. . . I was walking around The Ocean Walk Shops when I saw the sign of this restaurant. It looked good and colorful and so I checked it out. It is located on the second floor. As you walk in the restaurant menu is posted on a board up high. The restaurant has two windows. One for you to place your order and pay. The other one you pick up your order. Inside it's casual. Towards the back, it has a big bar area. . . . I order the street tacos. I got chicken and carne asada. the food came fast. The chicken tacos had a good flavor. The chicken was ground chicken and very dry. It had a sauce but the dryness came through. I did not like it. . . . The carne asada tacos tasted great. The meat was tender and it had a great flavor to it. That meat was delicious. . . . The service was good. The place feels like it's working some things out. It is a new business and I wish them luck.

The most delicious tacos I've had anywhere.

Incredibly delicious tacos a stone throw away from the Daytona Beach Bandshell. This place is a fun place to chill and eat. It's been busy the few times I've been here with longer wait times than id like but.....,I credit this to their really good food, the good Reggae music that they jam and overall positive vibe. Good stuff.

My family and I were in town for the afternoon and happened upon this restaurant. I couldn't quite tell but it seems like maybe they opened recently or were just in the early stages of getting the restaurant up and running. The staff was a bit aloof but SUPER NICE. But it seems like they are juggling a lot of things. We ordered a bunch of different things but I liked the carne asada street taco and the fried shrimp bowl. Was it the best Mexican food I've ever had, no, but it was tasty, not too expensive and it was a nice reprieve from the heat and being on our feet. Plus the it too pricey parking garage across the street is covered and there is skyway beige that leads right to the entrance. We also ordered a couple beers and a huge watermelon daiquiri. The prices for the drinks are not bad at all!

#1 Staff was very friendly and attentive. #2 Absolute worst food I've ever eaten. I don't even mean by Mexican style-wise, but as a general standard. Meat was cold. Tortillas cold and tasted like napkins. There was salad on my tacos for some reason? Shredded cheese? The beans and rice were something maybe from the southern states because black beans and plain white rice isn't Mexican food. I'm honestly not sure if anything was seasoned with anything, not even salt. All the tables had Louisiana Hot Sauce, wtf is that? Hot sauce from Louisiana is not made for tacos, if the restaurant doesn't know the difference then they shouldn't have the Mexican food on the menu. Horrible. Pricey. Both my wife and I left 3/4 of our food in the garbage.

Dahlia was a delight!…read more Stopped in on the way home from the beach for queso and margs and was shocked by the GINORMOUS margarita I was served. I love a good coconut marg, and theirs was $14. I had no idea what was about to come my way but it was HUGE!!!!! The drink was so good (sooo much ice filling that huge glass) but it was fun to get such a big drink. The queso was good too. My husband ordered steak and it had to be sent back for undercooking, but otherwise, it was a really good meal. The service was not responsive. Had to ask for chips, drink refills, and waited a good bit to see the server to tell her to take the steak back to be cooked again. All-in-all, food gets a good nod, but due to the lack of service in a largely empty restaurant, I am giving it 3 stars.

We were pleasantly surprised that they were able to seat our whole group, at one long table, without any wait. The restaurant itself is a lot larger inside than it appears from the outside, with plenty of seating. I ordered a house margarita, which was good, and substantially sized. The chips and salsa were tasty, and with as large of a table as we had, they refreshed them for us, which was great. For dinner, I had the pollo poblano, a chicken dish that comes with mushroom and spinach stuffed chicken, rice, and they kindly switched out the black bean puree for vegetables. Overall, the meal was good, but surprisingly not super flavorful.

I took advantage of the La Parrilla Louie lunch special, which was a ginormous portion half of which I took home for an additional meal. My wife had the pineapple Al Pastor and the Americana tacos with Spanish rice and black beans. The Al Pastor was much tastier than the Americana so next time she'll order two of the Al Pastors. The service was great and a really nice atmosphere in this restaurant. It is right across the street from the Daytona speedway. Also, an incredible value as their prices are really fair.

At first the staff member informed me that they only have these during the week, but after further discussion she explained to me that yes, they still have the happy hour specials on the weekend from 2pm-5pm, nice! Surprisingly, for a Saturday at 4pm, this restaurant was actually slow. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server shortly after. We just wanted to order a few appetizers and a drink to share so we went with the Fro-Jo-Rita ($3.99), two orders of Taquitos ($4.49), the Guacamole ($4.49), and the Mexican Street Corn ($4.99). I highly recommend stopping in during happy hour to save beaucoup $$$$$. Our $40 something meal just turned into a $29.91 minus tip, great deal! I have to mention that since our last visit some of the appetizers have been removed from the happy hour deals, empanadas being one of them. Our food was out in record time. I went to the restroom to wash my hands shortly after placing the order and the appetizers were already arriving, wow! The food was delicious like we remember it; however, some of the taquito chicken was a bit dry, mostly on the ends, I take that into consideration since it is deep fried; regardless, there is plenty of sauce to go around to jazz it back up as needed. We were pretty much stuffed to the gills when we finished these appetizers, so no complaining here. Our server, Cammie, was super friendly and personable, she took great care of us during our visit. The restaurant is still as beautiful inside as we remember it, but this time around a happened to notice how gorgeous the bar top is. The bartender informed me that all the cards that are Epoxy Resin sealed into the bar are from Mexico, and that this is one of the last Cantina Louie stores this work was performed in. The Artists who performed this work has done all of the bar tops for every Cantina Louie since inception, which is pretty amazing to learn. I would mention that my only complaint this time around is that the chips that came with the chips and salsa were not warmed before delivery. I could tell they were freshly cooked that day but they were sent our room temp. Not the biggest complaint especially since we asked Cammie if she could bring out the second basket warmed, which she did. If you are looking for an affordable meal while shopping in the area, I highly recommend checking out Cantina Louie, especially during happy hour. We will be back!
