I've been hesitant to write a review of Mustafa's shop for years. Not because I don't recommend him to all friends/family/neighbors/people in the grocery store, but because if people know how awesome he is, they'd not take my car so easily and there would be a wait. When my husband and I first went here years ago, we were shocked that of the customers waiting with us (four or so), all had been going to him for three years or more. And there's a reason. His place reminds me of how auto mechanics used to be--honest about what needs to be fixed, what could be fixed, what you can let be, and what to begin saving up for in the future. He's true to his word on estimates and will work with you to help get your car running. I have an older car (25 years young), and he's kept it going. It's a gas station, lol, but it's also an auto repair service station. This Shell station is very conveniently located super close to my work, but I still hardly ever fill up here because the Shell closer to my house is cheaper, only five minutes down the road, and this station is literally right on Little River Turnpike, and it's small & a bit tight. Still, I love that I can use my Giant Foods Shell gas rewards at any Shell Gas station, and this location is another great option for that. I have both heard and read many great things in my local community about their auto repairs, but I have never used them and cannot attest to the validity of these claims; however, it would be worth checking them out. read more

As a first time at that location, I got overwhelmed with the number of cars the gas station has. Mohammad, the inspector was very knowledgeable on the issues that I have with the Ioniq. DO NOT GO HERE THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS !!!!! I got my car towed here after the key seperated from the fob. They lied to me and said the key was broken off into the ignoriton WHICH IT WAS NOT BECAUSE BOTH PARTS TO THE KEY WERE HANDED OFF TO THEM. Then they tried to charge 1k to fix it, so I got my car towed out of there as fast as i could and guess what, not only was the key NOT broken off in the ignition like they said, but they threw away the entire key, said they never had it in the first place!!!! couldnt evene keep up with the lies each employee was coming up with. The hubs and I usually go to another auto shop down the street, but if there is a long wait or if there are some parts that are readily available, Pinecrest Shell is always the next reliable option! The staff here are extremely honest, very thorough, and guarantee their work on your vehicle. The prices are fare and they don't try to upcharge you or try to 'conveniently' try to find things that are 'wrong' with your car. Very disappointed. I ask for an estimate and said they'll get back with me, but after a week I'm still waiting for a call back. I spoke with Mustafa and he assured me that he'll call back after I followed up on Tuesday. Pinecrest Shell & Auto Repair: Where It Is YOUR Fault. Went by for a safety inspection and oil change on Saturday, knowing that I had a headlight out. The guy says, "I can't do the oil change, but I can do the inspection. Come back in 30 minutes." When I got back, he says the headlight was a problem. Turns out, the bulb is fine, but the socket is burnt out. So he gives me a temporary permit and tells me to come back Monday. He says they have the part they need in stock, so no problem. When I went back on Monday, it all goes to hell. Moustafa, the owner or manager, starts throwing his employee under the bus. They don't actually have the part, but that's not Moustafa's fault; it's that employee who works on Saturday. Um, okay, well, I guess let's get the part and get this done. No problem, no problem. So, after a two-hour wait, I come back, and what is waiting for me? A bill for $130. Parts and labor for the socket replacement: $68. (Turns out, the bulb was bad, too, but--guess what?--that's not Moustafa's fault; it's that Saturday guy ... you know, Moustafa's employee.) Oil change is another $50, because, of course, they won't honor a coupon I had. I was never given an estimate (see image below). I never signed off on any of this before the work was done. And when I objected to the price, Moustafa got aggressive and very rude. It's not his fault--it's MY fault for not asking questions beforehand. That's the kind of man you are dealing with here. Throws his employees under the bus, nothing is his fault, and if you, the customer have an issue, prepare to be blamed and yelled at. What a despicable individual. No doubt he will respond to this in short order, blaming me again. Stay far away from this place. read more

Wow. Highly recommend this shop for oil changes! Ok so I got a coupon in the mail for an inexpensive oil change and I hesitantly went into the shop to get my oil changed. Hesitantly because I have a hybrid and that scares some shops. Hesitantly because every other time I've used a coupon I have had the staff dicker with me over the price usually making it three times as expensive. I went and got my oil changed in under one hour. It was exactly the price mentioned on the coupon. My car was taken care of beautifully. The staff was kind not creepy (matters as a woman going in solo). And then at the end of my service they said we're so happy you visited us we would like to give you a travel cup. Count me flabbergasted with joy. Heck yeah Pinecrest! I came here purely because of the good reviews I'd read on Yelp, and I wasn't disappointed. I was coming here just for my emissions inspection, but while I was waiting, I figured I would ask the man behind the shop desk whether my car really needed the new transmission fluid that the dealership has been bothering me about for the last year. (Seriously, I was worried that my car would break down on the side of the road based on the big hullabahoo that the dealership made out of it. They said I was way past the point when I should've changed the fluid, and that I needed to change it yesterday.) First, the man was nice enough to actually ask one of the mechanics to check my transmission fluid. Second, they were actually honest about their assessment. The mechanic checked the fluid and said it was fine - I could probably drive another year before changing it. I know most shops wouldn't pass up the opportunity for more $$. And then third, they provided a minor service for free. Pushing my luck, I asked if he could check my power steering fluid too, and the mechanic was happy to do it. He said it looked fine but that I could top it off with a little more fluid since it was a little below the full line. Then he grabbed some power steering fluid and did it for free. Now that's service! This location is a bit out of the way for me, but I'm planning to return because I actually trust the people here. read more

I've taken my car to a number of shops in the past. I can say this is easily the best shop that I've ever been to. The customer service is second to none!!! They are more than fair on prices!! I've saved hundreds going here for services on brakes as well as tires. They were even nice enough to give me a ride to work while I waited for my vehicle. Great friendly staff. Very polite and reasonably priced. Located next to a 711 and plaza so you can grab something while you wait or get drinks and coffee here within the store. Bonus points on the fan amd tv The owner is friendly and rapidly replies to yelp messages and quotes. The owner isnt lazy either. Currently he is running the register. Talking to customers on the phone while helping customers in the lobby as well. Along with the awareness to close the mechanic door due to The loud sounds protruding through the door. Only 7 seata in the lobby though but everyone has a chair. Free coffee So far. Reasonably timed labor adjacent to the amount of customers and cars here. Mustafa is fabulous!!!! He always greets you with a smile, and calls you by name. He goes out of his way to be sure you are a satisfied customer. I've had work done on my '10 Ford Escape and '02 Ford Thunderbird. The Tbird is getting a bit on the old side. They have found hard to find parts for it. If I were to use the CSI (Customer Service Index) method to rate my entire experience at Pinecrest Shell Auto & Repair - it would say, "A highly Satisfied Customer" When arrived at Pinecrest Shell Auto & Repair, I was pleasantly greeted by the owner, Mustafa. As a satisfying customer, I felt the owner himself was a great 'service advisor' to me: 1) He was focused on my needs! Such as offering me a ride anywhere because my repair will take couple of hours or more. 2) Provided helpful advice. Even better when he took me to the back and showed me where the problems is and explained what repairs needed to be done. 3) Price of services/labor and parts is  reasonable. I would not take my car anywhere else. I have a tuned FBO BMW 335xi and have done a majority of work myself. However, when I can't finish a job, don't have the right tool, or cannot figure out the issue, I always take it to Moustafa and his staff. Very honest people, reasonable prices, and a quick turnaround time. I have come to Pine Crest Shell several times for "emergency" service. They have always found a way to accommodate me in a timely manner, despite how busy the shop was. I recommend this shop to all car owners. I am very finicky about my car and wouldn't even let the dealership touch it. read more

Last time I went in for an oil change and state inspection, there were a couple of things that happened that didn't sit right with me. First, the shop called about an issue with my parking break that they said would be a 'minor' fix. After a couple of more phone calls from them, the cost of the 'minor' fix kept going up. When I asked for additional information for why the cost and extent of the fix kept going up, Mustafa offered that the additional part and amount would be covered by the shop and he would call me when it was in-stock. This was back in January and as of August writing this review, I haven't heard back. Next, I recently got an oil change on the same car at a different shop given this experience and they commented that the oil pan bolt was almost stripped do to previous overtightening (by Pinecrest). While their prices are definitely good, it seems if you catch them during an off day going to this location might not be worth the price. read more

Very honest people and their work is great!. I once had to go to the gas station near my neighborhood and they charged me $150 more than this gas station would charge. When I complained to the gas station in my neighborhood, they called and checked the price with this shell gas station and they later told me that this shell gas station that I go to has really great price and honest. The shell gas station people don't even know me but still explained everything to someone from other gas station who called them about the price. After that, I never go anywhere else but this gas station. Great service and people are nice. I saw a feedback that this gas station charges $35 for putting the air into tires, and I think that person might have mistaken with some other gas station. Great work for low price. It's sort of out of my way, but I went here on the recommendation of a coworker. I needed some work on my suspension, and the dealership quoted me more than I could pay. This place isn't as fancy as the dealership, but I saved SO much money! They even caught some things that the dealership had missed, and that would've caused more problems down the road. The service was quick and courteous, and they've got great hours. They also guarantee their repairs, which is great for my peace of mind.
