Due to a clogged drain line leading away from our two bathrooms, I had to call their office on the day before a major holiday. Spoke with Liz at the office who was very polite and accommodating. Jesse helped us in converting the septic tank and connecting to the city sewer line at our new house. This was a huge project and there were some additional unexpected costs but I was overall satisfied with the project. They were very professional and made sure that all permits are acquired and all steps were according to code. Holy SH*T!!! Yes, literally! The Poop Gods were angry and these men (and women) came to the rescue!!! Anthony and the other hard-working members of his crew saved our business and employees from wading in our own waste! (Please excuse the graphic visuals.) Hallelujah! As a business that's open 7 days a week for almost 12 hours a day, it's EXTREMELY important that we have clean and properly functioning facilities. Of course, due to life just being life, our toilets randomly decided to regurgitate years of stored waste back to us! (Yum...) These guys are amazing. My house is over 100+ years old and we never knew we had pluming problems until a huge sinkhole appeared on our front lawn out of nowhere. We called around and got a few quotes, but Sewer Spy gave us the best price and there were the only ones that felt honest. Everything was black and white - they gave us a written quote and stuck to it; even though there were additional complications during the repair. The job was crazy large, we had over 80' of piping, we had to pull permits, dig up city street, find the gas line, find the fiber optic line. We had to do everything but they were able to complete the job in 5 days!! The best part of it was that they did something so we were able to use the plumbing while they were fixing everything. We had a sewer drain backup at our commercial property. As the property manager, I scheduled a plumber to come out to clear it but one of our tenants said he could get a plumber out quicker so I agreed. However, he ended up coming really late and didn't even clear the clog (we had to get another plumber out the next day who cleared the backup in less than an hour through a cleanout). Not only did Anthony with Sewer Spy not clear the drain but he caused more damage with removing a toilet in one of our units and pumping water into it causing a flood and completely soaking the carpet (this was the very first thing he tried before looking for actual cleanouts. The plumber who cleared the drain the next day mentioned that a professional plumber would not have used the toilet especially with all the carpet surrounding it and would look for cleanouts). As our unit was flooding, Anthony told me to contact his buddy at a water restoration company, gave me his number and told me our insurance can cover it. Under pressure, I called them, they came out and invoiced us a ridiculous amount. Then Sewer Spy sent us an invoice for $2625 which is even more ridiculous for a couple hours of work for ONE plumber using his own equipment. Setting aside my feelings of being scammed by both the plumbing and water restoration company, I was still willing to pay a trip charge but they were firm on their full invoice amount. I did not authorize this amount and was never given an amount the service would cost or even an hourly rate. Most importantly, they did not fix the problem and actually caused more problems and damages beyond their invoice amount. read more

His prices were very reasonable (and below others that we had received for other major plumbers in town). My plumber brought this company in when it became clear that keeping the sewer line clear was more than he could do with his equipment. It turned out that they had to do two fairly major jobs -- one involved digging several feet under my house, and the other involved relining 30-feet of lateral into the main in the middle of the street. There was a LOT of excavation. They did both jobs in a single day, and when it was done, you could not tell they had been there. After discovering I had a broken saddle and having received a estimate to install a liner and top-hat for $15,000 - $17,000; I called Sewer Spy for a second estimate.
