    So much whiskey!
    John K.

Seven Grand is one of my favorite cocktail bars in Denver, hands down. The location alone is hard to beat - close to Union Station, Coors Field, and McGregor Square - and despite being right in the middle of everything, parking is surprisingly manageable with plenty of street spots and nearby garages. Their cocktails are consistently excellent, but the standout for me is the Gentleman's Buck. It's perfectly balanced, refreshing, and endlessly drinkable. I still wish they'd bring it back onto the happy hour menu! The staff makes the experience even better. Sam and Joshua are fantastic bartenders - friendly, welcoming, and genuinely great at what they do. They make the bar feel like a place you want to return to again and again. And if you're a whiskey fan, their Whiskey Wednesday events are always a blast. You can learn something new, try something interesting, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Seven Grand delivers on all fronts: great drinks, great people, and a great location. Highly recommended!

My husband has wanted to try Seven Grand FOREVER, so when we found one in Denver, it became a must-stop on our list. Didn't have time for more than a drink, so we made it count. Walking in, it immediately gave off a laidback classic/vintage vibe that was so enjoyable. Bar seating as well as table seating available. I myself don't know much about whiskey, but my husband? Loads. He ended up ordering one of their old fashioneds and greatly enjoyed it. Despite it being a whiskey bar, I strayed a bit and ordered their Pride Month Special - Viva La Juicy. Perfect sweet drink with some fruity notes. Loved it! All the staff were so incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. Couldn't find any street parking, so we ended up parking in a lot about a block away. Was actually easy and not too expensive. Wish we could've spent more time exploring their menu, but for just one drink, I was impressed. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Denver.

I'm always on the hunt for a good whiskey bar, and I always wanted to go to Seven Grand in LA. Finally made it to the Denver location, and it did not disappoint. I like my whiskeys, specifically my scotches, real smokey and peaty, so I'm excited whenever I see Ardbeg on the menu. So I immediately got the Islay Julep, which was super refreshing with that classic Ardbeg peat-bomb flavor. Wish I had more time to peruse and sip their whiskey menu. If you like whiskeys, definitely pop on by.

Solid bar in downtown Denver to enjoy not only a proper whiskey cocktail (or any alcohol of choice), but a chance to listen to live music and enjoy the patio out on the alleyway. Seven Grand Denver has a few sister bars including San Diego, Los Angeles, and Austin. My familiarity with Seven Grand comes from my frequent visits to Austin. This bar will be haven for anyone who craves from a single malt to a Japanese whiskey, it is as if they have every single bottle under the sun. It looks like their outdoor patio is smoker friendly as I saw a few people indulging themselves. The reason why I enjoy the patio so much is because it allows you to people watch with folks who are going up and down the Dairy Block Alley. If you are so inclined, I would take the time to sit at the bar and just admire the wall and cocktail menu. It is so enlightening to see their team embrace their passion for the craft. Don't be afraid to ask questions and allow them to provide a recommendation.

Stopped by for a quick drink while in Denver before dinner with my wife. Stumbled upon it while walking and glad we did. The bartender was pleasant and welcoming! Extremely clean inside and next time we swill play some pool.

Atmosphere reminded me of a high-end cocktail establishment, minus the fact that they had two pool tables. We just ordered from the bar and then went and sat down and had a couple of cocktails. Everyone seemed to enjoy their cocktails, but you do pay a premium for them. I like to say, you get what you pay for.

Our final night in Denver, after dinner, saw us walk over to Seven Grand in the downtown area's Dairy Block. The bar is known for its amazing selection of whiskeys--at least 700+ different types, ranging from scotch and bourbon to Irish single pot and ryes to Japanese and American malts and more. In addition to their vast collection of various whiskeys, the bartenders serve some superb cocktails, which I enjoyed. Although the bar started by serving cocktail standards such as the Old Fashioned, Sazerac, and Whiskey Sour, I had the bar make me a Brown Derby that was delicious and well-balanced. But I loved their selection of whiskeys, enjoying a multitude of pours from several producers ranging from Cascade Hallow, Heaven Hill, Wyoming Whiskey, and more. Specifically, I sipped on some rarer pours, such as the George Dickel 17 year, which was an exciting experience with some golden nougat notes on top of its typical minerality. The Heaven Hill 18-year release was solid as I spent time nosing and experiencing. The Wyoming Whiskey, single barrel pick, was my favorite, as that distillery has produced some wickedly tantalizing juice. The experience was enjoyable. I chatted away with the bartenders, who had extensive knowledge and were responsible for managing Seven Grand's whiskey program. I was impressed with their expertise as I talked shop with them and enjoyed the pours. I would make multiple stops at Seven Grand if I lived in Denver. Their bar is fantastic, filled with great whiskeys and excellent vibes.

Bluegrass band plays every Wednesday night!

This is a very smooth whiskey bar with an amazing bluegrass band performing every Wednesday night. The cocktails are always on point. Service, is exquisite and the whiskey options are endless. Whenever I have out of town guests, I know I can show them a good time here on any given Wednesday night. They also do special music events outside like for The Rockies opening day weekend!

First, wife is a vegetarian and they had no mains other than Mac and cheese for her. She ordered the salad without chicken which was $25. They knocked it down to $22 after I asked why it was the same price without meat, which still seemed like a lot for a salad with no protein. Kids' Mac and cheese was not the same receipe as last time; it was a different noodle and seemed to be needing some salt as it was pretty bland. Unlike our last visit they did not include an ice cream for dessert. My fried chicken and waffles was ok--the breading was a bit soggy though and I much preferred the Nashville hot chicken from my last visit. If I'm being honest this was closer to a 2 star experience, but with how good the last visit was, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt they maybe tonight they were just off. That said--need one vegetarian entree for the menu.

Started off down stairs but came up to the rooftop to sit closer to the Tv's. The bartender was good, the food came out quickly. The drinks were a little inconsistent. I got the same cocktail three times and each time they came out very different. The reason I took off two stars was because of the other patrons and disrespect of the staff. We were clearly there to watch the game, not a small game but the World Series! With 2 innings left another table came in and decided to be obnoxious. It was a family, and they asked to put on college baseball. The waiter went and changed the channel and the sound without asking or saying anything. We asked why they changed it because we were watching and he said it is still showing on a TV on the other side of the room. We would have had to move our table, food and drinks after we had been there for hours. Inevitably we were not able to finish the game and had to watch it on our phones. Of course the family who requested the change, wasn't even watching the games they asked to put on. No one asked us or even acknowledged until I asked. It was beyond rude and disrespectful, I doubt I will never come back here for a game after that experience. The entire situation was uncomfortable, and I can't help but think they wouldn't have done that if it was a group of men watching. Major bummer because the food and location is pretty good. Overall, 2/5 stars.

We had driven by it many times and it has been on our list since moving. We quickly found a spot in their free parking lot behind the restaurant and walked in. We were seated immediately by a friendly server and quickly settled on our order. My fiancé got the Left on Red cocktail, which was tasty! We did expect it to have a spicy kick to it, just based on the ingredients, although it was not spicy. Nevertheless, it was tasty! We each ordered a burger, and a side of fries and broccolini. The sides were small portions, but the burgers were the main event. Wow, I can't remember the last time I had such a flavorful burger!! Seriously, do yourself a favor and get the Route 44.
