As a new homeowner, I did not know what to expect when it came to maintaining a central air/heating system. A neighbor recommended that I use Service Stars and I'm glad I did! I called their office and spoke to Marissa, who was very helpful and accommodating. She did a great job of explaining the services, costs, etc. and was always friendly! When we had our AC system serviced for routine maintenance, the field technician was great. He was a pleasure to work with and was very clean/neat in our home. I asked a ton of questions (as this is my first home with a central unit) and he was very patient and explained everything. We recently ran into a problem that required us to do a full replacement of our AC/furnace system as well as the outdoor fan. (Nothing that could have been predicted/prevented though- our system is older and had only a few years left on it anyway!) Service Stars could have not made this procedure any easier for us. We are part of their Service Club, so we were able to get an appointment and a resolution very quickly. The technicians that came out to do the evaluations as well as the replacement were equally as fantastic. They were very friendly, neat, and explained everything along the way. I woke up this morning to no hot water and my Water Cop device beeping letting me know that my water heater was leaking. I called a neighbor and she recommended Service Stars. Fortunately, they are located not far from where I live. I called and spoke with Marissa who was able to quickly let me know that they could have someone out in the afternoon and they could replace my water heater that day! Darryl came out took a look at what was going on and explained and showed me where the leak was and that it was in the tank and the tank had to be replaced. He ordered the tank and Darryl was joined by Billy. They had to change out some pipes because the new heater was taller than the old one. It was commercial grade which made me very happy because living on the second floor, I would hate to flood out my downstairs neighbor!!! The guys worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Very professional work. They even wore booties not to mess up the floor. Everything is reconnected and working and soon I will be taking a nice, hot shower. Thank you so much for a job well done! I found Service Stars online due to the terrific reviews and I am happy to say I am part of that now too. I've never seen any employee with that much respect for me and my home before. And this is not just one particular person, it's the whole team, they were all the same- spectacular! They made me feel very comfortable with everything and applied no pressure at all every time they came over. They do give you their professional opinion but ultimately of course, it's up to the owners but I appreciate that they did it without scaring and overwhelming me. Very kind and understandable team, they will work with you on payment plans to make sure you're able to do what's best for the house as well as your own financial situation. This was my first time using Service Stars and I did not know what to expect. In fact, I received their contact information from a family friend who strongly recommended them. Although, they were recommended, I was very concerned about how they were going to make sure that the job was done without putting me and my family's life in danger during this pandemic. Well, Jack showed up at 2pm and we were expecting him between 2pm and 4pm. Not only was he polite but he was wearing a mask. He then put on his gloves and booties over his shoes before entering my home...ok!!! Thank you Jesus...so far so good! Jack worked on our Central AC unit for quite a while. I had no complaints because this showed me that he was meticulous and efficient. These actions made me feel even better about Service Stars and where my money was going. We had our ductless AC serviced for the first time by Jack. He arrived on time and was professional, respectful and friendly. He donned his gear and explained in detail exactly the steps he would take after asking us some general questions. We had mentioned some questions about electricity spikes. No one had ever told us we needed to clean the filters during the installation. Jack took our filters out to the hose and cleaned one to show us the difference. Embarrassing for us, but a simple solution to increase the power of the machine! Jack was neat and disposed of dust, etc. completing his visit with a review of the ac and an explanation of the paperwork he gave us. Had a wonderful experience with Billy who is an air conditioning technician today after temperatures soared into the 90's and my AC unit would not cool my house down. He arrived on time and was very courteous and professional upon our first interaction. Billy quickly got to work and checked out the entire system from my basement all the way to the compressor at the side of my home. He found that the refrigerant was low and needed to be recharged and he did that in a very timely manner. My house began to cool off almost immediately but he stuck around for a while longer to ensure that the system was operating at maximum efficiency. He is well versed in AC systems and explained everything to me very thoroughly and in a manner I could easily understand. I called Service Stars after moving in to a new home and the AC stopped working on the 1st day of summer! I called several places and got repair person's cell phones or voicemails. Very few places had an actual person that answered. Service Stars has an office with people who know the answers to questions you might have and they are quick to solve your issue and timing requests. The tech was prompt and came when they said they would. They put on shoe covers when they came in the house. Were polite and easy to talk to. Service Stars came to my home for a plumbing inspection which is included in the club memerbship. Derrick, the technician, was friendly, helpful, and informative. He pointed out areas to watch but was very clear that what he was noticing didn't need immediate attention. He even tightened a leaky outside faucet that I thought might need replacement. It was refreshing to have a technician come in for a complimentary inspection and not try to sell me additional services or maintenance updates. Excellent company! Highly recommend. Real customer service. I've used this company for several service calls with both electrical and plumbing repairs over the last year. They are polite, clean, and they do excellent work. They are now my go to company. More recently we had an issue with our central a/c's electrical connection (installed by a different company) ... during the 7/20/19 heat wave. We have a service contract with Service stars. The appointment window for our plumbing inspection was between 8:00 and 10:00. Eric was at our doorstep at 9:00 am. He got right to it and completed the plumbing inspection of our house. Jack and Simon came to our home a couple of weeks ago. Our ductless system had a long span of exposed lines leading to the heating/cooling outdoor unit. We are planning to have the house painted this summer and wanted the lines to be covered (like the others around the house). Jack and Simon did a great job putting the covers on. It looks great! Service Stars has been out to my home twice and both times provided exceptional service in every way. Before entering a home they put on protective booties to keep floors clean. I was very pleased with this company. I had to renovate the space entirely (beauty salon) and only had a slight vision of what it should look like. The owner Jeremy came to look at the job and gave suggestions that I agreed with and it turned out beautiful.
