I went here because my friend recommended it and to buy the Groupon which is what I did. I had my first session of laser hair removal on my armpits and bikini line. The nurse who did my laser was very friendly but she missed some of the hair follicles on my bikini line. 24 hours after my laser appointment I had a severe rash of folliculitis on my underarms. It was very red, itchy, and painful. After seeing my physician, I was given 2 topicals to apply 3 times a day to the affected area. It took over a week to clear up and I still can't wear deodorant to this day and my appointment was over 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure if it was the level of laser that she used that I got that rash or if it was a lack of cleanliness. I wouldn't recommend getting laser for this reason. read more

Seeing how I took work off for my appointment today I was a little bit bummed. However, Once I spoke to the receptionist on the phone and told her my situation, she set me up at a different location (still for today- yay!) and still allowed me to use my package deal. The manager never around so you can impress a mistake of a management. Only reason I am still going here is because I purchased a package on Groupon for laser and there are no refunds. The customer service here is horrid. Every time I have called to make and appointment or arrive at my appointment the girls on the phone are extremely rude and short. They could care less about their job and their customers opinions. I purchased the Groupon for 2 large areas... I get a Brazilian laser and typically my armpits, at sev since armpits are considered a small area and not large you may not use the Groupon.... even though the Groupon is for a larger and more expensive area. You must buy and additional service. I do not get anything else besides my Brazilian for a large area so my second large area that I have paid for goes unused every time. Before I bought the Groupon I called and spoke to a woman who told me it would cover both but when I came to my appointment the front desk staff was trying to make me purchase more additional services than I would need. Not to mention she was extremely rude and had major attitude towards helping me. Not sure if they're paid off commission or are told just to keep on pushing products.... made me feel extremely uncomfortable and not wanting to come back. The laser esthetician in the back was friendly but not very personable. I feel like I am in a rundown doctors office when I am inside the room. The ceiling is cheaply built and has panels falling out along with the furniture inside. SEV you need to step up your customer service game and all around business. I found out about Sev Laser via instagram and quickly became obsessed with the aesthetic of their page - plus the affordable prices drew me into scheduling an appt. I scheduled the first morning appt. for laser treatment and about 10 minutes before my appointment I got a call that the nurse had called in sick and I would have to reschedule. I was disappointed because it was so last minute and I was already in their parking lot and I had called off work to go because I live about an hour away - but emergencies happen so I tried not to base my opinion of Sev off that. When I went in for my rescheduled appt., I was amazed by the customer service of Sev. I was treated with such respect by Ari (front desk) and my nurse who really made this experience amazing, comfortable and fun! I 10/10 recommend this place, but my tip is: if you're traveling a distance to come to Sev - don't schedule an early appt. just in case any unforeseen emergencies happen for the nurses. P.S. Went to dr laser for my first round of laser treatment and after a satisfactory (at best) experience there my friend recommended SEV. I just finished my second treatment at SEV and could not be happier. Their staff is caring and well educated on laser (what settings to put it at, etc.) I dont have the highest pain tolerance and have always felt they put my concerns first. The best part is the pricing and the results. The pricing is cheaper than almost any laser center in the country (which made me weary at first), but their investment in top of the line equipment gave me great results after just one treatment. I wish to complain about the receptionist Sonia is rudest receptionist I have ever seen in my life.because I was late for exactly 5 min , she kept me waiting for 30 minutes and nurses walking around and doing nothing and keep telling me that she is on break while the nurse told me she is on hold , because the receptionist asked her to ( my appointment was at 11:55 and I arrived at 11:59. I came to this location twice , My first experience was awkward but the nice Lady ( was Asian I think ) who did my laser was awesome and was the reason I came back . I got charged $20 for flaking which I owned up to it and paid it . Now the 2nd time my sister had came with me made a appointment , they couldn't attend her since she didn't see a DR. Which she was upset because we drove from Chatsworth but she understood the policy . The assistant in the counter told me she would charge me $20 more for a " no show " so what kind of customer service is this ? She did show up ? She was frustrated enough already . She was willing to get laser. But as I said she understood the policy . She even said " il pay you the $20 but I won't ever come here again ". So by the time I wanted to make my 3rd appointment I was told I needed to pay $20 extra because of MY SISTER. What does that have to do with me? Why wasn't I informed about the extra charge ? I came to my last visit on time. But it's okay you guys lost a customer due to customer service . I am absolutely satisfied with SEV Laser. It's a little tiny hole in the wall, but once you're inside, you feel like a boujee lil thang lol. Once you walk in you check in with the wonderful lady in the front (by the way she is such a sweetheart). If I could give zero I would have done that! This place is terrible! I booked my reservation three months in advance and I told them that I want to add two more areas to my booking. I was told on the phone that they cannot add those areas on the phone and once I get there I can ask them to add. I went there and they said sorry we can't do it cause our nurses are fully booked for the next three months! So why did you tell me on the phone that I need to do it there! People at reception are terrible. Then I made the reservation for three months after when I was originally planned to and asked to give them a tip!! I gave $20 tips and I was told you know what call us next month one day before your appointment and we can add those areas to your reservation!!! Guess what ? Same thing happened!! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Highly recommend you leave your laser place and come here! Janae, the receptionist at the front was just super sweet and is very professional! I believe I also spoke to her when booking my appointment and she was able to get me in the next day! She offered us waters and gifted me a lip balm at checkout! Made my experience there even better! Sheila!!!!! She did my laser treatment. WOW she is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable in the field and has background in dermatology as well. She is familiar with many skin conditions and makes you feel very comfortable. She definitely put a smile on my face when I was nervous for my first treatment! I barely felt anything and I've been to other places that are maybe a bit cheaper but the machines are older. The machines at Sev have these cool air technology which makes it a lot less painful. I've been coming here since November 2017 and i love the Nurse that does my laser she makes me very comfortable and does an amazing job but recently the customer service has been terrible. I called once to let them now i was in traffic running 10 minuets late as soon as i told her she charged my card a cancellation fee of $50 and said she couldn't do anything to help me. My next appointment they had we waiting in the lobby for 50 minuets after my appointment time. Ari at the front desk was absolutely no help yet she was ready to charge my credit card when i was asking about canceling due to a family emergency.
