All the vet technicians are kind, gentle and caring with my baby. I love that they have an app so you can see everything that's going on and can reorder medication for you pet if needed. Also you can keep track of past and upcoming appointments and things that seven Fields veterinary do for the community. This is the most friendly, honest, caring and well equipped/ informed veterinarian I've ever been to. They genuinely care about the pets well being and health. They go above and beyond for you. My dog got sick and I called to get her in right away and they said they were short staffed and couldn't see her for two weeks! I am a regular client. I found another vet that saw her right away. As I was leaving Seven Fields they called and said they could see her the next day and didn't I get their message. No they left no voice mail or message at my house. I would give 10 stars if I could. This was the only place we could go to on the weekend when our dog was critically ill. The staff was kind, engaged, responsive and knowledgeable. The facility is clean, new and large. Unfortunately it was decided that our old dog was not going to recover, and euthanasia was recommended. The staff catered to our needs, and the facility even has a private exit for grieving pet parents, so as not to go through the waiting room. Highly recommend. read more

I have had so many positive experiences since my review that it must be updated. After posting my negative review, Dr Griffin made quite a few attempts to contact me. Our schedules didn't align at the time, but when they did she was very eager to discuss my experience and suggestions. They (the team at the practice) have already been working very hard on the wait-time issue and I believe when she said that she is terribly bothered by that and takes it to heart. I also discussed my experience with the testing and prescription that wasn't offered. I do believe that the entire practice is very committed to learning from any issues, and I have been amazed at the response that my feedback received. Just today I've had to return for an emergency appointment with my same cat, Oliver, for a recurring asthma attack. . Dr. Griffin fit us in immediately and took care of him in every possible way that she could while trying to find root causes and spending a great deal of time with both me and him. The level of care that she demonstrated was outstanding and it was clear that her only goal was to make him immediately comfortable, make him healthy and find long-term solutions even if that meant spending extra time with us when I know she had a very full day. So fall of 2020 my dog was outside and I had an Amazon delivery which I didn't know about and in that delivery was dog pills for joint and hip. My Lab decided to smell out the box and when I went to check on her she had consumed 118 of the 120 pills. I contacted Seven Fields and they immediately told me to contact poison control for animals which I did. It was determined that they needed to induce vomiting and that I could not do it. I called Seven Fields back and they took her right away and saved her life that day. They Always call and check in and make sure how things are even after a normal shot. Thursday May 14th 2020 I took my Pug Mae to get her Rabies vaccine, Bordetella and a citapoint injection (allergy shot) there was a misunderstanding. She was given ALL of her vaccines at once. That was at 1pm. She was so lethargic, I was told she would be tired. At 7pm I took her out for a quick pee. She was rolling around dragging her face on the ground and grass. As soon as I saw her face I freaked out. Her lips were swollen, her eyes swelled shut and she began gasping and choking. I called Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital. The young lady Michelle ( I believe) I was freaking out! She stayed on the line with me until I got there. They were waiting in the parking lot for us to arrive. The staff of women and Dr Christine Miller saved my pug Maisie's life. I cannot say enough about how caring and kind everyone at this Animal Hospital is , from the phone call to get over there , to the instructions for her follow up meds. THANK YOU SO MUCH! These people do not care about you or your pet. They do, however, care about your money. They will exploit your love for your pet to get you to agree to ridiculously expensive tests, then turn around and say that they need to order more ridiculously expensive tests. These people will fleece you without so much as batting an eyelash. What they did to me and, more importantly, my cat is simply inexcusable. He developed cancer (rare in young cats) and they just kept insisting on ordering test after test after test. The vet I saw was young and clearly inexperienced. She didn't take the time to listen to me and kept pushing tests that were, quite frankly, redundant. They must have a quota to meet. Its sad because years ago Dr. Anne actually saved one of my cat's life. All the staff loved that cat and when she passed, I received several condolence cards. I guess that's what seeing those dollar signs does to you. Never again will I trust them with a pet. read more

I took my 12-year old dog to Seven Fields after spending two years battling a horrible skin condition, runny eyes and constant ear infections. He was a smelly mess. I had been taking him to another vet for two years. After bloodwork and a thorough exam, Dr. Osche got to the root of the problem and I got my dog back! His skin is COMPLETELY clear, his energy is back, he no longer smells and his hair is growing back. It is unbelievable! I recommend them highly. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Laura Firestine. She is sensitive and compassionate and delivers bad news so kindly. Emily, the technician who checked us in was very thoughtful as well. The first thing that comes to mind when one's pet is ill is "what did I do wrong?" and both were quick to assure me that there was no shame, no blame. I was discreetly checked out in the exam room so I wouldn't have to be seen crying in the main lobby which was a nice touch. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and the waiting area is comfortable. The website could use a refresh. Great service! My cat got vomiting and didn't drink or eat for more than a day, I got little worry about dehydration of my cat . I called around everywhere and other clinics just told me they don't have available appointment until 3 days after or asked me to visit the emergency (which cost lots more)..... Besides that, no other suggestions... I know cat vomiting can be normal sometimes but you never know how serious it can be. I dont think my cat was in an emergency situation but don't want to wait 3 days.... I am really appreciated Seven Field, they try to understand my concern. Even they don't have opening appointment at that time , they try to work out with me so that my cat got a chance to see the vet and had a treatment for a reasonable price! Very helpful. read more

Can't speak highly enough about this place. Never used them before but had an emergency situation with our dog late Saturday afternoon and after calling all around looking for a vet, they quickly returned my call and took him in despite no appointment and at closing. Here's the best part....later that night, my dog was still feeling ill. The vet broke off her evening engagement and met us at the clinic at 10pm to give him an IV. Our dog is back to good health but the extra effort and care from this clinic significantly aided his recovery. I can't thank them enough. Needless to say, I've become a big fan of the vet and the clinic. read more

I have owned miniature schnauzers, and now a Schnoodle, for 39 years and consider our veterinarian like a pediatrician. Bottom line, I am very selective about procedures and personalities as they relate to my "puppies" and myself. I recommend Seven Fields because they really care and everything is immaculate. I can always schedule an appointment because of the their customer-friendly hours, evenings and Saturdays and Sundays, too. Their facility in New Brighton, PA, on Third Avenue is also very helpful. The vet clinic is clean and the staff is welcoming. However, I've not been impressed with the experience and knowledge of the staff. I have two cats and a dog and they are rescues who have pretty bad anxiety. We took my 7 year old dog in for her teeth to be cleaned and while we are pleased with the result and the pricing was comparable to other vets in the area, the follow up was lacking. Our little girl has a lot of anxiety and they aren't very sure how to handle it. Which is shocking since they are professionals. When I went in for the follow up I was the first appointment in the morning, got there 10 minutes early to attempt to avoid interactions with other animals and my anxious girl, and ended up waiting for 20 minutes inside the exam room, after the appointment time, before anyone even came by. I could clearly hear nonchalant discussion in the back room between the staff. Once we were finally visited, the tech had me open my dogs mouth to check where they removed her tooth and said all looked good. A total of a 20 minute wait, when there were literally no other clients in the clinic, for a two minute check that I basically did for them was not how I wanted to start the morning. Regardless, it's not the worst vet clinic we've been to... it's very hard to find a vet that is caring, knowledgeable, and has evening/weekend hours in the Cranberry area... but it's not the best either. read more

Sadly, our 13 year old Scottie needed to be seen do to a life ending issue. Our regular vet was unavailable (due to COVID-19) and we desperately needed to have our dog seen. Fortunately, Seven Fields Vet was open and willing to see a dog that they never saw before. I can't tell you how helpful Caroline the Vet Tech and Dr. Beatty the Veterinarian were is such a miserable and sad time in our lives. I have been a client of Seven Fields Vet hospital for a little over a year and didn't have any complaints or issues until my dog needed minor surgery for the removal of a cyst. A simple, routine procedure turned into a month long nightmare after I discovered severe burns on my dog's chest and stomach that became Infected. The cyst that was removed was on her head and I was told the procedure lasted 40 minutes, but was given no answer or explanation of how these burns happened. The practice did treat her burns free of charge, but she now has think scars that will never heal. What I wanted more than anything was a explanation of what happened, an investigation of who was in the operating room and what they planned to do to get to the bottom of this incident to make sure it never ever happens to someone else's dog that's left in their care. I was given none of that. This is pure negligence, and breach of standard of care. Apologies were offered, but that is bare minimum to make up for what my poor dog went through. I would definitely reconsider entrusting your beloved pets to this practice, especially for surgery. read more

I just love how compassionate and kind they are. I trust them with my animals 100%. They are very flexible with scheduling, reasonable on cost, clean/modern office, and they are very thorough. My little guy has been sick this past week. He had a surgery scheduled for 10/30. They moved it all the way up to 10/1. I really appreciated this because he was in a significant amount of discomfort. They kept me posted as his surgery progressed throughout the day. I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone that values quality pet care! read more

On April 7, 2018, our cat began having breathing problems and had a decrease in appetite. We took him to Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital because his normal Wexford Vet had no appointments and had closed early that day. Seven Fields ran a blood test and took his blood pressure and a few x-rays. They had him there for several hours and concluded he had fluid on his lungs thus the problem with breathing. But, despite the fluid build-up, they still administered fluids. The vet said if he got worse to take him to the emergency vet. Well he got worse--YOU GAVE HIM MORE FLUIDS! The next day we rushed him to PVSEC who immediately placed him in an oxygen cage and placed a catheter in him to remove the fluids from his lungs. While at PVSEC Seven Fields called to see how he was doing and then called PVSEC to follow-up. They never did follow-up again with us. While Vanos died on April 11th. I would not recommend this vet. I've lived all over the country and despite the area having a large number of vets, it's very difficult to find a decent vet in the North Hills area. read more

The team at SFVH were absolutely fantastic! Our 14 year old lab was having problems standing and walking and they immediately found time for us to come in. Dr. Grohmann and our tech Rose were empathetic, extremely knowledgeable and provided absolutely outstanding care to our dog treating him as if he was their own. I recently had to make a very difficult decision to have my 18 year old cat Sophie euthanized. I had not previously taken her to Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital but needed a new clinic since my former Vet retired. Although I am a seasoned healthcare professional and understood all the reasons it was best for her since she continued to decline due to end stage kidney failure and all conservative treatments had failed. I requested that the Veterinarian give me confirmation there was nothing more that could be done to save her. The Vet agreed and gave me peace of mind I was making the right decision. I was extremely impressed with not on the Veterinarian but all the staff. They were compassionate and caring. The procedure was not traumatic to either me or my "kitty". About 1 week following the visit I received a heart warming condolence card signed by the Vet and several staff members. Seven Fields staff truly go above and beyond. read more

The people who work here are so fantastic! When you are having a pet emergency, they are so unbelievably kind and quick to help you. Our dog Harley started having seizures and I called to try and get her in, they said bring her in immediately and met me at the door when we arrived. They were so sweet to her and were quick and efficient in administering medications to help her. The doctors that we spoke with were so warm and concerned. I can't say enough good things about how friendly and relatable they were and how quick everyone was to put us at ease. We had our dog Franny spayed here and they seem to be really advanced as far as new technologies and therapies are concerned. They utilize lasers to help with to healing process and recommend several different pain management options. The only downfall is that they aren't there at night so if your pet needs to spend the night or if you have an emergency at night you will have to go elsewhere. read more

I honestly cannot express the enormous amount of gratitude I have for this amazing group of professionals. Not only are they prompt, they're compassionate (toward the helicopter kitty mom and her antics) and incredibly accommodating. My sweet 15 year old kitty was brought in for a consult for a feeding tube, and I was quoted some $275 for the ultrasound to determine if he had liver or some other abdominal mass causing his lack of appetite. When that came back as inconclusive, the doctor recommended a separate blood test (after the placement of the tube during the same visit) to which I agreed on, but when I looked at the bill afterwards, I noticed they dropped the price of the ultrasound to accommodate the additional test. Any other vet would have just lumped that additional fee right on the bill and wouldn't have thought twice about it. I'm amazed and grateful, and while my sweet kitty didn't pull through as he was experiencing non HL liver failure (likely old age) they took such wonderful care of him and me through what turned out to be one of he hardest two weeks of my life. They gave me another week to say goodbye, and when Mr Tyson told me it was time, they made even that experience a positive one. I received my paw print in the mail today and I cannot say anything but good things about the staff here! One last thing: when I was calling around for the pricing of a feeding tube to be surgically placed with local vets, everyone I spoke with quoted me anywhere between $1500-$2000 for the procedure. This is not our regular Vet but when our senior dog quickly lost his ability to walk and hold himself up and our vet was closed we called Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital in a panic. From the first voice who answered the phone, to those who warmly welcomed us, and our scared pup, we knew immediately that we were in great hands. Dr. Griffin is amazing. She asked great questions, showed interest and concern and developed a treatment plan which we began immediately. What really amazed us was the fact that we kept the entire staff almost an hour after closing and no one seemed to care at all. I plan to continue treatment with them to manage my dog's pain. Love my vet! This is one of the best vets I've ever taken a pet to. I bring my dog here and they have always been super friendly, kind, considerate and never try to push unnecessary procedures, tests or medications on me. Unlike so many vets I've been to, they never seem to judge if you say money is tight, or try to push you into buying more preventatives than you need (or make you feel like a jerk for not buying the ones they recommend - like flea treatment). Again, LOVE this place. They're also quick to help if you have medical questions or don't understand something. Also, if you just need something quick done, like a blood draw, they'll schedule a tech appointment to avoid office visit fees and you're in and out in a flash. And, their hours are great. I love that they have evening appointments available. It used to be such a pain getting in to my old vet because they called it quits so early in the day (not to mention the fact that the old vet charged an arm and a leg for just about everything!) Lastly, they were such a huge help to my boyfriend and his family about a year ago when their cat got sick. They were with them every step of the way and even went out to their home when the terminally ill kitty finally needed to be put to sleep. Absolutely amazing. Edit: One more thing! My dog LOVES going to the vet! They make her feel so at ease she never fights me getting in the car or going in the doors when we get there. She's always happy and ready to go play by the time we leave too, which is absolutely priceless. read more

I was given several estimates from other vets to give my dog surgery to remove an obstruction. Seven fields vet hospital was the most reasonable and Dr. Griffin and the vet techs made it a point to come in prior to opening to do my dogs surgery so she didn't have to wait. I think Seven Fields Vet is great! They are honest and thorough about my dogs' care. They do not push unnecessary treatments just to get more money out of me. They are very quick to call back with lab results. Everyone from the receptionists, nurses, and doctors are super friendly with my boys (four-legged and two-legged!). The owner and staff give back to the community and animals by supporting local shelters and rescue groups. When we see them at an event, they always remember us, which makes us feel special.
