WOW!! Let me set the stage for you. We lost our 20 year old central air system because the compressor seized up. Our neighbor uses Murphy Heating and cooling out of New Milford and we reached out to them. The time of year was a complete killer - August, with very high humidity. The wood floors and the railings felt like they were sticky, and water condensation on the pipes - all around miserable. Jimmy the service manager came out over the weekend and pronounced our compressor dead and had Ryan provide a quote. It took us about a week to settle on a system that was available due to the supply chain disruption from COVID (and find the piggy bank)! Given that our system was dead and the horrible weather, Ryan and Christine helped us out immensely by enabling a Sunday install. From the time we signed the contract (Thursday) to install (Sunday) was three days. Here is the kicker though and why I think they are a phenomenal operation - By Thursday evening a hurricane warning was issued for our area with landfall predicted for 2pm on Sunday, the day of the install. We groaned and assumed that the installation process would be postponed. We did not hear back though about postponing the install and assumed that it was still a go. At 6:15 AM on Sunday John and Johnny, the installers, showed up as promised, and at the exact time we agreed to! Incredible!! They worked for some 5.5 hours on Sunday and we were up and running with a new Trane/ American Standard 16 SEER unit. They cleaned up behind them, and the new system brought down the humidity and temperature in the house - YAY! I am writing this review on Monday morning because of the very positive interaction and alacrity with which Ryan Murphy was able to help us out. Obviously, the system has a year long warranty and if any issues come up, I am very confident Murphy heating will back up their install. On a side note, as I was talking to the installers they spoke very highly of Ryan and described him as an incredible boss. It is rare in this day and age to get service of this caliber and I for one am grateful and thought the least I could do is share our experience with all of you! read more

Ryan's team arrived on time and were fully prepared for the day's work replacing our entire central AC unit. As a homeowner and tech guy myself, i'm always hanging around the contractors to ask questions and learn a bit. Ryan's team was polite and accomidating to my presense and I actually had a good time. Their work was clean and organized. I needed a new filter for the hallway intake and the size was an odd one, not the typical standard dimensions. Before the day was up, another assosciate of Ryan's showed up at the house to deliver the odd sized filter. When you hire someone new, you get a quick sense of the values a particular company adheres to, the quality and care of their work, and how they get along with each other. Ryan's team works well together and you can tell they enjoy their work. If your looking for advice on who to hire, I can tell you that I will be using Ryan's company in the future. read more

AC central system was replaced in my home yesterday. in the middle of this heat wave, I had a quote for new equipment on the same day that I contacted the office. I accepted the thorough and complete proposal that same day, and was offered and install date of the following Saturday! that date was no good with me, and I was offered the following Saturday (yesterday) which I gladly accepted. John, Donald and Ashton arrived on time and proceeded to do an incredibly neat, clean, and efficient AC replacement. Everything was up and running in a timely fashion, everything was left cleaner than they found it! The new system was thoroughly explained to me and was cooling my house immediately. One of the best decisions I ever made was picking Ryan Murphy Heating and Cooling to put a central AC system in my home. Jonny, Mike and the guys were great. Showed up every morning promptly, Pleasant, friendly, professional and clean. I came home everyday to a clean house after they spent the whole time in a hot attic and cutting holes in my ceiling. In October 2021I had a tech from Ryan F. Murphy clean and tune up my 15 year old oil burner. The Tech did such a good job that I decided to purchase a annual maintenance contract. That was the best decision I have made in years! I have since had problems due in part to the age of the system. Murphy techs diagnosed and repaired each problem using top self parts. No half way measures were taken and they did not just throw parts at a problem but actually diagnosed it. I will definitely renew my maintenance contract when it comes due this fall. read more

My oil fired boiler died. I called Ryan Murphy that morning, by 1:00pm he gave me a quote, I approved it at 3:00pm. His team showed up at 6:00pm while Ryan drove 3 hours round trip to pick up the new boiler. Ryan arrived at 6:30pm with the boiler. Had my over 25 year old Central AC replaced by Murphy!... Original installation was about 4K, 30 years later, only 6K... not bad at all... Great service, great price, FANTASTIC STAFF.... did the job perfectly, the new update is like day/night...LOL, should hope so after 25 years!!! This company is great, in my opinion....
