give us a price for a total new system. I made a fatal mistake of believing what he told us. I should have know better since they put in the system when the house was built with just the lowest size of ac unit and heating system not being large enough for our house and not enough returns. But went ahead and believed what I was told. NEVER AGAIN. I am trying to buy out my lease and found out it's only $45 less than when it was put in a year ago. In addition, we did not receive all the rebates promised. The I crew that installed the system as great very professional. Happy with product, but so not like being mislead by sales. They just took advantage of my 80 year old parents and sold them a $20,000 unit due to a problem that they just happened to find at a regular maintenance appointment. A problem that was so bad that there was so much rust and leakage that wasn't there 6 months prior? Magically, they had the new unit and were ready to install it the same day. To all ladies that wonder why we have to be concerned about getting the "Truth" when it comes to needing Any kind of work done, ie car, plumbing, electrical, hvac, etc etc etc. I know I'm not the only one who gets frustrated... Ugh. So this is my story. Mom needed a repair, she called Midland HVAC and the offer is 120.00/year or $10.00 a month for a maintenance service contract. (Twice a year). Dang, what's the catch? She needed a repair, it was over $400.00. (Fair enough). She insisted I call and use them. A young man came out on Saturday and said everything looked good But? I had biological growth on my coals, and "it's an older unit and I live in the South so it's common." My unit is running 30% less efficient and to add more life I should install these lights to burn off the mold I'm assuming is what he was referencing. Like most, I asked, "Well how much is it". Instead of "10.00 a month, it'll be 49.00 a month". What exactly am I purchasing? We service it, add a unit to burn off the mold, replace bulbs, twice a year we come out. Makes my unit more efficient and air quality, helps with allergies and Asthma. Lol So I asked again, Well what's the total cost? Once again 49/month. He had a lady call me to confirm, I asked her, Yep, 49/month. Any ways, long story short, you get the picture. He installed it, left me a pamphlet , had me sign two documents on an IPad and left. As the weekend progressed I once again wondered what was I buying for almost 600.00 a year. I called today and the customer service lady says it's 3650. I asked 36.50 so it's actually less than the 49.00, she says No ma'am it's 3650.00!. You can imagine my response. I was beyond pissed... Why are people so dishonest? Treat everyone, female or male with respect and honesty? I asked numerous times, Heating and air is not my expertise, respiratory therapy is. Of course you know I was not so nice, they are coming and pulling this air purification system tomorrow and I am telling everyone. Like I told her, thats a price point where you have terms and their is a conversation about what exactly you are purchasing. It never happened. I've had my unit inspected at time of purchase, the air ducts replaced another inspection and I thought if you are servicing it you should be cleaning the coils every 6 months, anyway. everytime you call they say you can ask for service online, well i'm 77yo and did this and when i called the next morning and told them my appointment was for 4 to 8pm, they said there was no record of this, well i checked twice and it said same thing, what i'm telling you call them and forget the damn internet, i have NEW unit and have nothing but problems, about $15,000 and has been nothing but trouble, on NEW unit they replace coils as it was losing freon, now that is a hint as i have a lemon, now this year it will not even get under 77 degrees, well we run it at 78 but when we have people over we turned it down and will not go below 77 , they need to get me new unit if leaking again or just give me my money back and take out, now i have their maintenance plan but i guess they did not catch low freon?????, i also got a tankless water heater from them and it works fine but they dont care and you have to BEG them to come out,,,,,WAITING on them read more

Used them for 14yrs. At some point, they were bought by another out of state owner. I had been under contract all those years prior, paying for regular mtc of my units - one of which was a pretty new Lennox system and air handler. All good. Well, our regular Midlands' techs came for a routine call, bringing a 'new hire' who managed to deliberately blow the compressor of my 4yr old Lennox system as well as blow the air handler all in same visit in hopes of selling me a new system. When this happened, Midland's techs decided they couldn't restore function that day so they opted to abandon me to continue their scheduled appts that day. Out of desperation, I called another reputable locally owned company "C" to see if I could get another set of eyes on the problem and got very lucky - because C had one of their best/brightest available to send immediately. That C tech showed me what it took to blow that compressor. Showed me that the wires that were heavily secured by mfr to the backside of the compressor were forcibly pulled, taken out of the harness and deliberately connected to blow the compressor. Upon inspecting the air handler, his assessment there was that the unit was also deliberately blown and why he believed that to be true.The same two Midlands Air techs returned late in the day expecting me to buy a new HVAC and air-handler from them. Instead, I aligned with C. Then I read in Nextdoor forum another member in the community had been done the same way by Midlands. I never would have expected this to happen - not with the longstanding business I gave them. I don't believe this was a 'company' behavior so much as it was an 'unethical tech' by way of a new hire - but hearing more and more the big out-of-state owners are buying up the small companies and forcing sales quotas on their service crew. read more

At my age, I'm feeling like a complete and utter idiot. I can't believe I got taken. Posting this to warn other people so they don't fall for it. My daughter has a house in Columbia, SC that she purchased (as a single, working student at USC) in 2020. Her AC unit stopped working properly, and she recently started experiencing sweating walls and noticed visible mold. We contacted Midland Air Service Experts of Columbia (as my husband said they have high ratings online). Because of her limited income, we chose to help her out with the AC replacement. The salesman talked us into financing a new AC unit through their "Advantage Program", which guaranteed that any problem with the unit would be covered under the program...and there would be no charges for service calls. The unit was installed two weeks ago. A few days later we noticed the humidity was still high and asked them to return since it appeared the system was not addressing the humidity issue (it has a built-in humidifier). They checked the duct work and discovered it was the original duct from the 1950's. Previous owners added rooms to the house, and the new duct work was piece milled to the existing ducts. The newer duct was missing insulation. They blamed the duct work and missing insulation for the sweating. So, we had them remove and replace the duct work last Friday. We returned to the house this afternoon to check on the house (prior to the mold mitigation work that starts tomorrow) and found the entire bathroom and hallway ceilings dripping from condensation. The AC unit is not working properly, and it continues to cool beyond what it is set for. We had it set for 75 degrees, and it was 67 degrees and still blowing cold air. I contacted Midland Air Service Experts and requested a technician. The representative told me they would send someone between 4pm and 8pm this evening. Around 7:15pm I called to confirm someone was still coming, and I was advised that they were not sending anyone because I "still owe money on the system". Moral of the story...Beware Midland Air Service Experts and their sales tactics. We could have figured out different financing. But we went with theirs because of the Advantage Program...and it was an unexpected expense. We planned on paying it off early. If you get a system, either look elsewhere or decline their financing. I'm too old to fall for this type of crap. But they got me this time. *Update* I received a text message after I left the house, saying the technician was on his way. By the time I returned he was already gone. I called customer service and was told that the other representative should not have told me they wouldn't send anyone, and that they had received multiple similar complaints. However, she was not able to send anyone back out until Tuesday. The mold mitigation team is coming tomorrow to get rid of the mold...but thanks to these losers the AC problem still isn't repaired and they won't be able to enter the house until after the mitigation is finished later this week. I wish I had asked the people on the local Facebook page before signing a contract with this company. There are several people with similar experiences. *UPDATE #2* Someone arrived today and found two wires touching, that he said caused the system to continue running beyond the set temperature. There is now so much moisture in the ceiling and walls that the mold mitigation team cannot start and will have to dry out the walls first. Then it is going to cost more because there is more water damage due to the faulty HVAC system. The managers will not return my calls inquiring about reimbursement for the additional work to repair the damage caused by their faulty equipment. read more

We have been trying to contact this company for weeks now regarding our account, and has been passed around to customer service, loyalty program, Midland Air, back to customer service, voicemails, and lots and lots of hang ups. I purchased their Maintenance agreement a few years back and paid it automatically every month but a year ago was talked into upgrading to their Advantage program. Unfortunately they still kept taking my maintenance payment along with the Advantage payment. I have since called them 7 times to get it straightened out, each time being told "someone will call you back". Yea, they NEVER did. so now I am out for the overpays for a year, and still struggling to get them to cancel my services. I have never in my life encountered a company that refuses to cancel services after calling in multiple times for the same. This has been a nightmare. *** Update! They are now telling me that the Advantage Plan is for the UV lightbulb they are allowing me to rent and if i terminate my contract now, I owe them almost $4000. - Over Charged - Wrong diagnosis for issues with furnace - Complete Scam. I called Midland Air to come out regarding my furnace that stopped working. The tech was not HVAC Certified and gave me a list of 4 things I needed to have repaired to fix the issue - and an insane cost to do it. The sales representative with him also suggested I spend another absurd amount to replace my furnace entirely. Because I felt the diagnosis and prices were crazy, I called another company out and got it completely repaired for 1/4 of the cost Midland Air had stated. This was probably due to the fact that the repair that was needed was not even remotely similar to what had originally been recommended by this Midlabd. In addition to the incorrect information Midland Air gave me, I then became aware that the service charge I had to pay was to simply have them drive 1.5 miles to my house. I ended up paying double that charge on their initial visit since I wasn't told there would be a charge to figure out what the issue is and diagnose the problem. I was totally scammed and will never be taking any future business here, much less recommending this company to anyone in need. I am thankful I had the intuition to get a second opinion before I spent multiple paychecks on the solution they recommended that wouldn't even have solved my problem. read more

The serviceman arrived very quickly after I called. He told me that since the part was so expensive, he would forego the $99 service fee and only charge for the broken part, which was $300. I agreed. The next day, I realized that the system was still under warranty, and discovered the price for the needed replacement part was approximately $60. When I called Midlands Air, I was given some double talk and eventually received a rebate of $60. I, nor my family, friends, and neighbors will NEVER call them again. read more

I want to give a shout out to Midlands Air service! Yesterday 11/16/23 Chant and JT serviced my HVAC system. They were professional, courteous and efficient. They explained everything to me at a level that I could understand. I felt no pressure to upgrade my maintenance plan at all. By using pictures Chant took that day of burnt out UV lights with resulting mold, they demonstrated that a more vigilant maintenance plan would suit my needs better. Usually I feel pressured/taken advantage of during upsells because I am easy prey, an older woman living alone with a limited knowledge base. But with Chant and JT I felt respected and that they were advocating FOR me, not just trying to more money, which has been my usual experience. Thanks guys! The young lady who called me on 11/16 to schedule the service deserves 5 stars as well, for being pleasant and professional, a rarity. After winter maintenance was done I was told that the heat exchanger was cracked. Technician actually showed me the cracks...But then he said my exchange warranty had expired and I would need to pay for it. He suggested that I get salesman to come and go over prices since my unit was old and probably other things would start going wrong. Salesman came, I got replacement costs, then asked about cost of exchange unit to be replaced. I was quoted 2600.I told him I'd think on it. Decided later, after Blythewood Air was recommended to me, to contact them about cost of heat exchanger as mine was no longer under warranty. Blythewood Air told me after I gave them serial numbers on unit that it WAS under warranty and quoted me a considerably lower price. (Midlands salesman quote went from 2600 initially to 3100) This is when I contacted Blythewood Air. read more

JT and Zach were great this afternoon! I was worried that my ac unit had finally just stopped working last night after it ran for a lot longer than normal and took more time to cool the house down. I called first thing this morning at 9:30am and was able to have two techs come out by 2pm (2 hours before the end of the time window given) the same day. Not only did they call and let me know they were on their way, but when they got here and started working they triple checked everything and they walked me through the issues they identified (which all were non urgent). They even took the time to explain explain that nothing needed immediate attention. I was so happy with their service and with how informative they were that instead of signing up for a home warranty to deal with future AC issues, I decided to do their service plan instead. I trust that they will be honest about my units needs, not overcharge me for random things that are not needed, and will ensure I understand everything. 10/10 would recommend. If their management team reads this, they deserve a raise. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I highly recommend that anyone else with similar experiences with this company also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Midland Air has the worse customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. The biggest regret of my life was signing on with this company. This past week (last week of May 2023), our A/C has been completely nonfunctional. The inside of the house during the day has reached temperatures in excess of 90F with two toddlers in the house. Does Midland Air care? Absolutely not. Does it matter that the service technician ordered the wrong part? Of course not, Midland Air doesn't care at all. Does Midland Air care that the service tech told us the part will take several days to arrive and cannot be shipped over night and that we could NOT reach out to the distributor dispute neither of those statements being true? Nope, Midland Air does not care. Personally, I would think that since heat kills people, Midland Air would work to have the part shipped overnight. In fact, just tell the distributor to release the part to me and I'll drive to get it... but does Midland Air care? Absolutely not. If this review sounds familiar to any other Midland Air customers, I highly sugggest you do what I am doing and reach out to the news. This is by far the worse company I have ever dealt with. My parents, age 72, had their heat go out. Due to the need to get a service company out quickly, my mother contacted Midlands and they scheduled a quick visit in the same day to check out the issue. She was told that a part needed to be replaced and they could have it ordered and installed on November 24th.The cost was just over $800, which was only achievable with a Veterans discount and signing up for the yearly maintenance.Without those options the cost would be much more. My parents agreed due to the fact that at their age they needed heat and because they could get a quick turn around on fixing the problem. On the November 24th my parents received a phone call from Midlands letting them know the technician was ahead of schedule and would be there earlier than the appointment time. The afternoon went by and my parents did not receive any additional updates and a technician did not arrive early. My parents had to reach out to Midlands to inquire about when the technician would be there to complete the repair. They were told that the company the part was ordered from had closed and the technician did not pick up the part prior to them closing. Therefore my parents would now be stuck due to the technicians error until Monday, November 27th without heat. The temperatures in our area began falling and this now left my parents without heat. Nothing was offered to my parents of age 72 to help them during this time, it was late afternoon on Black Friday shopping, and no apology was made.I went to Home Depot to purchase a space heater so my parents would have heat in their home. (They refused to stay elsewhere as I offered) I contacted Midlands and nothing was offered to compensate, support, or even apologize upfront for the fact that the technician did not secure picking up the part for the scheduled maintenance before the company closed. After pushing to speak with a high level manager, which they never provided to me, they provided a small discount to the part. The technician arrived on the 27th to complete the repair. We felt relieved that my parents now had heat. Not even three days later, the heat went out again. Midlands was contacted and a different technician came out. I would first like to say that this technician was very condescending and talked down to my parents. He was not very clear about the issue that caused the heat to go out again and only said they had to order parts. A date was not provided as to when the repairs would take place, a detail of the parts needing to be replaced was never disclosed, and a price was never provided. When he left my parents thought it was covered since the heat had gone back out after only a few days of the initial repair. When I called again I was told the cost of the repairs would be $1,127.94 on top of what was already paid of close to $800 from the prior visit that did not fix the problem. This time the parts being replaced was: Control Board Level 2- Includes All 2 Stage Controls at a cost of $884.00 and aThermocouple at a cost of $243.94. At his point, we began to feel that something was not right. In my conversation with MIdlands to understand the issues I was provided assistance to finance the cost of the repairs and then they attempted to have us consider a brand new system. Also, the repairs were to be schedule at some future date (no date given) when the part could be ordered all while my 72 year old parents lived with only a space heater. I contacted another company that was referred to me by people in the HVAC industry to come take a look at the system to give us their assessment. The technician of this company came out first thing the next day. They did confirm there was an issue with the control board but what was eye opening was that the unit my parents had did not have a Thermocouple. It appeared that Midlands had charged my parents $243.94 on the invoice for a part that their system did not even have and would not even be needed. Service with Midlands was canceled. Heat has worked perfectly, and the cost was MUCH lower. read more

Thank you, we will no longer need their services . We had no issues until scheduled routine maintenance, the next time we used our air conditioner it was no longer cooling. Called Saturday morning , was told someone would be sent out, no one showed. Called corporate that night they sent two people out today. Was told Freon was out. Hmmmm. estimate $2000 to find problem, we had no problem until maintenance was performed. Of course tried to sell us another unit. read more

While the response time to get servicing done from this company is quick I will caution anyone considering getting servicing done for their equipment to be very cautious about what is actually done when they are there. I've found that they are more focused on selling you a brand new unit with a service contract than doing a quality repair on a 3 year old unit. I will not list what was identified after hiring a more reputable company to repair and fix what was done wrong but cannot give a supporting review for this company. read more

I had a unit installed by Midlands with no issues until the maintenance was done 1 year after installation. The tech they sent was finished a lot faster than the previous ones and the unit wasn't working well after he left. I called them and they sent out two 'techs' who tried to sell me a new unit so I wouldn't have to pay for repairs for a new condenser ($1400). I called Troubleshooters in Lexington. The unit needed Freon which should have been done during the maintenance. I canceled the monthly program and won't use them again. read more

I was in desperate need of A/C. They came out on time to tell me I needed new unit. Then sent sales person out to quote me price of $13,800 for new unit. They had everything lined up to have it installed. I got another company out here & they fixed intake duct work, cleaned coil & I'm good to go. This company is a complete rip off. Never checked to see why my unit wasn't working. Please be careful!!!!!!! read more

Wow, the professional technicians at Midlands Air heating and cooling will never leave you stranded without A/C if they can help it. (5/27/2020) great technician diagnosed my problem today and told me how to get the HVAC working on a temporary fix until they come on this Friday to do a full repair. I'm under an 8 year contract for my HVAC system with them so I don't pay out of pocket for any additional maintenance or repairs on the system. So far it's been great and has worked well. They're friendly professional and always on time when coming to work on the system and they call ahead with an ETA when on the way (helpful to safely secure pets and clear out any last minute items that might be in the way of the maintenance crew)... read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not only did they never show up, each time I called, they kept telling me I was next. 12 hours later, at midnight, the customer service still insisted that I was next and they would show up before the end of the day. They continuously read from a script and could not deviate from it when I asked to speak to a manager. I was lied to multiple times, and would never recommend this company to anyone. They state that customer service is their number one goal. At this rate, I'm not sure that is achievable. read more

Very weirded out. Received a text one morning that someone was coming out to check my HVAC. Well I made no calls or requests for anyone to come look at that. When I text the number back, there was no response, so I called. The rep that took the call seemed annoyed when I asked her to help me figure out who made the service call. We went through my call log and I didn't have any contact with this company, but they had my name, phone number, address, and someone on the way to check my HVAC. I still have no idea who set this appointment for me with all my personal information. I have a home warranty, so I use them for HVAC maintenance and repairs. Not to mention it's been a couple years since I've needed service on my unit. There really needs to be more protection and verification for customers and services provided. There's no one else at my residence and hasn't been for YEARS, there's no reason an appointment should have been set up without my knowledge or permission for services in my home. read more
