Paradise Yogurt has been around as long as I've been alive since 1981! This place is a San Diego classic-family-owned and definitely a neighborhood staple. Super convenient with cute indoor/outdoor seating and even books to read while you snack. BIG plus for vegan and dairy-free options. That alone will make me come back. I ordered the classic Paradise Acai Bowl - strawberries, raspberries, granola, oats, banana and my choice of vegan yogurt. It was tasty and loaded with sweet fruit. It had layers of acai and vanilla yogurt minus the honey. Prices seemed a tad bit high, but it did hit the spot. They also offer smoothies, shakes, hurricanes, sundaes, and fresh baked goods (with vegan options). That said, customer service is hit or miss. Co-workers have mentioned how they can be off putting and not as friendly. Other times they can be warm and inviting, 50/50 in that department. Parking can be tricky during lunch time since it's near other businesses. Overall, I give it 3 stars. It's convenient near work and reliable in a pinch when you want something light and refreshing. Honestly, I much rather go to Everbowl in the same shopping center, but Paradise Yogurt is my second option for a quick sweet fix.

got a size small and the girl working did not even fill it up to the top. WTF IS THIS????? and she was rude af!!!

Tasty yogurt, good variety of flavors and items offered. Smoothies, açaí, cookies, and hurricanes (like a blizzard or McFlurry) available in a cute shop. However, I had a disappointing customer service experience. I ordered yogurt chips in my hurricane. After a few bites, I did not notice any crunch, so I inquired with the staff whether any yogurt chips were added. The girl who made my hurricane agreed that she added them in, so I thought perhaps they were at the bottom. However, there were no yogurt chips in my dessert. I wish that this mistake had been remembered or recognized, especially after a follow up.

AÇAÍ BOWL (4 stars) - FOOD: good - PRICE: ok - SERVICE: quick - AMBIANCE: clutter-y Summer is here and the craving of açaí bowls are in the horizon. PARADISE ($13.95) - this açaí bowl is the second most popular. It has strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, and your choice of yogurts (strawberry or vanilla - went for vanilla).. I said yes to regular honey and oats. The bowl was of good size, the fruits were sweet and plentiful, and there were stacked layers/swirls of açaí and vanilla with a big bloop of açaí on top with drizzled honey and oats. There was a good amount. Of oats but I wish there was a tad bit more. The first few bites will be a on the sweeter side since the honey is only present at the top. Overall, very happy of the taste - it was everything I was looking for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Will be back to try shakes and ice cream. Until the next review....

Very disappointing experience at Paradise Yogurt. The place felt dirty, the yogurt was not good, and the girl working there was not very helpful or friendly. Overall, the service and quality were poor. I will never go back.

Delicious! I love the lower added sugar content in their acai bowls. While I realize that acai, frozen yogurt and fruit are going to be one big, happy carb bomb, the Paradise version keeps the added sugar lower than most others I've had. The fruit is fresh and sweet, and they do have dairy free options, which I'm thankful for. Today's server was cheerful and patient with my questions about their many options, and while the shop wasn't busy right when they opened, it was good to interact with someone who took the time to be friendly. Paradise has a positive vibe with reggae music playing and sunshiny colors. There are tables both inside and out so you can take your time to enjoy your treat. This is a great place to support an independent, family owned business.

I had a very disappointing experience here. This was my first time visiting, and will be my last. The service was extremely poor from start to finish. My Yogurt was almost entirely toppings with barely any actual yogurt, which was frustrating. When I asked for a refund, the staff was unable to assist me in any way. They couldn't provide a receipt, or process a refund. They were hesitant with any solution at all. Jenny, the supervisor, did top me with more yogurt which was nice but both she and another team member (who did not want to give me her name) were unprofessional, laughing and giggling during the interaction, which felt very disrespectful. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told (while they were still laughing) that the manager would be gone for a month. Overall, the customer service here was terrible, and I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

12 oz. Medium Cup Yogurt...where's the rest of my yogurt?
    Marie T.

Times must be rough or something because the medium I got today looks nothing like the medium in the other pictures I saw when looking through the pictures here on Yelp. The yogurt is good, but if this is the standard for their sizes now, it's extremely overpriced. I should've just went Handel's.

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here to try the gelato and/or a piece of an excellent looking lemon pie bar I spotted.

The decor and setting is cute and quirky, including cow sculptures hanging upside down from the ceiling. There were only a couple other visitors when we arrived, as it was near opening time. Our dishes took a whopping 35 minutes to be ready, and service was not very friendly nor helpful. Luckily, the music playing through the speakers added a nice vibe to the place, songs like Our House by Madness and Can't Fight This Feeling. We ordered the brunch pizza (with eggs cooked overeasy) and the breakfast flatbread which looked almost identical when served, as well as an iced mocha. The quality of the pizza was pretty average, and the eggs were slightly overcooked. The drink was really good, made fresh, with a smooth taste and a nice sweetness to it, the plastic cup coated in chocolate sauce. It tasted more like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee, which I personally enjoyed. They typically serve gelato here, but it would not be ready till almost two hours after opening time. So no milkshakes or cold desserts were available in the morning this past Sunday (no worries, Ghirardelli is just a block away). I appreciate the variety of menu items offered here. But they really should communicate online that their gelato's not ready till two hours into the day. If there's one thing that irks me about an establishment, it's failure to communicate appropriately. Even though our recent visit was somewhat disappointing, I still gave 3 stars, assuming this was an off day for them.

We stopped by recently and got incredibly lucky--there was no line in sight, so we walked right up to order! The Cookies: Gooey, Crisp, & Perfectly Balanced My wife decided to try a trio of cookies, picking out Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Reese's, and classic Chocolate Chip. They completely nailed the texture. Every single cookie hit that golden sweet spot--warm and gooey in the middle with just the right amount of crisp edge. What really stood out was the balance of ingredients. Chocolate Chip: Perfectly measured so you get sweet chocolate in every bite without feeling overwhelmed by chips. Peanut Butter Reese's: An absolute dream ratio of rich peanut butter to chocolate peanut butter cups. Snickerdoodle: Perfectly spiced, striking just the right "snicker-to-doodle" balance! Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the ice cream. I ordered a combination of Cookie Monster and Campfire in a single scoop. The portion size was remarkably generous--it completely filled up the small cup and delivered a fantastic mix of flavors. My wife went with a scoop combining Espresso Oreo and Mint & Chip, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, these were easily some of the best desserts we've had in a very long time.
