Ugh....i thought this would be good. It has some great signals: Spanish speaking workers (or maybe owners) and a salsa bar, but I got the birria and it was terrible. Watery birria to dip in and really flavorless meat. I would not be back. Service was indifferent and they cue you for a 15% tip with a credit card though they did nothing for us other than carry the food out. Save your money. This was bad. Taco Bell is even better!!! read more

This review is on a delivery order, so I can't comment on the restaurant itself. I was at work and craving something a little hearty, so I ordered a burrito and then the upside down pineapple cake for just a little something sweet. This actually was a very good simple burrito. I ordered the pork, señor style. The pieces of meat were generous. It was a very filling burrito. The pineapple upside down cake was a little dry, but still a nice sweet touch to the end of the meal. I would probably order from here again if I wanted a simple easy burrito like I might make at home. read more

At lunch time, it's always packed with workers speaking Spanish on their lunch break, so you know it's authentic. The guacamole tastes home made, and their Senor Taco is tasty. This time I ordered an enchilada. So...it's been six years (!) since we've been to Señor Taco. We've tried lots of other Mexican places around here, but finally came back to this one. I'm really happy we did! We were craving tacos, so I ran in to grab some tacos to take home. And I noticed they had birria tacos-my absolute favorite tacos! They. Were. Perfect. Esther, at the register couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful! This is a tiny place on A1A so we're not gonna get into ambience. We don't care. There are exactly 3 tables. The food is authentic and delicious. When I'm away from our primary home in Arizona, where Mexican food rules, when I need Mexican food, it has to be right now and it has to be legit. When we were down on vacation a few years ago, we went to the Senor Taco Too on Nova Rd. We were very disappointed that it was closed. We were glad to see that they had another location. We went there one evening for dinner. The place is a little small but they have outdoor seating. So we sat outside. The lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful. We ordered chicken enchiladas and pollo asada. The sauce on the chicken enchiladas seemed to be just puréed tomatoes. And the pollo asada was a little bland. All of the side dishes were just as delicious as we remembered. Hopefully it was just an off night for them. We will give them another try when we are down. read more

If looks deceive, then get ready to be fooled. This little hole in the wall is my new beach day go to spot. First, I love tacos and they didn't disappoint. The beef was seasoned well, the veggies on top were fresh and can be ordered three ways (gringo, Baja or Mexican style). I got lucky and was there on a Friday for the Ropa Vieja special. I feel like I'm on a new "I love tacos" phase. It seems that I keep craving them and I've been on the lookout for a new favorite taco spot. I decided to give Senor Taco a try. I decided to call and place my order over the phone before arriving. Upon arrival, it was easy to find parking in the small lot that is shared with an ice cream shop, massage parlor, and Subway restaurant. I entered the small restaurant and was warmly greeted. The menu is on the wall behind the single cashier. There were a couple tables and the place was clean. When I called on the phone, I asked for a few things like empanadas, but was told that they didn't have them. But, rest assured that they have a variety of other tasty options. I asked for 3 tacos "Mexican Style", but I was a bit disappointed when I noticed the tacos had lettuce, tomato salsa, cheese, and sour cream (Senor Style). Fortunately, I was too hungry to complain and as it turned out, they were very delicious tacos, despite the mix-up. They also offer "California Style", which is cabbage, Baja sauce, and cilantro. The tacos were so delicious that I continued to think about them the next day! I've only tried the tacos, so I can't speak about the other menu items. I've been here several times and I always order the same thing. I order the Chicken Quesadillas. I order that cuz each time I order and eat it here it seems as they perfect it each time. So I order the same thing. Lol It may not look like much in the pic, but it surely packs a punch on taste! It's super cheesy, so yummy (adding it to my cholesterol levels--I don't care) and the chicken just tastes delish as it's "real" chicken. When you know you know! Once I have oder I usually forget to take a pic and post it. This day I took the picture and forgot to yelp it. I took this pic about 3 weeks ago (give or take). As I was looking for another picture, I came across it and I immediately placed the review. Attention to: Señor Taco (at Atlantic Ave/A1A) you guys make the best chicken quesadillas anywhere that I have eaten it in these parts (Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Port Orange including Ormond Beach). I am sure is how you season it, but I bet you not--it also has to do that you are using real breast chicken (none of that processed or rib chicken--yum). I appreciate it and I thank you for not skimping out on the chicken as many others have ‍ done in the area. I get times are tough, things are expensive and cutting things are a must--trust me I understand, but to what cost. You're saving but losing customer. Not sure if it evens out. Idk I don't own a restaurant and very doubtful I ever will. You won't want my food. Lol My bf is the cook in the house. He can but he won't. Anyway, sorry I've drifted off the convo. Had not been to this location before, but the birria tacos and service from the front desk lady were unmatched: the juice that came with the tacos was authentic and the servers were so nice. Several more visits down the line to Daytona and Senor Taco and the man has come around on this place. I wasn't a big fan of it the first few times we visited but last week everything we got here was solid. The best part of this trip was coming offseason on a weekday because there was nobody here. I actually thought they were closed when I first pulled in the parking lot. No cars and no people inside. Chicken Quesadilla-Pork/Chicken Tacos-Chicken/Pork Nachos. Where appropriate, we usually default to Mexican style. To me there isn't a huge difference in the three styles that are offered here but that one translates best in terms of flavor. The one thing that to me is still a bit of a pisser is the Senor Taco. They push it on their menu and a bit when you order at the register but at least to me it's not anything overly noteworthy. This is still not a place that I would go out of my way for, but if you're driving by or staying at one of the many hotels/condos/timeshares across the street it's worth a stop. read more
