This location allows me to renew Health Card, Driver Licences, Vehicle Registrations.. I still remembered that time that I have to go to a Ministry of Health office in order to renew my Health Card!! To my surprise, the line was moving really fast!! The staffs at the counters are so efficient in handling all the transactions and I had everything done in 15 minute or so!!

I had a very frustrating and unprofessional experience at this branch while trying to apply for a…read morehealth card. I presented valid documentation showing my legal status in Canada (a PGWP application that allows me to work and remain in Canada while waiting for the actual permit), which is accepted by IRCC, my employer, and other ServiceOntario locations (as I later confirmed). But it was not good enough for the staff here. The employee "assisting" me insisted that I had to go to a different "headquarters" location in order for my documents to be valid for this application. Their manner was unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive, especially considering I was simply trying to access a health card. I went to a different ServiceOntario location the same day (not the 'headquarters' one). Staff reviewed the exact same documents and processed my OHIP application without any issues or questioning. After reading other reviews (on Google, not here), it appears that misinformation is REPEATEDLY being given at this location. This causes people to lose time, money, and access to essential services due to staff not being properly trained about their services and basic human decency. I would strongly suggest avoiding this branch and going to another ServiceOntario location where staff are knowledgeable and actually willing to help.

Operator 8 should not be working in customer service at all…read more Yesterday morning (January 2nd, 2025), between the times of 11:50am and 12:30pm my 10 year old daughter and I arrived at this office. We patiently waited as we were number 31 and arrived when the cue was at number 8. Things were moving along well and there seemed to be an upbeat and swift flow amongst the many staff working. Looked like a good rapport within the staff and the manager. As soon as 31 was called, we stood up immediately and then the number switched to 32 just as we stood up. We were confused. We walked towards two operators beside eachother saying we were 31 to be met with Operator 8 rudely communicating with an angry tone at my child and I saying, "I called 31!". We froze and were confused. I replied "I didn't hear anyone call 31, but we're 31." She proceeded to reply in anger and annoyance "Ok, but I called 31!". Wow. We stepped to her desk, my daughter kindly said to her she would like to renew her health card. This women looked annoyed at my child, ignored her, looked at me with further annoyance, then pointed her finger at me and my child and said, "I will not be speaking to her, I will be speaking to you as you're the parent." She then cut me off before I could talk and further chastised me that my daughter's card expired over a year ago. I told her one of my main reason ( not all as I could barely get a word in) as the offices hours conflict with mine, and I'm off this week. Her angry tone escalated from there as though I was a bad parent for waiting this long to renew. I have valid reasons I shouldn't have had to justify to this terribly rude women. At this point I put my hands up and asked why she was being so rude to us. She then raised her voice even more from the heightened volume it already was, drawing attention from the entire office of staff and customers waiting, to then accuse me of having been aggressive to her when I initially stepped to her desk. The manager stepped in, acted consolingly to this operator, not analyzing the entirety of the situation deeming me the problem. She took over and clearly saw I wasn't rude or aggressive at all. She swiftly got our transaction going, however, Operator 8 then stepped back, leaned against a filing cabinet and just stared right at me constantly with a hateful expression. I looked up at her perplexed and asked why she was staring at me this way? She rolled her eyes and the manager assisting us told her to go have her lunch. I asked this manager how someone like that gets a job at a place like this? Her response: "She's actually my best employee." How? From what I observed yesterday, if that's so, that's concerning my tax dollars are hiring people like this. I proceeded to say, we did absolutely nothing, this manager rebutted back "Well, we have cameras and I'll see from there" as though it was a threat towards our behaviour. We were not rude or aggressive at all, but on the defensive immediately upon arriving to her desk due to what we were met with. We are Canadian Citizens, born and raised in this country. I have been working and paying taxes for 32 years, with zero criminal charges, and just a plain old kind and respectful human being with basic human rights. Yesterday my child and I were treated as though we were trash and unlawful citizens. No one needs to be treated like this. I've been in customer service for 3 decades. I understand stressful environments. But the analytical observation and just plain consideration, decency and respect were at its lowest yesterday with this employee. With an end result of increased anxiety and negativity for all involved. My 10 year old stated as we left, "That lady was so mean and we didn't even do anything!" Thank you to this service for making my child and I at the start of our day and year feel like felons, when we're actually quite the opposite simply because an employee has no respectful customer service skills and defaults at her own trauma projections at innocent people.

Very tiny Service Ontario which is ACTUALLY part of the mall.. very interesting, I've never personally seen that before but it's convenient for sure. Lots of signs in this Service Ontario more than any I've ever seen before. Staff are very friendly and nice. There'll willing and able to answer questions. No contactless payment over $100, and there's a tiny desk for car dealers. Overall, not extremely busy but it can get pretty bad. Took me about 40 minutes but by the time I got in line, there were 25 people behind me within 2 minutes. The trick is to go early in the morning. They also advertise for a fee and it seems like this Service Ontario sells anything and everything they can. They also sell keychains, license plate screws, almost anything you need for their business. Remember that Service Ontario's are actually franchised, owned and operated by a non-government company on behalf of the province... so... I'm not sure if this is allowed but it can be argued as neat or on the other hand, too much. 3/5

This is and was probably the biggest blue chip business that could be acquired at the time besides a Tim Horton's. Think about this for a second. Everybody that has a drivers's license has to renew it or buy their plate stickers and now they have to also get their photo health cards when we went with the new cards. This business is going to have an ongoing clientele just like funeral homes because everybody needs them. While this office in Cloverdale has been here for as long as I can remember, they used to also have an automated kiosk at the other end of the mall by the Hot Oven which I used to get my plate stickers from and it only charged an extra dollar to not have to get into those long lines at the office. Unfortunately the province ended up getting rid of those machines because apparently some of them were hacked. Well that sucks. The last few years I was just getting my stickers through the mail. I couldn't do that this time around because I needed a new drivers license and photo. The one good thing is that they coordinate the expiration of the driver's licenses to be the same as the health card so when you have to go in every 5 years or whatever it is, you can do both at the same time. This particular Service Ontario office is located near the north section of Cloverdale mall and has an external entrance that faces the sound barrier of the northbound 427 opposite the East Mall side of the mall. I arrived around 11:45 which worked out because I was in line for about 20 minutes and the line behind me just after 12 noon was almost out to the mall plaza. The person who helped me looked like they sounded, like they do this all the time and they know it inside out but she was pleasant while efficient. This is one of those places you have to go to like the passport office but while it can be unpleasant, this experience wasn't so bad. The entire process was mostly spent in line and while at the counter it only really took about 5 minutes to get both pieces of ID processed including the new photo.

I've come to this location for at least 15 years. I've renewed driver's licenses, health cards,…read morevehicle permits, etc. The agents are always courteous. Prior to the pandemic, wait times were 1 to 1.5 hours. There was an online chart giving typical wait times throughout the week. Very useful. During pandemic times, most common services require an appointment but a few don't have appointments. When you arrive, there is a pre-screening person at the front. Because of appointments, there are far fewer people in the waiting area. You still get a ticket to wait but wait times are now 5 to 15 mins only! The waiting seats have signs to block off seats to ensure physical distancing. There are screens showing the called ticket numbers showing you which agent booth to go to. There are 43 booths. Certain booths are assigned certain functions. They accept debit and credit cards for payment. There is no free WiFi but part of the waiting area has access to the free TD Bank WiFi. Mobile internet is also available even though the office is in the basement. There are no customer washrooms but you can use the mall washrooms.

The months went by and l still have the expired license: wonder if l had gotten the renewal done and by mistake discarded the new one !!
