This company bought out my previous HVAC provider. I called to see if a duct cleaning might solve my allergy issues. Elizabeth told me that they would send out a tech to check it out and that it would be free of charge, as I had a maintenance contract with Tilford Air & Heat, the company they bought out. The technicians did a full diagnostic, which I didn't ask for. They made recommendations, then told me that I could either pay them $69 for the service call, or have it be my summer maintenance fee after I told them that Elizabeth said it would be free. So, I paid them by check. When I called the next day, after thinking I'd been had, Elizabeth conferred with the technician and her manager, I guess, and again told me that since they had done a full diagnostic, I was still responsible for the charge. I was put on hold several times, while their advert kept announcing that I could receive a full refund if I was unsatisfied with their service, no questions asked. All she did was argue with me, until I told her I was stopping payment of the check and they could apply the maintenance fee for the service instead. And I would no longer be a customer. So, they don't even honor their own promises. Stay away form them. read more

Service Experts was the 2nd company I had out to diagnose a problem. The 1st company was nothing more than a sham. Aaron was professional and quickly diagnosed a bad blower motor in the air handler. It was $950 (with 15% discount) to replace an approximately $400 motor. There was a flat rate on labor that neither the receptionist nor service manager could not break our for me. What I wanted to know was how many hours and at what rate. All they would tell me is it was a flat rate labor charge set by "corporate." That's a cop out and deflecting responsibility. When I did the math it was over $500/hour. I find that hard to believe. I was very happy with the service I received. I did not feel like I got the runaround, nor was I being up sold for services I didn't need. The technician was top notch and I appreciate his honesty. The technician showed up on time and promptly identified the issue I was having with my HVAC unit. Now the problem/scam starts! I have a 10 warranty that covers parts and labor. Technician told me that the part isn't cover due to the leak was caused by rust/corrosion and wrote a work order to fix the unit for ~$1600. That didn't sound right to me. I called the area service manager for York and he stated that the part is covered. Also, this company isn't a certified service company for York HVAC. Previous years, they were certified. The manager for this location was very rude while trying to resolve the situation. Will never do business with this company EVER again!!! read more

Very nice people but the Tech they sent out didn't have a clue how to fix my airconditioner. After spending 2 hours having the tech walk him through the process, he claimed it was fixed. The following day I had call back to have them come back out again and now I've got to wait an extra day to get someome out - ridiculous. Well I'd have to say that today (two days later) a new guy came out with a great attitude and fixed the problem in the rain! On top of that, I didn't get charged extra either. read more

Hands Down Service Experts are the best service company I have ever dealt with. I called at 4:40 on a Thursday afternoon because my AC was not cooling properly. The service tech was at my house between 5:15 and 5:30 that evening. They assessed my situation and laid out my options. We ended up replacing the unit, it was 18 years old. The new unit is amazing it is whisper quiet, and keeps my house nice and cool. If I could give zero stars, I would. We called for a tune up visit on our a/c. Two men showed up; one a tech and the other a salesman. It was obvious from the start they were trying to sell me new units. Both men were very condescending towards me and actually asked if I wanted them to call my husband to explain things. They were rude and lied. I was told there was a law that they couldn't replace one part or clean it and said that both the inside and outside had to be replaced. I checked, this is not a law. The unit is from 2013 and did not need to be replaced. I asked if he could clean the blower or replace it instead of buying a whole unit and although it could be done they refused. They tried to sell me a a new capacitor and said it wasn't good but as I learned after, if it wasn't working the unit wouldn't run, which is does. After I asked the salesman repeatedly how much new units would cost he wouldn't give me a straight answer but kept trying to sell me a payment plan and then a service plan after that. We have had another company out and they confirmed the lies I was told and were in fact able to clean and tune up the system. I would never use this company or recommend them. read more

This company is a scam and nothing but a sales pitch to sell you a new system that you don't need! My husband called them first thing in the morning because our air went out the evening before. They said they were booked, but promised to get someone out. They didn't show up until almost 7pm. However, three people showed up so we were hopeful that they at least came prepared to fix our system. NOPE! One of them was a salesman who claimed the part that was bad would have to be ordered and would take days to come in. He also stated that the repair cost would be $1200. He asked if we had warranty information on the part and when we told him we bought our house with the system he acted as if it couldn't be warrantied. THEN, he goes on to tell us how our unit is not good and fixing it isn't even the best idea because other parts are just waiting to break... Our system is 4 YEARS OLD! He then goes into the whole sales pitch to sell us a new overpriced unit. Our options were wait days and pay $1200 or pay nothing and start making monthly payments to have a new system the next day. We almost fell for it, but decided to get a second opinion. THANK GOD! Come to find out, the part was warrantied and in stock! The part was FREE and installed the next morning. These people have no heart. They just want to scam people when they are vulnerable. No AC and 5 kids is hard; especially because I have MS and heat causes my symptoms to flare up. terrible service. original tech kept putting off the same service because he didn't want to do it, then tried to say he couldn't do it because our new AC system was damaged beyond repair. he wanted to charge us thousands for a new unit rather than clean the existing one. After getting their 'veteran' out, he had the problem fixed in less than 30 minutes and even said no charge because of the issues. we even signed up for the annual service, but could not use it because they kept no call no showing to their own 4 hr window appointments. I had to call to check in/reschedule 3 times, and finally got fed up and asked to work with a supervisor. Courtney assured me a supervisor would call me back, and 6 days later I called in again and spoke to Latoya, who was incredibly rude. Tech said I needed to replace AC coil on Carrier AC unitl. Estimated $750 labor. Seemed high so I called another Carrier authorized dealer to check and get another estimate . Second Carrier dealer said unit working fine and no repair required. This suggests that Service Experts attempted to cheat me and Carrier by making unnecessary warranty repair where I had to pay $70 labor. Their service reps are probably on commission. You should get a second opinion if they recommend expensive repairs. read more

Tonight, you all had the opportunity to make repeat customers. You blew that big time! Our air conditioner went out today and we called to have someone come out. We were told by the technician on call that he would be out after he finished the job he was working on. A couple hours later he tells us we have two calls ahead of us! This is ridiculous! We have a two year old here who is drenched in sweat! My husband said the way he made it sound was that he may not even be able to get to us at all. Your employee at the call center told us it may be because there was a call that came through closer or that it was because a customer you have an agreement with called. He was very kind and made it his priority to resolve all of the concerns I had expressed online, and wanted to hear the full story on the phone. He took the time to listen to me, and wanted to understand exactly what led me to write the things I did, and without trying to intimidate me or make me feel bad, asked what he could do to make things right. We have settled on a path forward that will satisfy everyone, and he has assured me that the woman in his employ that threatened me with criminal action will never do that to another customer again. read more

Worst company ever!! Was persuaded and honestly believed in what they stood for, worry-free comfort. Enrolled in their advantage program, Big Mistake. I never write reviews, but my negative experience must be shared with others to prevent them from making the same mistake. This company is far from "experts." The management team is rude and condescending. When I first decided to sign up, they promised nothing but quality services. Since I installed the new ac system, they have failed to meet their standards. I cannot count the number of times they came out to my house to try to fix what should have been resolved two months ago. It has been a two-month nightmare of different technicians coming to my house and adding more things to the AC in my garage for the zoning system to work. To make matters worse, each technician that would come out would tell me the installation was done incorrectly, and the prior technician that came out should be fired because they did a poor job. Not promising to say the least. It is clear to me now that setting up zones is a task they are not ready to take on. I am now convinced that they do not have qualified technicians that are knowledgeable about zoning systems. Their lack of communication internally is mind-blowing. I was promised to get my first month refunded by a manager, and now, no one seems to know about it. The false promises and lack of communications adds on to the poor services that this company offers. I was told a specialist would come to my house over the weekend to check my AC since it has been an issue after another and they send me a technician instead. Furthermore, I found myself having to regularly follow-up with them instead of them following-up with me. I have never heard of a company that does not follow up when a new system is installed and worse of all, knowing that I am an unhappy customer for the last two months. Having to remind their technicians of issues that the prior technicians were unable to resolve is unprofessional. I should not have to remind them of what the preceding technician broke or what the prior technician said was the issue. I have taken time off more than necessary in two months to get my ac to work correctly. Like I expressed to them, I am not asking for much; all I ask is to get what I am paying for: quality services, working AC, and working zoning systems. Being passed on to different managers is unprofessional and irritating. Having to explain two months' worth of aggravation is a waste of my time and only reminds me of the mistake I made when I signed up for their long-term services. In my honest opinion, they have rolled out a program (Advantage Program) they are not qualified nor prepared for. I am a heartbeat away from suing them. I am beyond empty apologies. Apologies was acceptable the first week or two of issues. Two months, I should be receiving more than just empty apologies. They sent a confirmation email for an appointment and after 2 hours of waiting beyond the time frame and 3 phone calls later they told me there was a scheduling conflict and the time frame stated was never available. Totally ruined my night, as the schedule was 6-8 and I wasn't informed of this until 10 pm. Furthermore, I didn't actually schedule this time frame in the first place, but kept it because our ac needs to be fixed. read more

It all depends on who's coming out. Every time is a different technician and they all do different things. Sometimes very thorough sometimes they do just a few things. I would think they would have a simple checklist so that every technician does the same thing for every service call. I don't have a high degree of confidence that a small problem will be caught before it gets too big. read more

This the third time in a year that we have had to call these people out for a frozen up A-coil and low phreon (?sp). Total Rip off. Just today I was told that I needed a new fan for the outside unit or perhaps a capacitor. I could sense that they were not doing their due diligence and said I will pay for the service call just to have them go away. They tried to charge me more for the service call than what I was told. Called Able Air and turns out there is nothing wrong with the fan or the capacitor. Thank God I followed my instincts. I can't believe that with everything that is happening right now, this company wants to take your money and take advantage of people. Stay as far away from this company as you can. We have a 10 yr old unit that works fine, we have called Del Air for the yearly maintenance, but since it just went out of warranty we found this company to have cheaper $69 maintenance. It turned out to be a sales pitch, and the day after the "maintenance" our compressor stopped working. I have a mini-split system and I felt that the inside coil unit needed to be cleaned but taking it apart to do that was somewhat complicated (to me anyway) and I didn't want to break the plastic by forcing anything so I called Service Experts and Mike came out and showed me how to do it. Most companies are reluctant to show the homeowner how to do things themselves so I really appreciate Mike being so easy going about showing me how to dissemble and clean the unit. I cleaned it really well but when putting it back together I accidentally pinched a wire and the unit wouldn't work! Oh no! I called again and Mike came out and quickly found the problem. After waiting for hours, tech finally showed up. Part needed was a start capacitor. He was charging $184.00 for this cap plus $99.00 to show up from Cocoa to Rockledge. Plus labor to install. Cost of over $350.00 . We purchased the same capacitor 2 years ago for $49.00. This company is a huge rip off . Beware of the upsell and bad service! I gave in to their incessant sales calls for a $60 "maintenance" and let them in to my home. I have 2 units. They said the first one was a piece of garbage, even though they installed it, and suggested a $1750 upgrade to a SECOND UV light. They suggested the same for the other unit, a 6 year old Rheem. Then, after the guy left the second unit stopped working!! I called the company. First guy claimed it was fine. It was not. Second guy said I needed a new control panel, maybe, and suggested a new unit!! I called another company and it was a loose wire! Unbelievable!! it was a $65 fix. Also, the new company could not find any sign they cleaned the coil or did any "maintenance." They give commissions to the repair guys who upsell. BEWARE OF PRICE GOUGING. My brother had Service Experts perform an annual inspection/servicing. His unit was working fine but they told him the outside unit was leaking and that a little oily feel to the air handlers drip pan meant that unit might soon fail. They then quoted him $11,200 to replace the 4-5 ton unit. I own a lot of commercial properties with a total of 35 AC units, so I know what it cost to replace such a unit but got another quote for the same unit from East Coast Air, a VERY HONEST COMPANY.
