Had the worst meal of my life here last night. The cheese curd was greasy and blah. While eating that we were told they were out of my hubs soup and his entrée. He picks a different meal and we waited 50 min while the place was empty. My eggplant parm showed up unbreaded and cold and barely cooked. tonight Saturday 3/20/26 my husband and I tried to go to a restaurant without a reservation so thru the parking lot we came across this place so we said what the hell why not well what a HIDDEN GEM , we ordered the nachos , peanut butter wings , the wings delicious, and the nachos were fantastic the chips were perfectly salted and they were layer just perfect , for our entrees he order fish n chips fish fried perfectly nice light and crisp . I ordered the rib eye which was fabulous. The best part was our TORI , top notch , she was sweet and answered all our questions and makes a killer margarita. read more

I have been here 3 times now and every time it's dead the only people that have been in are the staff and their friends drinking but you won't be because they are too busy serving their friends rather than taking care of the customer! it's sad that you have to practically beg for a drink when there are only two parties in the restaurant!!! So, I do want to say that this place did have awesome food for what we got! We were a party of four couples, and one of the people in our party, It was their birthday. The restaurant offers, free wings, and steamed clams for the birthday person. After we put our tables together for the eight of us, our waitress took our drink orders. The person who had the birthday wanted only 10 hot wings for themselves. He said we could get whatever else we wanted for his free order. So we ordered 20 wings and 20 steamed clams. I ordered fish and chips for my meal and the rest of the table ordered 2 pizzas and an eggplant appetizer. Our waitress returned to tell us there were no longer any more fish for the fish and chips, so I decided to change my order to an appetizer of calamari. She left and returned a few minutes later, and said that the toppings for one of the pizzas were not available, and asked if we could decide on something else. It's been about an hour now and so far we only received our 20 wings and 20 steamed clams then about a half hour after that the eggplant and calamari arrived. The birthday boy did not receive his 10 hot wings yet. We inquired when the rest of the order would be out and she said shortly. After two hours of waiting, we noticed the chef was just preparing our pizzas. ( the pizza grill is basically in the restaurant area) it appeared the chef was creating pizzas - so we asked him if those were our pizzas he was working on and he said yes. Now mind you, there was only about six other people in the restaurant all seated at the bar. We were the only table seated. We discussed at our table about the pizzas and told him it's been two hours so never mind just give us our bill please. The birthday wings NEVER came, the pizzas NEVER came! So for a party of eight we shared 20 Steamed clams, 20 wings, and 2 small appetizers!! Needless to say we won't be going back there - so disappointed that a restaurant has no food!! read more

Enjoyed a delicious lunch. We had sandwiches: a Grilled Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich with Muenster and a Turkey Club on toasted sour dough with cheddar. Fresh gourmet tomatoes and crisp bib lettuce were nice touches. French Fries were hot the way we like them. My wife had a hankering for some pizza as we were leaving Saratoga for Clifton Park. As we looked at the menu for Seven Bistro we noticed that it included pizza. Our previous visits there were enjoyable so we set our sights on heading there. The parking lot was relatively filled (it is also a hotel) so we were surprised that no one was in the dining room at dinner time on a sunny Saturday evening. There were a couple of tables with customers on their patio. I decided to commemorate the Shmaltz Brewery's 4th anniversary, which they had celebrated today, by ordering a pint of their Slingshot while my wife had a Druther's IPA ($6 each). Both went well with the excellent old blues music that was being piped in. The pizzas are about 10" personal size, so we decided to order a couple of apps also. My wife had the Mediterranean Salad ($13) and I got a cup of the Tuscan Soup ($4/$7 bowl). The salad had some nice flavors from the tabbouleh, feta cheese, hummus, Kalamata olives, cucumber, grape tomatoes, and pita chips with fresh mixed greens. But it was dry. My wife requested some oil and vinegar and found that improved it significantly. The Tuscan soup was bursting with flavor and chock full of sausage, potato, onion and spinach. The toasted and buttered slices of baguette on the side were delicious too. For our pizzas we decided upon the Miale and the Seven Special ($12 each). The Miale was our favorite with a combination of pepperoni, bacon, prosciutto, and onions. Not mentioned on the menu, but also on the pizza was a bit of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. The crust is a very thin one, so thin that the edge became like a cracker. The bottom of the pizza was a golden brown from the gas oven that it is cooked in. The Seven Special pizza was possibly a mistake from the kitchen. A mistake that we did not realize until I started to write this review and looked again at the menu. The Seven Special is described as being topped with prosciutto, arugula, fresh squeezed lemon, and mozzarella. The entire crust of this pizza was like a cracker. Not just the outer edge, but even to the center. Also, as you attempted to pull the slices apart, the topping fell off the pizza. Note that I said "fell off" the pizza and not "slid off" the pizza. You see, there was nothing to hold the toppings to the pizza. It was not until I read the menu again at home that I realized that our pizza never had any mozzarella on it. Now, the toppings that were there were delicious. In fact, with three slices left, my wife ate some of the prosciutto and arugula with her fork and I added the rest of it to my last slice of the Miale. Yum, that was good. We did mention to the chef on our way out that we thought the Seven Special needed some further thought by the kitchen since the toppings were falling off. Too bad we hadn't realized at that point that the mozzarella was missing. Otherwise, service was friendly and responsive and as I said at the beginning, the background blues music is really good. read more

Seven American Bistro is a viable option for anyone too lazy to walk outside the Park Manor Hotel and visit better restaurants nearby. ATMOSPHERE: One of Seven's better aspects was the decor. The restaurant had red upholstery with black trim. Each table had a "candle" (an electric light designed to resemble a candle) with comfortable chairs. SERVICE: Our service was okay, albeit the restaurant was very quiet. Three tables were occupied, so I'd be curious to see how this place functions when/if it's busy. FOOD: The fare is hit or miss. We started with their fried chicken wings which were very middle of the road. The sweet chili sauce tasted nicely, but overall the wings didn't stand out for us. Plus, they were served with only ranch (blue cheese not an option). For entrees my lady friend got their salmon which was served atop mixed vegetables. The salmon steak itself was an adequate portion, though there could have been more veggies. I did try a piece of the fish, and while it was crispy it was a bit dry. My main course was their margherita pizza which I found disappointing. This one lacked the signature dried tomatoes, and the toppings slid right off the crust. Speaking of which, the outer perimeter of the crust was crispy, but the inside part was soggy. The tomato sauce had to be the blandest, runniest sauce I've had on a pizza. VALUE: Not very good. When you walk into a place with "bistro" on the name you certainly expect bistro prices, but you also expect bistro quality. Seven failed to deliver the latter. If they want to charge $12 for ten chicken wings, then don't deep fry them; smoke them instead. Yes, smoking takes a lot longer, but the name of your restaurant and the atmosphere you create directly mandate the quality of your food. Deep frying chicken wings is for dive bars and family restaurants. More importantly, if a restaurant like Seven has pizza entrees as 1/4 of its food menu items, then they should learn how to make a proper thin crust pizza. They can't slap some toppings and bland sauce on a soggy crust and charge $11 for it expecting customers to be satisfied by that approach. TL;DR: If you're physically capable of walking across the street, go to Chili's if you want the same food quality without the destruction of your wallet. read more

The place is very pleasant... still offering one of the best Happy Hour's in the area... but now, much improved. Buffalo wings... $5 for an order; Sweet Chili wings... $5 for an order. 12" Pizza with 2 toppings...$5. Calamari...$5; and more. reduced price beer and wine.. AND NOW, ENTERTAINMENT..... Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. Service was pleasant. Locals... I made reservations for dinner tonight, but that was a laughable gesture--there were no other diners when my husband and I arrived at 6:30. Our house salads were quite good and a generous size. I had clams in garlic wine sauce over spaghetti; hubby had honey chicken with roasted potatoes and veggie stir fry on the side. The cheesecake is what we both chose for dessert. We were not disappointed with our dinner, nor were we raving about it. It was adequate in portion size, cooked nicely, served by an attentive waitress, and I didn't have to do the dishes! I was completely impressed! The cucumber margarita was interesting and tasty, as was the strawberry basil martini; chicken wings were crisp, nicely flavored, and served with real blue cheese dressing (chunky); and the baby asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and cheese, lightly grilled, and drizzled with a balsamic glaze was awesome!! Though I only had a couple of appetizers, the menu looked quite appealing and fairly priced. Since my first experience was so good, I decided to hold my company meeting there next week. I am giving Seven a very generous three stars because it was meh. We were a group of four and went in around 6:30. I made a reservation because I wasn't sure if it would be crowded. We were seated right away and I was shocked that it wasn't super busy on a Saturday night at dinner time (especially in CP). I found it strange that our server waited to take our drink order with the meal order but had water to the table right away. Our drinks took FOREVER to come out! A wine and three beers shouldn't have taken that long. We got the sweet chili calamari app and it was bland at best. It was chewy and really lacked flavor. It came out within a reasonable time frame. Then we waited...and waited...and waited...for dinner to come. It also took FOREVER! We had ordered two Cubano sandwiches, a steak sandwich and a salmon entree. It shouldn't have taken as long as it did as the dining room was only half full. The food was bland, again, and very underwhelming. Strangely, the catsup that came on the side for the fries was super watery and didn't stick to the fries at all when dipped. We thought that was strange. The final nail in our "we are never coming back here" coffin came when the server dumped a handful of my husband's uneaten fries in his lap when she was clearing the plates. No biggie as they were saucy and didn't stain him, but it definitely sealed their fate. The decor tries to be boutique but doesn't make it all the way there. Overall, just a very bland expereince. We had eaten here once before and had a rather average experience, but our most recent visit has resulted in us crossing this place off our list. My wife had a pizza that was very greasy, and I ordered a nice chicken breast. When it arrived, I discovered it was lathered in cheese-despite no mention of the cheese on the menu. They did take it back to cook another meal but when it came back it was dry and tasteless. My question is this: who puts cheese on chicken and worse, doesn't mention it on the menu? My husband and I ave been here a times as the first time was really great. WE went with friends and shared the fried calamari appetizers. This is a bistro so the menu is not hugely extensive but what we've had so far has been excellent and there is sufficient variety. I had the Pan seared snapper which was perfectly made and tasty. and my husband had the grilled salmon pesto which also did not disappoint. The wait staff was attentive and we enjoyed our wine. As we filled up on appetizer and bread, we did not have dessert. Our friends also enjoyed the experience. And they too planned on returning. We had a pleasant experience with the ambiance and food so we have returned for other meals. The place is not huge but spacious enough and reminds me of a Paris bistro with the white and black checkered floor. The redone hotel is lovely and parking is ample and convenient. It's great having a restaurant in Clifton Park that is not a super chain/ fast food. We plan to return as it is convenient to home and we enjoyed the food. read more

I was staying at the Park Manor Hotel. We had dinner every night in the bistro. The food, once it came and if it was correct, was delicious. But, the service was extremely slow. We were forgotten on more than one occasion and waited over 30 minutes to order drinks that never came. The staff was always apologetic, but apologetic every night isn't the same as having good service. read more

I went with 5 of my buddies last night happy hour was amazing the drinks were buy one get one free. We set at the bar and then ordered off the happy hour menu they have 8 different items at $5 apiece each one of them were delicious. We are going back on Friday after opening day of the track. We visited here after hearing about it from a friend and thought we would give it a try. Very happy we did! Went during happy hour and we tried some $5 appetizers that were great. Calimari, mozzarella sticks and pulled pork sliders. All good and loved the sliders! We also had the potato chowder which was thick and flavorful. Dinner was the filet which was served very nicely done with a peppercorn sauce but may want it on the side next time. Very tender! Companion had the seafood and spaghetti- another hit! Apparently we had some room left and got flourless chocolate cake- decadent! So happy to find someplace new. We will be back! read more

Seven. An American Bistro, is a delightful place to visit. I stopped in to check this place out and have a glass of wine. The house Chardonnay was enjoyable, and the pour was decent. The ambiance is lovely, bright and cheery, and the staff super friendly. Since it was happy hour, I ordered the calamari ($6) , which was perfectly prepared and presented. The calamari was light, crispy, and flavorful. Combined with banana peppers , tomatoes, and greens, it was a delicious appetizer. I look forward to returning soon with my husband and friends for dinner. Daphne was my friendly, engaging, and professional bartender. If I could give zero stars, I would. We walked in around 9:30 on a Saturday night and there were 0 people in the restaurant. The bartender was standing at the bar talking to the cook when we walked over. She was literally just staring at us with the worst look on her face, no greeting whatsoever. Since she wasn't saying anything I asked if we could sit at the bar and her response was just "sure". She walks over and continues to just stare so my boyfriend orders a beer. I took a few minutes so she walked away to get his. Then I ordered a beer and she rudely asked if we wanted any food because the kitchen closed at 10. We said yes (we had drove 4 hours and we were staying at this hotel and decided to come here because we were sick of driving, and we were also very hungry.) We said we'd get the food to go because honestly the vibe in that place made us both feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome we didn't want to stay in there any longer than we actually had to. Her response was "okay excellent" clearly she did not want us there or to make money that night because the bar was open until midnight so it's not as if we were holding her up or anything. As soon as the food came we quickly finish what was left of our beers Took the food and went back to our rooms and ate. It's really too bad that the bartender would have rather stayed at the bar all night flirting with the Cook rather than making money and doing her job because the food was actually really good, and would have been more enjoyable right out of the kitchen and hot. The Cook seemed to care a little bit more about his job than the bartender since he separated our fries from our sandwiches so they wouldn't be soggy. However if that's the most they can do for customer service then they should probably find a job where they don't have to deal with the general public. We went for lunch and my husband is disabled and the staff is excellent in waiting for him to decide. the new spring menu is nice he had the Korean BBQ small plate and because it is a little spicy the chef asked if that was ok.
