Still waiting 30 minutes after grub hub said it would be ready. It's been "getting made" for the past twenty minutes. This might be the best sandwich in the world but not worth this awful experience and customer service and support. It's like this every time - last time I come here. It said order will be ready for pickup 12:35-12:45 and it's 1:18 and I'm still waiting. While I'm still her waiting, might as well discuss the awful ambiance here. Use to love this place until today, ordered a ham torta went to pull out the extremely welted lettuce and came to find five bugs in the lettuce and on the bread. With the amount of bugs i've found i highly doubt this lettuce was washed at all along with the bug on the bottom of the bread i'm concerned with how they keep their kitchen and cutting boards. So extremely glad I came here during my visit to San Diego. The vegetarian torta was one of my favorite eats from this trip and I still get a little sad I didn't get it one last time before leaving. Oh my goodness, this might be the BEST smoothie I've ever had. The perfect fruity sweet balance that does not taste artificial. Parking can be tricky as it's all street parking but luckily I came with my boyfriend so I just waited in the car as he went and ordered. I've been coming to Señor Mangos for 15+ years and if I never reviewed it is because is like home to me. Opened in 2002 by the Leon brothers, Señor Mangos is the best Frutería in the city. This business is an elemental part of this neighborhood. It has been consistent, traditional while modernizing itself with time and keeping its classic menu favorites. You won't find fresher juices, smoothies and all your fruit and veggie bites and meals outside of here unless you want to spend a lot of money on some pretentious ass Farmer's Market that doesn't have fresh produce the way SM does. And the fact that I've consistently seen the same staff throughout the years, tells me this is a good place to work in. I recommend everything, from the classic fresh squeezed juices and smoothies, açaí bowls and fruit salads. But if you're really hungry, get yourself a "torta" (mexican sandwich). I personally like the lomo one with a vampire juice. Also, their fresas con crema and escamochas are an excellent dessert. Extra Note: Leon's Produce is a little bodega store right next to it. And then on the menu board it said it is blended with freshly squeezed orange juice & ice. The flavor was good and not too sweet! The area is pretty tough with street parking only. I went on a Saturday afternoon and got super lucky with parking right in front.
