Unfortunately, they missed some mold, and I had to call them back to cut out more drywall. This was a big disappointment. I don't understand how it was missed. The missed mold was right up to the edge of the drywall, meaning the drywall they cut out would also have mold right up to the edge, and they are supposed to remove one foot past where the mold ends. I found it when I was putting insulation back in, and I could have easily missed it myself which could have led to the mold continuing to grow and having another big problem later.  Also, I was given a work authorization to sign, but with no written breakdown of what the work would actually entail: which parts of the house, the process to remove the mold, etc. I had to request this. All other mold mitigation companies I contacted gave me a quote with a very detailed written breakdown of the work to be performed. If you go with them, make sure you ask for the details of the work to be performed in writing and don't settle for just a verbal explanation of what they will do.

Then showed up 10 days later to grab their equipment and left. Charged my insurance company over $6,000 and once they got their money, I never heard from them again. For 3 months I left numerous voicemails which were never returned. I was initially told that they would be in touch with some proposals to replace the drywall, flooring, paint, etc. but never heard a single thing. So I was just left to scramble on my own and I am still attempting to find someone to finish putting my basement all back together and it has literally been over 4 months now. Live and learn I guess. I would have been better off renting a commercial shop vac and dehumidifiers and done it all myself and saved myself from being dropped by my insurance company. So very disappointing.

My basement was not nearly as bad as other people's, and I wanted help cleaning and with mold. They got back to me within a couple of days while I was on other companies' waitlists. They could have come out the same evening, but I had them wait until the next day which was more convenient. They came out, provided an estimate. I had questions, and I was able to say what I wanted done (eg. I didn't want the air purification for $1000 since my HVAC system has an air purification system in it that takes care of mold spores or the wall paint to protect from mold for $200 since I am already on a list to have my basement waterproofed in a month, and the walls are going to be dealt with). They were amenable to the changes. They were able to schedule me for the next day and do the work. They provided me with updates of the project. They took out more drywall than anticipated, but that's fine. I'll refinish the basement later. Garrett and Justin were both helpful. I recommend them. They listened, they were prompt, and I feel after talking with others in similar situations, the price was fair. They also did not demand insurance. I paid upfront.

Our master bedroom and closet, laundry room, mud room, living room, basement stairs, and about 1/3 of our basement was covered in water. ServiceMaster Restore came out the next morning to start the clean-up process. They removed the carpet, the damaged rugs for cleaning, baseboards, and a portion of the vinyl flooring in the mudroom. They set up their drying machines and would come back and check them every few days. Well - after only removing half the flooring, it took TEN days for the subfloor to dry. After we took off work and were no-showed twice (and a hotel stay since it was unbearably hot with the machines running nonstop and half the house sectioned off) they finally removed more flooring on the ninth day and removed the machines on the tenth day. When they finally showed up to remove the machines, I had to run fans to get the smell of weed out of my house... it was SO strong from the workers who were in and out. A month went by and we heard nothing. Apparently the project manager had left and our project was handed over. We met the new manager and did a walk-through... half the items needed to be done were "forgotten" so we had to start from the beginning in getting him up to speed. He encouraged us to utilize a moving pod to hold our furniture in our driveway so the restoration to be completed. We agreed, and appreciated that suggestion. Well, now we are at the two month mark... half my house is still missing flooring. We are still walking on splintering sub-floor and stepping over multiple spike strips, with a crawling toddler and little kids. Last week they finally called back and asked if the painters could come "tomorrow" at 7am. YES! - but no pod was delivered. What we thought would be a one-day paint job was actually scheduled for four days (news to us - we found this out when the painters said they were coming back at 7am tomorrow)... More time off work for Brandon and I... We were waking up at 5am each morning to move around furniture so the walls would be accessible. Our bedroom furniture was too heavy for us to move by ourselves, which we were told we would not have to do... so the wall behind our bed? Not painted. Our closet? Not painted. But alas, we were making progress, and a few walls not painted is not a huge deal. Until I went to grab groceries from the garage freezer days after the painting was completed... the workers unplugged the fridge/freezer and never notified us or plugged it back in. Everything is bad and needs to be thrown out. More money gone. My rugs they took before the Fourth of July? Five different phone calls to try and FIND them (apparently it was a different branch that took them) and ASK for them back. I was told they have been done for weeks and can be brought back tomorrow, they "don't know" why we were never notified. Well, it is now "tomorrow" and we have been no-showed again after taking the morning off work to be home. I called and I was told they sent the guy to another job, instead, and they would not be delivered today.... We are FINALLY on the calendar to get our flooring installed on Friday the 13th (fitting, right?) but they will not move our furniture back into our house until some time the following week, since this is a Friday and they will not do it on the weekend. Back to planning accommodations for three kids, three dogs, and two cats... I have never experienced such carelessness from a company designed for disaster relief. One sink overflowing has cost us our entire summer, weeks of work, cancelled vacations. Worst of all, it has been over two months of making-do with unsafe living conditions with small children and animals. This has been so exhausting and defeating - and ServiceMaster Restore has refused to do anything to make these matters right.

We had a dishwasher leak at the end of October 2025 which damaged the floor around the dishwasher…read moreand the basement ceiling located below the dishwasher. After the plumber stopped the leak, we engaged Revive Restoration for mitigation and restoration. The mitigation crew came over almost immediately to my house even though it was a Saturday and started the remediation right away. They came back on Monday and by end of the week had completed the mitigation work of removing the damaged floor and parts of the basement ceiling, and thoroughly drying out the damaged areas and checking for mold. Revive gained my trust because of the work they had done so far. I therefore didn't hesitate to sign the contract with Revive to perform the restoration work which involved fixing the basement ceiling and replacing the flooring damaged by the dishwasher leak. That is when the problems with Revive started. Whatever trust Revive had built with me by their mitigation team was completely shattered by their restoration team. The difference in my experience with these two teams was night and day and it was hard to believe that it was the same company. The mitigation was done by early November but the restoration didn't start until the end of December adding almost two months of delay. While the ceiling repairs were made to my satisfaction, Revive completely dropped the ball when it came to the flooring repairs which didn't start until mid January. Since it was a restoration, the replacement flooring should match the existing flooring as closely as possible. I had to ask what flooring they had selected as the replacement since there was no communication from their end about it. I was not provided any samples for the flooring but instead given a link to the flooring website. The online photos for the replacement flooring looked similar to my existing flooring and since Revive's flooring subcontractor had chosen the flooring after looking at the existing flooring in my house, I trusted their choice and went ahead with that flooring. It became apparent after the first day of the installation that the flooring option recommended by Revive was wrong and didn't match the rest of the flooring at all even though it seemed to match on the website. I immediately emailed Revive about the issue and their/their subcontractor's response was that they will buff and polish and tint the new flooring to match it with the existing flooring. So they performed the rest of the installation but later said they are unable to match the new flooring with the existing flooring. I was now stuck with a totally mismatched floor. This wasn't the worst part. A couple weeks after installation, the brand new flooring started developing splinters on its own at random spots and injured my family members causing bloody fingers and painful injuries. Everyone was afraid to walk on the floor and had to wear shoes to avoid getting injured. I immediately brought this to Revive's attention. I got the flooring inspected by an independent flooring inspector and the inspection concluded that the splintering was due to poor installation. After a long back and forth, Revive provided two options. The first one was to accept the flooring as is, which is laughable, and extremely callous on Revive's part, given the injuries that it caused to my family. The second option was to have the original subcontractor redo the flooring despite such poor quality work. What is the guarantee that the same subcontractor won't cause the same flooring installation problems again? Overall this has been the worst home repair project by far. The project manager came onsite just once and quit in the middle of the project without any notification. Communication was poor and I waited for several weeks before hearing anything from Revive. Finally, they left the project in a unfinished state by not putting back the baseboards around the kitchen cabinets and left the dishwasher in a disconnected state leaving behind open holes in place of the baseboards and a disconnected air vent register. I now have to get this whole mess fixed by another company. I would strongly encourage not to have Revive perform any restoration work in your house given the poor project management, poor quality of work, and refusal to make it right by the customer.

Awful on all counts. Zero stars if possible, I was warned not to use them but I forgot. Read this…read morewhole review if you want details. I don't comment often but they deserve it. They steam clean around 1200 sq/ft a couple weeks ago. Took about 1 hour. I'm surprised when it doesn't have much effect. Major stains in a living room are not removed, but Oh well. Many told me with my close nit fiber, all these stains should come out, sounded good, but didn't happen. The rest of the house has decent looking carpet but even the light stains didn't remove. My wife and I were mainly disappointed even the light stains didn't remove or lighten from the rest of the house. I wasn't mad, just disappointed. At that point it wasn't worth commenting, So whats the big issue? Days later as we are working in the entire house either bare foot or in socks because we (thought) our carpets were clean, We find our feet and socks turning black, What? I look up how this can happen. If steam cleaners use too much water or go too quick, they wont suck the water/dirt out and it will sit there and this effect will happen. I call Stanley Steemer up and ask why our socks are turning black on freshly cleaned carpets. "Oh, we don't use anything or put any chemicals into the carpets that will do that" NO, it's how you do your work not what you put into the carpets. So they say they will do it again. I was hoping for a different tech, because the previous either didn't know how or was in a hurry. The same tech shows up over two weeks later. Looks at it and says the reason our socks are turning black is our carpets are STILL Wet. WHAT? He explains, when you Steam clean, on older carpet (upstairs) the water will go through, soak the plywood underneath and keep the floors wet for over 3 weeks. "Your telling me they are still wet? Yes" When he steam cleans down stairs where there is carpets on concrete floors it will go through and soak Concrete holding the water for over 3 weeks as well. So the moisture is pushing the dirt through as we walk turning our socks black. Such BS. This feels dry to me, Then he says your feet are turning black because your walking were there is a lot of foot traffic. NO, I'm working in rooms that don't have any traffic but obviously junk left in the carpet. He tells me if he cleans it again it will only get worse. Get Worse? I said, so it would have been better if I never had you do it, Yes he says. Because stains didn't fade and feet weren't turning black before he showed up. I said, Time is money, how about just give me a refund, you have already spent 20 min talking and if it's only going to make it worse, why would I want you to do it. Now it gets worse. He talks to his boss and she says No refund. He is there to take care of the problem. If it goes bad they will have a Manager stop out. I call and talk to Missy his boss and she is 1. rude 2. refuses to send someone other than him out 3. Totally different story about carpets than he does 4. Says if it goes bad, they will go through insurance for me IF they find this to be their fault. Of course it's their fault. I had stained carpets but nothing was turning our socks black before they showed up. I said just send your branch manager out so he can check this. Your tech says I don't even have Padding under my carpet and that is why he can't clean it well. What? I told him, I just had a carpet repair guy out who said the padding was good enough that he might be able to reuse the padding if we toss the carpet. I pull up a corner of the carpet since I had a vent cover off and said, Look at his Padding. Missy tells him to clean it so we move forward with this worthless service. When he was done he said "I told you it wouldn't do anything, it had zero effect" I timed him this time. He cleaned 1200 sq/ft in 15 minutes. Really? When he was putting his stuff away, I asked, "Why did it take you an hour the first time and 15 minutes this time. He said, this time I put less water in the carpets so they wouldn't be soaked as long. Well if you don't put water in, how are you going to clean them. If you don't take your time, how are you going to pull the water out. Missy contradicted everything this tech said Then told me he needed training. If your tech needs training, don't send him out without supervision. Don't have him goofing up my carpets then make me pay for it. Stanley Steamer has got to be the worst carpet cleaner I've ever encountered. I told Missy, "you do realize reviews have an effect, just give me a refund and we'll sweep this behind us" She didn't care if I gave a TRUE review on their Awful service.
