Every time we're upstate we come here because everything is so good! Every roll is fresh and delicious the hibachi is always a good time as well. They're super attentive to the picky people that are usually in our group. It's just fun coming in and seeing everyone having a good time. The bar is really sweet in there too and they have really fun drinks.

We ordered off the generous lunch menu. Hubby got the Thai chicken curry and I got the chicken hibachi lunch. My lunch came with rice and noodles and lots of onions, broccoli and zucchini veggies. Served with delicious soup and Ginger dressed salad. The vibe here is very relaxing. We enjoyed our lunches immensely. Prices very affordable. Would like to come back and try their large hibachi tables with a group. The folks doing service were attentive and kind. Will definitely come back.

My family and I have been dining here since they opened. I've always had a great experience. Very fresh sushi, great service, and reasonable pricing.

Had Dinner here again as a sister date. The food was delicious! My only complaint this time is that service was too fast. We were not finished with our appetizers before our dinner arrived, thus we were juggling plates.

We went to celebrate my sisters birthday. We decided to go during the lunch hour rather than dinner. The restaurant was not busy at all so service was exceptional and the food was the same as dinner portions for 1/2 the price! We did the hibachi which was excellent and entertaining. They even gave my sister a donut with a sparkler in it and sang HBD! Highly recommend especially for lunch.

I can't get enough of this place!!! I've come to Clifton for two weeks and have had either lunch or dinner every day since I've been here! Absolutely extraordinary food, presentation and drinks. The staff are wonderful... friendly, attentive and work hard to make their patrons happy! I've never had better Japanese in my life! Lastly... the vibe is fun and cool! Highly recommend this restaurant for your Japanese cravings! You'll find no better in the area!

I have just found my new favorite sushi place! The menu reads like a diner with so many interesting options, many that I have never seen before (e.g. the Duck Tortilla Roll appetizer that I tried and loved!). The Black Dragon Roll's tempura shrimp was cooked to perfection, not greasy and with a delectable crunch. Presentation is an art form. The seafood was fresh. The medley of greens were tasty. The house sake, smooth. Service was quick. I will definitely keep this place in mind when I am in Clifton Park!

I have never been to a hibachi before. The experience here was incredible. The chef cooked all are food in a great and timely manner. My one friend is allergic to seafood so her food was cooked first as it should be. The rest of us got our food shortly thereafter. The food was fresh and hot. I would definitely go back again. I think I'm hooked!

"Taco Tuesday" "prime Rib night" Cons: Menu said the entrees came with bread service, but no bread was received. I was looking forward to the bread, but felt uncomfortable outright asking because the server was being so kind and trying their best. Staffing: It was not too busy, as there were around 5 tables seated and 6 people at the bar. Service speed was slow, but there was good reason for this as they're down one staff member. It was unclear if the kitchen was cranking out room service orders for the Hilton as well since I went on the day of the Belmont. Ambiance: There is a lovely photo-op wall with a neon sign and disco like backdrop! Each table has flowers and a candle and the tables are sturdy. Taste: Enjoyed the food that I ordered and felt the portions were appropriate and well portioned for the pricing. My server, Bruno, he assisted me with a new menu item that they just placed on the menu, the Lemon Chicken. It was tart and the chicken skin was crisp. All in all, good experience - it took considerably longer than I had expected, but I noted regulars while I was there as well.

The bar tender, Noah, was impressive and friendly in that he knew his liquor stock very well, and could explain the flavor intricacies of the various types of bourbon, vodka, and gins. They also offer some non,-alcoholic beverages for the "designated driver" of the group too. We watched Noah make everything from regular and "dirty martinis" with fresh ingredients, as well as one drink where he used a butane lighter and some tiny cedar chips in a straining tool above the drink to give it a fresh, authentic smoky look and flavor. Noah knows his stuff!!!!! The patrons were friendly, diverse, and easy to socialize with if you chose to do so. The establishment is pet friendly for "socialized pets" with a water bowl outside the establishment and some free Milkbone treats inside. Keep in mind that this establishment is a "tasting room" with the majority of products from the New Scotland Distillery, but there are other options. Just don't expect to get a Bud Light Draft or food here. The only downside is that parking in the Lark Steet and State Street location is difficult to obtain without some effort, but we managed to park our vehicles 2 blocks away. This is not a direct criticism of the establishment because the experience is well worth this minor potential inconvenience. We would definitely go back there again, especially for the specialty drinks or the flights and half flights of their bourbon and vodka products. Thank you once again, Noah, for a pleasant and educational evening!!!

Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. The bartender served our drinks with no napkins and no lime. Details are key in a place like this. It was also loud, and it looked like a birthday party was happening. If that was the case, maybe the place should have closed to the public to accommodate that celebration. People were loud and drunk, and the birthday boy was saying vulgar things. We will not be coming back.

Another friend, Pam, had highly recommended Emma Jayne's Restaurant which is only a couple of traffic lights from Trader Joe's - a perfect location for our trip. The restaurant sits just north of Fred the Butcher (next door, literally) for those who frequent that establishment, on Route 9. There is off-street parking. When we arrived at 12:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, the front parking spaces were full. (Note: there may be parking around back; I didn't check) We thought we might have to wait for a table. Wrong! The restaurant is surprisingly spacious with two large rooms furnished with tables that were thoughtful spaced apart. A photo of an adorable young girl, whom we assumed was the dining establishment's namesake, was on the wall. Let me be sure to mention that the ladies room, which smelled faintly of bleach, was spotless. I mean REALLY clean! About the food ... my friend and I shared an appetizer of Fried Calamari. It was an ample portion (took some home) accompanied by sweet chili sauce - a nice change from typical marinara served at other places. However, the calamari was small and overcooked. As a result, what was presented was a plate of small, overly crisp rings of 90% batter. No squid! For our entrees, Barb chose the Chicken Salad Sandwich. She requested that it be served on a pretzel bun (touted as homemade) for which we were hit with an up-charge of $3.50. The chicken salad had grapes and walnuts in it and Barb liked it very much. The up-charged pretzel roll did not appear to be homemade. Very disappointing. Had she known it would be uninspiring, she would have accepted the brioche roll. Macaroni salad - not very exciting - accompanied the sandwich along with a pickle. I love seafood and was torn between ordering the Fish and Chips (halibut) and Lobster Pot Pie (an appetizer). Our server, Drew, gets a gold star for suggesting the second one when I told him I wasn't a big eater. Apparently, the halibut, while highly recommended, is a sizable portion. The pot pie was superb! The rich, creamy sauce was divine. I couldn't eat it all and will enjoy the rest of it for lunch today. Emma Jayne's menu has something for everyone. Our server, Drew, was informative and attentive. While we may make other food choices (skip the calamari and pretzel bun but keep the pot pie), we will definitely return.
