I used the practice range and played the Par 3 course here on a weekday afternoon. The practice range is very nice and laid out well. The range balls were a little old and worn. Sort of like hitting rocks. They seem to be overdue for replacement. The Par 3 was very nice for the price. The greens were in very good shape. I really enjoyed playing this Par 3 much more compared to the other local Par 3 which is in bad shape. Staff here was very courteous & accommodating and the prices are very reasonable. The miniature golf course looks very nice too. I heard rumors this property is going to be redeveloped into multi-family housing which is unfortunate.This facility will be missed by many. I guess these type of facilities just cannot be profitable with everything skyrocketing in price. read more

Bottom Line: A very basic golf center but it's cheap, casual and convenient to the Severna Park-Arnold Ritchie Highway corridor. Severna Park Golf Center consists of an 18 hole miniature golf course, a driving range and a nine hole, par three golf course. The golf center also has a small pro shop and a deck for hosting private parties. The Severna Park Golf Center has been in business for decades and it shows its age a bit. The miniature golf course is fun but the holes are set amongst a barren landscape of rocks. There is also a water feature that has seen better days. You won't find a cheesy theme like you would at the beach or a lush landscape like you will in Pasadena. The driving range is also basic. A good portion of it is covered with ceiling fans but the fans seem to be broken. To enjoy the driving range, buy your balls inside the pro shop and then take your ticket down the steps to the range machine to fill your basket of balls. I have not played the three hole, par three course but it looks like a great place to learn how to play golf or to just have fun with 9 holes, 6 beers and 3 clubs. The longest hole is 125 yards so leave your drivers in the car. Also, watch out for range balls that sneak out of the range. Fore! Although dated and a bit run down, I do like how casual Severna Park Golf Center is. You don't need matching name brand clubs and there isn't a dress code so hackers are welcome! The Pasadena Golf Center is a really nice place to expend some energy and have some fun on the miniature golf course, at the covered and heated driving range or in the multi-speed softball and baseball batting cages. The 18 Hole astro turf course has a lot of variety to it and I love that the landscaping is very appropriate for the Chesapeake Bay region. There are fountains, water features, water falls, grassy knolls and cat tails. The landscaping stakes you feel like you are teeing off in the marshes surrounding the Chesapeake Bay watershed. I ergs only don't miss the cheesy Happy Gilmore-ish clowns and pinwheels here! This is a really nice place for families, dates and groups! read more

Looks like some one read my review because they have poured a lot of money into the place. They modernized the place with golf ball tracking cameras and they improved the undercover area tremendously. Now if they maybe fix the lower parking lot by filling the deep holes? Just saying.... It's a nice average driving range. The inside is under some construction , so the bays with the simulators are not working as of yet! Overall nice place to go to hit balls in the city even when it's dark. read more

Hosted a work event here. They feature a small pavilion next to the pro shop that offers covered tables and seating for events. $25 (non refundable) reserves the pavilion (in-person only). They feature a decent mini-golf course, light snacks, hot dogs, and canned beer on-site, a pro shop, a par 27, 9 hole golf course, driving range, and batting cages without cages (so you hit the balls into a field, just like in baseball). It's a nice, local places perfect for parties or work events. Parking is simple and the folks working their are friendly. read more

The mini golfing experience was fun. There are several sizes and 18 holes with scoreboards. We played with two children and they had a ball. There was only one downside: termites everywhere as the sun began to set. I guess that this is the season for them. If you like to hit the golf balls long, you can go to the driving range. read more

I have played the par 3 course there and isef the driving range @ a dozen times or more over the past few years with my wife and son.However; I dont plan on returning for any more Par 3 on their course after the experience we recently had there. We were beginning a round and had just finished putting on the 1 st green. My son said watch out for the range balls coming in on us ,as there were more than a few laying on the ground on the 2nd fairway.When we approached the 3rd tee box ,we saw a ball land several yards in front of us and within a few minutes several more landed very close to us.I flagged down the groundskeeper and told him he needed to go back up to the driving range and tell whoever it was hitting that far consistently onto the course to stop.The safety net is set at ,250 yards and is downhill from the range.It's not tall enough to stop a long ball travelling well over 100 mph.There are a number of news storied of people getting seriously injured or killed from getting hit by golf balls. His response was:"there are alot of ignorant people that come here and dont care" I told him thats their responsibility to police that.He said you can complain at the desk.I did and I got an apology,no concern or commitment about the danger and doing anything to resolve it.They probably wont take any action such as higher netting until someone gets hit. went with my dad for some quick pitch and putt. the "greens" were horrible. there was almost no grass on them at all. as putting is 50% of a pitch and putt, it made for an awful experience. worse, their website stated, "due to extreme heat and losing power over the weekend to our irrigation our greens are not in the condition we expect them to be. therefore, we will be charging weekday rates until we feel the greens meet our standards. we appreciate your patience as they recover. 7/9/13" we went on 8/23 and the "greens" were still in horrendous condition. weekday rates hardly compensated for the poor condition. read more

This was the first golf course I have ever played on and it was awesome.It is perfect for beginners and pros. I loved the fact that it was par 3 and 9 hole course . Also it is awesome for a family because if you have young kids they can play mini golf while you play golf and both courses are in amazing conditions . TERRIBLE....was there hitting balls(3/21/15)had to wait outside shop for owner to come back to open to purchase balls.then saw owner on range line picking up baskets while stating customers are losers for not returning baskets. hire someone u cheap skate!!! balls are terrible look like they are about 10 years old. will never return i suggest this place be boycotted, apparently we are all losers. read more

This place is really in a state of disrepair. Took my husband there for some mini-golf and batting cage practice. The mini golf was just OK. Nothing inventive, no interesting obstacles. Just the greens and a few little slopes here and there. It was entertaining enough. But the real problem was the batting cages, which should just be put out of their misery. The cages are quite a walk from the main clubhouse where you purchase the tokens. It's $9 for 2 rounds that include 35 pitches each. First attempt- the machine ate our money, didn't even turn on, and yes we closed the door to the batting cage all the way. 2nd attempt - 3 pitches and then nothing. There are no signs on the batting cages to tell you the speed of the pitches. You have to manually load the balls into the machine yourself (!!), and then it doesn't work anyway. We trekked back to the clubhouse and got a full refund. We told the person working that he really shouldn't sell tokens to these batting cages that don't work. And his answer was that the owner knows about it but just doesn't want to put in the money to fix it. Very disappointing. We then drove about 15 minutes north to another mini golf and batting cages facility in Pasadena. SO MUCH BETTER, no comparison. The mini golf course was much brighter, inventive, and well-maintained. The batting cages were awesome, clearly labeled. Better bats and helmets. We won't waste our time again at the Severna Park Golf Center. read more
