This our second time coming to this place. Grayson was our server and was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We had the prawns wrapped in pancetta, then was plated on a bed of greens and beautiful fruits. We could've had two orders of this it was that good. Since we couldn't get a reservation until 8:30 (which is late for us) we decided to share a ribeye steak with a bunch of side dishes (all sides are ordered separately). We had carrots, mashed potatoes, a medley of mushrooms and their infamous brussel sprouts. This year they plated everything on the steak plate instead of serving it as a side dish that you've paid for separately from your steak, so you didn't get a side dish portion! Service deserves 5 stars but I dropped it down just a bit as my ribeye was a little under what I requested. I asked for med. rare and it was just a bit closer to rare...I know not a major thing but a high end steakhouse should be able to nail the temp perfectly every time. My wife's filet was spot on at medium. We asked for our sides (they are ordered al la cate) to be plated family style so we could share...and the waiter did a great job. Dinner comes with sourdough but we opted for the herb grilled (ordered as a side for $6). Lots and lots of garlic...almost a bit much..next time we will just stick with the free rolls. The broccolini was a special side and was wonderful...the garlic mashed potatoes were the bomb!! Be prepared as there menu does not list prices for the steaks (market value)!! So if you are concerned...ask first. Sides and "complements" (steak toppers) are extra. They do have a few different sauces that you can order with the steaks. Overall very nice place. I don't know who this chef is, but whoever you are you are Iron Chef worthy!!!!! Who would have ever thought of honey as an enhancement for teriyaki salmon? The salmon was cooked flakey and perfectly. The teriyaki sauce was sweet and savory, and then there was raw, local honey to add. Mind blown!!!!!! Accompanied by perfectly cooked asparagus and very creamy mashed potatoes. I didn't take a picture before I started eating and I'm so sorry. The service is fantastic! Tim was our server. Oh my where do I start! The Restaurant is on top of the Black Oak Casino. First, service is outstanding, Second, the food choices and quality is amazing, the appetizers are wonderful! We came up on a Sunday for a few days, friends stayed at the Hotel with Coupons they had, we stayed in the RV Park which is very nice, it was my first time here, Sunday afternoon my wife hit her first Jackpot!! Over $6k!! Sunday night we throughly enjoyed ourselves dining at Seven Sister's Restaurant, the service and food were absolutely outstanding, this was one of the best experiences I have had at a Restaurant anywhere in the Valley or foothills. My wife and I were celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary. I made a reservation ahead of time and specifically included that it was our anniversary. The welcome was great, after that, it fell apart. We were seated in one of their curved booths. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes to be GREETED, I had to stand up walk to the front and ask if anyone was coming to see us. The restaurant was not busy at all maybe five total tables with guests. It was very slow. I've been a waiter for 10+ years, it was slow. The hostess said she would work on resolving that, she did her job just fine. After an additional two or three minutes, a manager stopped by saying that making us happy was her number one goal. We were ready to order, but she never offered to take our order or get a drink order for us - she just suggested that our waitress would be there soon. We almost walked out at that point. After waiting another couple of minutes, the waitress finally came and was quite awkward. She seemed to be unaware that we had been waiting for roughly 20 minutes at this point to place any type of order. She never acknowledged our anniversary either. The drinks took a very long time to come out, the table that arrived next to us got their drinks immediately and were greeted immediately, in fact, they got everything before we did and they arrived when we were placing our order 20 minutes into our visit. The manager did not discount our meal whatsoever or offer to. Our waitress never said happy anniversary, we were never given some sort of anniversary dessert. That was the last time I'll be at seven sisters, as a local. It was really sad. My wife and I have five young children and we get to go to dinner maybe once or twice a year. I'm usually very generous with tipping as a former waiter myself, and every part of me wanted to leave nothing. I didn't and still tipped far beyond what they deserved. The food was good. Food is usually really good, I've only had one poor experience and it was regarding their water. My wife was pregnant at the time and was being careful of what she drank. We all got water to start and it tasted chemically, we brought it up with waitstaff and instead of helping us, they decided to argue with us. It got so bad I swore that the waitress had chosen this hill to die on. We ended up getting sparkling bottled water (which was very expensive), and going about our dinner. Seven Sisters has a wonder ambiance and fantastic service. It is worth the price and a reservation is highly recommended. I was worried about dress code since we spent the day skiing and did not pack anything more than a t-shirt with me but they were okay with jeans and a t-shirt. The food quality was fantastic. I had a perfectly prepared rib eye with a few sides. I skipped the desserts but they did look pretty good from a distance. Which tasted like it was made from scratch something you would assume from a place of this caliber. It was good. Good flavors and taste. I ordered the filet and mushroom risotto. The filet was ordered medium. It had tons of flavor but was slightly over cooked more like medium well. But was good. The risotto was So so. Overcooked as well, and the process of cooking a risotto takes time and I feel they rushed it. The rice itself was kinda soggy which is a good indication to me they added to much broth to fast during the cooking process. I also ordered the creamy chicken pasta. Which was also good. But not that exciting. I would expect a place of this caliber and price wise I'd get chicken breast with this dish. It was a chicken thigh. Would be much better with the breast and honestly the flavors where overpowering each other in my opinion. The fettechini was slightly over cooked but not bad. My friend had the Shrimp scampi and wasn't overly impressed either. Not completly dissatisfied with the meal but also I would expect more at there price points. Service was alright. I wish I could comment on the food but we never received same. Ever since moving to the Sierra Nevada area we've heard about Seven Sisters. Two weeks ago we made reservations to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived for our 7:15 slot and we're seated. It took 15 minutes for our server to arrive. We ordered an appetizer, salads and entrees. 15 minutes went by and we received bread and water. While waiting we observed others being served salads and within minutes the entree. Body language indicated they weren't happy. We waited another 15 minutes and left after being seated for a full 45 minutes with only the bread and water. The server Tim was literally running and trying his best, so he bears no fault. This fiasco lies squarely on management. I understand that staffing issues persist however, management should account for this and not overbook. We drove an hour over mountain roads to get there for what was supposed to be a special occasion. I'm beyond dissatisfied. read more

They were billed separately so it was an additional $7 for those and the Tomahawk came with onion Tangier's that my husband didn't want and requested to have mushrooms instead. We had to pay for the mushrooms. They would not trade them. He said the mushrooms were good and the steak was cooked accordingly. The steak was prepared as ordered. Tried this restaurant for the first time. Both me and the wife got the filet. I saw one review on this place complain about sides being a la cart. That is very common for a steakhouse so I was not surprised. I was surprised on how reasonably priced the sides were though. We got the tempura artichokes for an app and they were awesome. The steak was ok not great but decent. The sides were very good though. Had the whipped potatoes and Mac and cheese (sorry forgot to take pics).
