I had a very disappointing experience with this company during a home reconstruction project. What should have taken 2.5 to 3 months ended up taking over 7 months, and the process was filled with delays, poor workmanship, and unprofessional behavior. Scheduling Blame Game: The final project manager, Mike Meredith, blamed me for delays, saying I wasn't available. That's completely false. I shared my availability, but the original subcontractors repeatedly canceled or ghosted appointments. I even have documentation to prove it. Eventually, the subcontracting company's owner had to get involved. Unprofessional Conduct: The first subcontractors were inappropriate--making comments toward me as a female homeowner that were completely unprofessional. I raised this with the company and the subcontractors, but nothing was addressed. Poor Work Quality: The initial work on the main level and garage was so bad it had to be redone entirely by a new team. Only after they assigned a second project manager did things get finished properly. Company Knows There Were Issues: Mike Meredith even told me they no longer work with those original subcontractors, and that the first project manager (Levi) is no longer with the company. That says a lot. No Resolution: Despite everything--delays, redo work, and inappropriate behavior--Mike refused to offer any credit or discount, claiming the work was eventually completed. That completely ignores the months of inconvenience and stress I endured. I would not recommend this company. There was a serious lack of professionalism, poor oversight, and zero accountability. Future customers--especially women--should proceed with caution. read more

SERVPRO DOUGLASVILLE did a fabulous job on my listing in Powder Springs. Extreme damage from a dishwasher leak that ruined all floors on the main level, plus kitchen cabinets, sheetrock walls, countertops, island! "Dakota" was wonderful to coordinate all crews necessary to fix everything! He always answered my calls asap and coordinated so many contractors within Servpro to get all repairs done and close this property! The new Buyer was thrilled at the result also! I am very disappointed that ServPro has less than professional people and that they don't stand behind the customer in a time of distress. We entrusted our home to them to dry it out while we were on vacation as we had a pipe burst and some significant water damage. When we returned we found that there was significant theft. They will not take responsibility as owners and compensate us. I had to file a report with the sheriffs department. What a disastrous decision to use them. (Adding to the disaster of water damage!) They left a huge mess and didn't clean up at all! I feel so wronged all the way around. read more

Everything from day one nothing was covered to protect my home from more damage and then told my insurance company would not cover for protection that was a lie I called insurance co it did pay for protection from farther damage. From then on it was all down hill I'm looking at 2 years of this unprofessional mess and being yanked around I'm 79 and a widow I have been abused read more

Avoid this company if at all possible. My project coordinator, Johnny Butler, doesn't take phone calls, and only texts in the vaguest "I'll look into that" type answers with silence for days or weeks thereafter. No sense of urgency, no desire to do things the right way, and only by begging and pleading them to do stuff does it finally get done. Awful service. I would give them 0 stars if possible. These clowns were on our insurance company's approved vendor list. I have filed a complaint with the GA EPD for failure to follow required state and federal safety protocols. They placed 2 fans in our garage before testing for asbestos, which later came back positive. We fired them for the above & when the tech came to pick up the equipment, he insisted my husband sign an e-document & when he refused, the tech became rude and verbally abusive. This franchisee has at least 2 additional ServePros in addition to Servepro of Carrollton; Douglasville, Servepro of Troup/Coweta and Servepro of Gwinnett Southeast. read more

Servpro was called to help when a water pipe on the main floor of our home burst. Even though the Villa Rica office was called, the team that responded was from Newnan and could not arrive for 4 hours. When the Servpro truck arrived, the workers had no equipment to begin work. All they could do is assess the situation and begin to say how much demolition would be required to remedy the situation. We had already gotten a plumber on the site to shut off the water, and we had begun to mop up the water on the floors. It took another 2 hours before a Servpro truck arrived with blowers and dehumidifiers. The Servpro employees were not professional at all, and were very adamant they needed to start the demolition process immediately, even before the insurance claims agent approved the work. The Servpro workers left that evening to return the next day, and were still focused on demolition. The claims agent finally approved the restoration process using Servpro because they are on the approved list of the insurance company. My wife and I left our home to go on vacation, with the assurance that Servpro professionals would be the only individuals with access to our home during the demolition process. Servpro placed their own lock box on the front door and we gave them keys to enter the house to be held in the lock box. When we returned home, we found the house in disarray from the demolition and blowers still in use to dry out the floors and walls. Debris was not cleared. The evening we arrived home we discovered someone had gained access to rooms in our home that were not affected by the broken water pipe, mainly the master bedroom area and the utility room area. Then we discovered a theft had taken place in both of these areas. We contacted Servpro management and was told unless we had video evidence of one of their employees in these 2 areas taking the items in question, Servpro was not responsible. If we needed to file a police report, that was fine, but Servpro would not be held responsible for any theft of property during the time they were in charge of working in the home. No apology given! I must say I was warned by several professional individuals, one is an independent insurance agent and the other is a contractor, not to hire Servpro except to set up blowers and dehumidifiers. They said Servpro has a bad reputation for hiring poorly qualified individuals of questionable integrity. Unfortunately for us, these words of caution ended up being true in our case and caused us to have a significant loss on top of the catastrophe of the broken water pipe. Buyer beware applies here. Servpro came to my house after a massive water leak in bathroom the went through the ceiling and damaged the lower floors. DJ was professional and thoughtful and f/u with me on a daily basis. Cody and Ray completed the job with removal of the equipment and photos. They were all very helpful and explained the entire process. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

I don't know where to even start...so I'll say that I generally only write good reviews, but I have to make an exception for ServPro. We've had a genuinely terrible experience with ServPro and would not recommend them to anyone at this point. After a kitchen faucet leak over the holidays, we called a local company for water mitigation. That team (not from ServPro) was great-- super responsive, worked quickly, respectful of our house (used plastic wall dividers and wrap to minimize construction dust, packed up our belongings from affected rooms, cleaned up all construction mess), and worked seamlessly with our insurance company on the billing side. Our insurance company referred us to ServPro for the rebuild, so we trusted that recommendation. ServPro was quick to initially come out and write their estimate (and collect the initial check), but everything since then has been a nightmare. 5 months later, we still don't have a functional kitchen. It took 3.5 months to finally have a functional laundry room again. Our entire home was previously renovated in 5 months, and ServPro can't even finish a kitchen in that time frame. Our project coordinator has been difficult to communicate with, evasive about work and timelines, and straight up ordered wrong quantities of materials, resulting in countless unnecessary delays. We have tried to mitigate issues by reaching out to customer service at servprocustomercare@gmail.com, which was initially helpful in finally getting the project started (2 months after the initial damage...), but the project has repeatedly stalled out. The main contractor has been more communicative, but less honest. As a recent example, it took three days of waiting for him to come take additional measurements for cabinets-- something that should have been accomplished months ago, and each day that week he texted us that he would be out to take measurements, only to not show up. We work full time and can't spent days waiting for contractors to not show up. When we raised the issue to ServPro customer care, the contractor called to berate us and seemed to think we should be grateful that he showed up after business hours...at 7 PM, after three days of waiting for him. Even the work that has been done is of questionable quality. LVP was installed in the basement by the ServPro team, and it's already cracking apart. We have had the contractors back twice to fix it, and it's still a mess. Additionally, doors were installed crooked and trash and construction debris have been left outside our house and on the yard for weeks at a time. Most recently, we're still waiting on kitchen cabinets. Inexplicably, the ServPro team spent four weeks "looking for cabinets" because they thought it would "take too long" to order them. After wasting a month of time, they finally ordered cabinets. We have not been able to get a clear answer from anyone on why cabinets were not ordered weeks (or months!) earlier in this project. We were told that cabinets would be delivered between April 26-28. We're now more than a week past that timeframe, and have been unable to get any additional information from ServPro on when we might finally have a usable kitchen again. When we contacted our insurance agent to express concerns with ServPro, he mentioned that we were the third customer that day who had called with similar issues. We will be sharing this feedback with the insurance company and sincerely hope they reconsider referring customers to ServPro in the future. Honestly, we were shocked by all the great reviews here because it's so opposite from our experience. It seems that the other negative reviews are also from insurance claims, so maybe those are treated as lower priority. We have certainly never felt like restoring our home was a priority for ServPro. We've tried everything to manage this internally, but we're at a loss-- we just want our house back. read more

ServePro was extremely responsive. We just moved into our brand new home and hadn't been here a week when we had water issues due to the washing machine. I called on a Sunday morning around 9:00 and spoke with Melissa. She was calm and empathetic and assured me she would get right on it. Dustin showed up within the hour, assessed the situation, and immediately started getting everything cleaned up. It didn't stop there. He came back every day for 4 more days, worked with the insurance company, and helped us through this very difficult time. He was very calm and made us calm. He always showed up when he said he would. The entire experience with Melissa, Dustin, and ServePro was exemplary. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

We had a pipe burst and flood our house. The immediate water-mitigation team who came out to remove the water and start drying our house were fine. They were communicative, friendly, and professional. But for as good as the immediate response team was, the repair team that came after was the polar opposite. Every single step of that process was miserable. From the two weeks it took to give us a correct quote, to the fact they missed every deadline they set themselves. What their project manger predicted would be a two-week repair job dragged on for 2 and a half months. Two and half months in which our home remained an unusable disaster. Having to fight with them every day just to get them to do the work, being constantly told to expect one thing, only for it to never happen (and that's when we were told anything at all) was a frustrating, hellish trial. And you want to know the best part? Two months after they finally finish and we paid them, we then discover that they just straight up lied about a big chunk of the work. They told us (and charged us) for putting in new insulation in the repaired section of the ceiling. Guess what we saw when we went up into the attic two months later. A huge bare spot! They just flat out lied about it. Do not use this company. Just don't. They are the absolute worst. Even months after we finally finish with them we are still being haunted and filled with regrets for ever hiring them. read more
