I use to come here all the time and honestly besides the limited pumps I've always liked this gas station. They're situated on a corner so there are two ways to get onto the road which is really helpful when there is a lot of traffic coming from the bank side of gas station. I don't come here anymore because the prices are high in Arlington and I no longer live in the area but if you're around that way I recommend stopping there! read more

So after shopping at eden center, we noticed my tire was flat so we had to find the closest place to get air. We stumbled upon this place because it's right next to eden center - wow it was a miracle and I'm so glad it was there! Another guy actually warned us about the flat tire and I was really grateful there's still caring people out there in the world lol. We get to this Shell and the guy was so helpful. He was helping out a lady get air in her tires then he looked at my tire and said there's a nail in there and I was like wow how does he know this. So anyway, he looked and found a nail and took it off. Then he examined it more and was like there's another nail there. I have to lift it and look and i was like WOAH this guy is good. So he looked and there it was, a freakin long nail in the tire. He asked me if I have a spare tire and I said yes. He took my spare tire from the back of my car (I have the old version of rav4 with the tire outside) and replaced the tire with nails in it. He put the pierced tire in the back so I can get it properly installed at another place. That guy was so helpful and I've never been so grateful and happy, we gave him a good tip! read more

Just had my car inspected for the first time alone here! These guys are real straight shooters and make it really easy. I was very blown away by their service, honestly. The power went out without warning when a telephone pole outside was being repaired. The business was understandably upset they were not warned at all of this possibility by the power company; but the Shell staff remained completely calm and professional. The mechanics even continued doing any work they could without power! They offered people to come back another time if they didn't want to wait for the power; I had time on my hands so I waited. The cashier even gave me a folding chair in a shady spot until power came back on! Definitely coming back next time I need and inspection and recommending to friends in the area about an easy efficient place to get emissions and inspections done! read more

All encounters with this gas station have been top notch. I have seen them go out of their way to give directions to non-english speakers. I towed my car there on a Sunday to get work. I brought my 2002 Ford E-150 in to have the check engine light codes read and diagnosed. I dropped it off and they said they would call me when they have the information so I could decide where to go from there. No call ever came so I went over to the shop myself to find the van sitting outside. I went in to find my bill with just the words "light reset" on it and a charge for $35. I went to talk with the mechanic who told me he accessed the OBD port and diagnosed the codes from the van. he said I would need to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the Intake Sensor. This was after much confusion and round-a-bout discussion as I could barely understand what he was saying due to his poor english, and the fact that he could not give me the actual codes or diagnostic info I originally requested. To make a long story short; I replaced a ton of sensors and parts myself based on his info, and based on the codes which I eventually had to go back to the shop and drag out of him so that I could do my own research. Since the problems with the van persisted, I eventually brought it to another shop who informed me the OBD port did not even work and they had to fix it before they could get the codes off of it, and the codes ended up being for completely different errors (missfires and lean fuel mixture). The mechanic at Shell had LIED to me about accessing the OBD port, LIED about the codes, LIED about the sensors that needed to be replaced (which BTW cost me about $400), and LIED about resetting the check engine light! When I confronted him with the bill from the other shop, which clearly stated the work done to fix the OBD port and then the ACTUAL codes read from it, he continued to insist he knew what the issue was and he would not return my money for not ever having scanned the OBD port in the first place. I have never been lied to by a mechanic like this before, certainly not in the face of irrefutable proof, and the days worth of time and money wasted is unconscionable. read more

My friend's car had been making funny noises for awhile and the Jiffy Lube guys thought it might be the transmission. We were a bit scared by that thought and dropped the car off at the nearest shop, which was the Seven Corner Shell. Hichem took a look at the car right away and told us the problem was a piece of the car that had rusted, with the top part still stuck in the car and rattling around. Relieved, we asked about replacing it and though he could have easily said we needed it replaced and charged us, he said it wasn't a vital part and we were fine without it. We offered to pay for the consultation but he declined. It was such a relief to find someone who was honest and very friendly. He knowledgeably answered all the questions we had with patience and detailed responses. Great service! read more

Yesterday I stopped by to use my Giant gas points ($.10 off per gallon) on regular gas. I put the gas nozzle into my tank and pressed the regular button. Initially, nothing happened so I hit the regular button again and then gas started to pump. I filled up just under 10 gallons and my total came to just over $35. I was prepared to pay $3.14 per gallon with my Giant rewards discount so $35 seemed high. When I printed the receipt, it showed I had pumped V-Power fuel into my engine (@ $3.64/gallon), not regular even though I had hit the regular button 2x. When I went to see the gas station attendant, I was told it must have been my accident and that the hose must have it the V-Power button. He also proceeded to tell me that he could show me how to properly pump my gas after he refused to refund me. Additionally, I was told to drive back when the manager was back today (spending more gas than necessary to request a refund a second time). I have never had a poor experience with Shell, so it was really unfortunate that this happened. read more

I had my VA state inspection done on my '04 Expedition here last week. Dropped in on a Wednesday around lunchtime and shopped at BJ's next door while waiting. It took 45 minutes to finish. They didn't call to tell me it was finished even though I asked them to do that. This was in the middle of the month, May 18, which I know usually helps with inspections. read more

Avoid this place. I brought my car here because I had a slow leak in my tire due to a very small nail. They used a tool to make the hole much bigger so that they could insert a plug. The next morning the tire had lost a lot of air. I took it back and they tried to convince me it must be a different issue or something I had done. I showed them the air was leaking from around the plug. So they inserted a second plug and said if it still leaks I need to buy a new tire. The next morning the tire again had a lot less air. I took it back again to explain that the reason it was leaking air was because they must have ripped the tire with the tool they used to make the hole bigger. The original hole was slightly bigger than a finishing nail. The technician was at lunch and would not talk to me until he came out of the back room. When he finally emerged he refused to listen and kept walking away. I told them they need to at least put a used tire on to fix the mistake but they refused. I asked for a manager or owner but there was nobody in charge and they said the owners wouldn't be back for several weeks. I have since talked to other tire repair businesses who said that anytime they make a mistake with the plug, their policy is to replace the tire. Not at the Shell station at Seven Corners. They are a complete joke and should be avoided at all costs. read more

Nice, friendly, reasonable and prompt. Went here to check alignment, brakes and general condition plus get an oil change. They were really prompt, and said everything was in good condition (I could tell they really did check because of comments about previous work done elsewhere), so there was no charge except for the oil change. read more

Impeccable service! Our windshield wipers broke on one of these many icy mornings - it was at 9am on a Sunday so I was convinced we'd be stranded until Monday. We stopped by this service station. The man at the register said the repair shop was closed on Sunday but maybe he could help. In between waiting on customers, he would come out in the freezing rain to patiently install new wipers. Then he realized our mechanism needed fixing so he went out to his car to get his OWN set of tools to finish the job. He didn't charge us for his time (just the parts) and steadfastly refused a tip from us. We were so grateful for his help and kindness on an icy Sunday morning! read more

Yes,"Yelpers", I know this place is awesome! I've been coming to them for years... (my 21 yr old nephew was a baby)! That's why I shouldn't even be writing this. I'm selfish and want to keep them to myself! You know how crowded excellent places get when everyone finds out about them.Boo! But,yeah, they are that good! They have gone above the call of duty many times for me. Even fixing a tail light for free, that I didnt know was out. Wipers. All kinds of things. They never seem to be out to overcharge people(like us women) like a lot of mechanics try to do! Even most "waits" for your car aren't long. Extremely dishonest, tried to convince my friend to get close to $1000 in unneeded repairs. Then tried to scare her into not driving out of there without them. Also lied about the brand of battery they installed, had them take it out. Car is running fine, no repairs needed. My car broke down while I was out Christmas shopping at noon on Saturday, December 22nd. I have driven by Seven Corners Shell and also get gas there sometimes so I noticed they have a mechanic working on Saturday. I phoned them in a panic and asked if they could fix my car if I could get it towed in. An exhaust pipe had fallen off and I could not drive the car. They were very polite and helpful and said if I could get the car towed in by 2 pm they would do their best to fix it. I got the car towed in and the mechanic got my car up on the rack and showed me where the exhaust had rusted off. The mechanic said he'd have my car fixed in 2 hours. I live within walking distance so I went home and called them in 2 hours, and the mechanic said my car was ready. This service station is terrific. They are so helpful and nice and they really helped me out over the holiday weekend when everyone else (including the mechanic I'd been going to) was closed. They did only the service that was needed at a fair price. I recommend this service station highly and I will take my car to them from now on, too. read more

I was completely clueless about where one even goes to get a headlight fixed, but had a little bit of unplanned time - enough to start thinking about it. I stopped in to this Shell to ask if they knew where I could get it fixed. They immediately started fixing it! The person who ended up replacing the lightbulb, Henok, was AWESOME! The car was super-tricky to get in to change the bulb, but he did it patiently - even though it was SO hot out. And he did it expertly and quickly! I was so impressed! We need more mechanics like Henok!! He is so very talented! I hope the Shell station is paying him WELL!! read more

This station is reliable, however the gas costs more compared to some other stations in the area so I don't usually go here. (FYI, they have those annoying TVs on the pumps that everyone is getting...) They also do state inspections and I took my car in today for one. It was convenient because I live within walking distance. The mechanic, Adam, was very helpful and the inspection went fine. But, I asked the cashier to call me when my car was done because I was going to wait at home. She said sure and took my name and number. I waited and waited, and no call, so finally I walked back. My car was parked and clearly done. I went in and said to her, "I didn't get a call -- is my car done?" She said yes, with no explanation or apology. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but to me, this is just bad service. If you don't plan to call, don't agree to do it, and if you said you would and didn't, you should apologize or explain. That's all there is to it, so I don't think I'll go back for service. I don't want to end up waiting like that again. read more

Took a chance on this place and it is great! It is near the Planet Fitness gym. We drop the car off and go work out and they have it finished. They do inspections, but they also do more complicated stuff. We've also gotten a car detailed (it was awful). It looked like new. Good honest people. Good prices. read more

My husband and I have been to gong to Seven Corners Shell for over 10 years. Hichem the owner and manager is wonderful and frankly feels like a friend. Rates are reasonable and mechanics take time to explain problems that may exist. The car has never been returned for a job the was not well done. I just cannot say enough nice things about this place! Everyone has always been so nice and helpful. I have been taking my car here for several years and love it! They have saved me money by showing me that parts I was told needed to be replaced by other shops did actually not need to be replaced. They always explain everything they are doing and have even helped me to keep an eye on my tires and inspections (services that they do not even do). I will keep taking my car here, there is a very low wait and turn around time and I have NEVER felt ripped off. read more

Incompetent: buyer beware. I took my car in for a tire repair due to a puncture and a VA safety inspection. They advised me to replace two tires to pass inspection - fair enough, because they were at the end of their life. They wanted to charge me almost twice the normal retail price for the tires, but the car was undriveable so I reluctantly pulled the trigger. When I picked up the car, it was almost undriveable again - shimmied at 40 MPH and above. I took it back for a rebalance, but they just swapped the front for the rear tires. Problem still persisted. They then said it was because a bearing in the suspension was cracked: $600 to fix. Car only has 24,000 miles so I didn't believe them and left. Examined the car: all of the tire pressures were wrong and uneven, the original wheel weights were still on the new tires, and they had put one of the original back tires on the FRONT, so clearly they never balanced it and the wear was uneven. I took it to someone who actually knew what they were doing and we just matched new tires and rebalanced - good as new. Wasted $300 on these bozos. read more

On July 31, 2008, I had to have the emission and state safety inspections. Without any hesitations, I went to a shell gas station at Seven Corners near where I live. I didn't have to wait for long until the mechanic called me. He said my car passed the emission inspection but did not pass the state safety inspection. Using a flas light, he said the serpentine belt needs to be replaced. I did not see anything wrong with the belt. There was no crack or any signs of it being worn out. But he kept saying it needs to be replaced, with his broken English, otherwise he couldn't give it a pass. I was quiet puzzled because my car is a 2003 Toyota Corolla and I bought it brand new. I asked him how much it was to replace a serpentine belt. He said it was approximately $100. Being a woman, I didn't know much about car, but my guts told me that this man is lying. A serpentine belt would cost you about $20 if you buy it some where else. I flatly told him that I didn't want him to change the serpentine belt and leave it as is. Actually my state safety inspection sticker is expiring in November 2008, which means I still have 3 more months until I have to have it inspected. Without my permission he already took my November 2008 sticker off from my windshield and glued a pink rejection sticker on. I was so furious and then asked him to put my November 2008 sticker back. He said he already threw it out and couldn't put it back. I wanted to argue with him, but then I thought I was just wasting my time arguing about an inspection sticker with someone who barely speak English and at the same time being dishonest of his work. After paying in the cash register for both inspections, I then went to another inspection station near by knowing that this mechanic was just trying to rip me off out. My car passed the state safety inspection at another inspection station.I repeatedly thanked the good mechanic who was being so honest in doing his job. The mechanic said there was nothing wrong with the serpentine belt! Never ever go to this Shell gas station for anykind of business, these are dishonest people! read more
