Due to medical reasons along with moving states, I no longer opt to get filler and I am physically unable to get there. They will not give me my money back. No "fault" of their own... "policies" etc... However, as a small business owner myself, unique situations have to be considered. If a customer literally moved states and could not medically get said procedure anymore, I would personally give them their money back. Especially for such a significant amount of money... Immediately after being injected with lip dissolver, not only did my lips swell to a frightening size, but my entire face swelled up. The reaction was so severe it bordered on anaphylactic shock. A week later, I broke out in hives that lasted for over nine weeks. On top of that, I experienced symptoms resembling Bell's palsy. Because of this, I had to take time off both work and school while I saw multiple doctors, got bloodwork done, and even visited an allergist. Other reputable med spa providers I consulted with were shocked when I mentioned the business name. Multiple people instantly replied with, "Oh, Kim Burke." Each of them warned me that she has a bad reputation, with consistent feedback being that her customer service is awful and that she only cares about money, not her patients' wellbeing. Several providers suggested my reaction could have been due to the product being mixed improperly, injected incorrectly, being from a bad batch, expired product, or even something as serious as a dirty needle. When I requested a refund, Kim Burke completely dismissed me, refused to take responsibility, she stopped answering my phone calls and claimed none of my reactions were connected to the injection--even though the swelling and dangerous side effects started immediately after treatment. She even tried to blame it on "bee stings." For the record, I got allergy tested during this nightmare, and I'm not allergic to bees. Another provider asked if this med spa had the vial tested at a lab (which they are supposed to do if something is reported), but I was never informed of any testing or follow-up whatsoever. This entire ordeal has been traumatic, stressful, and unsafe. The dissolver clearly didn't work, and I suffered serious health consequences as a result. The way I was treated afterward makes it even worse. Kim Burke is a poor representation of professionalism or empathy and absolutely cannot take responsibility for her mistakes. This business is careless, dismissive, and dangerous. Please save yourself the hassle and time and DO NOT GO HERE. They should not be practicing. Terrible place.

A phone call when I booked the appointment a month ago would have the appropriate way to handle it, at the very least, a few days ago when I asked if someone else was available, but certainly not on the day of my appointment.
