If you have a travelzoo voucher- be prepared to pay ALL the tasting fees even though it's clear on the voucher that they are included. They try to get around it by saying the fee will be taken off wine purchased, but that was only the case with one of the wineries we went to. Of course they didn't tell us this until we were getting in the limo in San Francisco. Rather than make the situation uncomfortable for my friends, I just decided to roll with it. It was horribly embarrassing. 8 of us unnecessarily paid $10 each for tastings at 3 different wineries, and we totally weren't prepared for that. If your driver is Ned do not even go on the trip. When he dropped us off in San Francisco he demanded a $172 tip, and would not take anything else. He said that was a mandatory fee for gratuity, and that was not listed anywhere on the voucher. My husband offered him $120 (which I did not agree with at all), and he said no. He kept trying to strongarm us into paying $172. We were so scared, we were seconds away from calling the police. Besides having to pay tasting fees at wineries which were supposed to be included, the driver was trying to intimidate us into tipping $172? We called Alex, and Alex asked us to put Ned on the phone. By this time we were so scared and uncomfortable, we just walked away. It was a total disaster. Ned then called my cell phone and my husbands phone screaming at us calling us cowards for stiffing him. I'm sorry but we offered you $120 and that wasnt enough. No one tried to stiff him, but you get what you get especially when the voucher clearly included false advertising. I have written Travelzoo a complaint, and I encourage everyone this happens to to do so as well. So, this review is really 2.5 stars, which is an average of the driver, Lester, getting 5 stars, and the customer service/truth in advertising for the company and its owner, Alex, getting ZERO stars. Almost negative stars. I purchased a TravelZoo voucher for this limo service for a discounted Sonoma Wine Tour. It clearly stated on the voucher that the day would include 6 hours of limo service stopping at 4 predetermined wineries INCLUDING TASTINGS, SNACKS, a bottle of sparkling wine, and bridge toll. The trip started off great, with a nice greeting from Lester and two (halfway decent) bottles of sparkling wine since our limo was full. But! We got to the first winery and our tasting was NOT by any means included. Although it wasn't expensive, the fact that the voucher clearly stated the tastings were included was not very fair to any of the customers. We called Alex, the owner of the business, and he didn't really seem to understand our disappointment. He said the tastings are free "IF YOU BUY A BOTTLE OF WINE." Really??? So we each have to buy a bottle of wine at each of the four wineries to get the value of our voucher? How come it didn't say that ON the voucher? We asked him kindly for a refund for the costs of the tastings, and he said that was absolutely not an option. He actually said he didn't care if we were all disappointed in the way the business is run because he "knows how to run a business." He did offer us an additional 2 hours in the limo, but that wasn't really the point. We all would have been prepared and accepting of the additional costs had we been informed (or at least not lied to) before buying the voucher. Also, there were no snacks in the limo. LIES LIES LIES. Based on the pure beauty of Sonoma and tastiness of their wines, this tour was still lots of fun. Just be prepared to pay more than you were told you would. read more

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. You would expect that a Limo service, like a cab service, would be able to get from point A to point B without totally losing their tempers- this was not the case with SFC. I mean, our directions were not hard: go from Occidental to a few well-known wineries in Russian River valley. And we were a very polite company to drive around- no swearing or yelling - nope, it was the driver that was the rowdy one. In fact, most people on our trip thought the driver was intoxicated when he showed up- which would have explained his erratic behavior and driving. They hit the right notes for everything you'd expect a good limo service to provide - professional, punctual /on time service, comfortable, clean cars that offer a smooth ride... it's like you're gliding to your destination and you're free to relax, or to have fun and enjoy the ride. I too purchased the Groupon Deal. (Great deal by the way). Myself and 5 friends took the Sonoma Wine Tour offered, as we knew little about the coastal wines. We had a fantastic time! Our driver was Lester. He couldn't have been more knowledgable about the area or which wineries to take us to. He even recommended two that were a little off the beaten path but produced both incredible wines and stunning views. Lester completely made the trip for us! It was like having your Uncle take you on a roadtrip...pointing out "Giant Balls of Twine" and The Worlds Largest Stuffed Squirrel"! ( both of which I have seen...with my Uncle) On the way back to the City, Lester even recommended a place for dinner and called and got us in. Very impressive. I highly recommend SFC Limo for this deal or anytime you want Professional and Courteous service. If you can, request Lester. You won't be disappointed. read more

A friend had booked with them and was in contact, so I reached out for an additional date. I reached out 4 separate times via different channels. Not a single response. BAD BUSINESS. When I had the friend in contact check on the date, they responded right away saying they were unavailable. The least you could do is respond to one of my many inquiries saying that they are not available that day. Add me to the list of people who used the travelzoo voucher and was not provided with the promised experience. My best friend arranged our trip back in february when the deal was purchased and followed up with SFC limos a few days before the excursion to go over the details and make sure we were all on the same page. At this point in time, everything was still great according to the company. 3 included tastings, and we could stop anywhere else we wanted within the time allotted. Great! Fast forward to the day of our event. As we were getting into the limo, we ask about how we go about telling the wineries that we are with a pre-paid group and the driver says " Oh actually the wineries are all backing out of the deal so you have to pay for tastings. Sorry." In an effort to try and salvage the day, my best friend and I decide to just roll with it, and deal with travelzoo and the company later. We were celebrating her birthday and my anniversary and didn't want to ruin a day we had been looking forward to for months. The claims to the effect of saying that tastings are free if you buy a bottle isn't some big secret. Anybody who has been wine tasting more than once knows that most tasting fees are waived if you buy a bottle. This is not some concept that was unique to this "deal". One fee/bottle purchased is the most common. This was true of two of the wineries we visited. I should also note that we did not visit a single winery that was listed on the travelzoo deal. Lets talk about the limo itself for a minute. The only part of the deal that was honored was having two bottles of sparkling wine given to us. It was one of the cheapest brands on the market (Barefoot), and tasted like crap, but the two bottles were there. The snacks mentioned in the voucher were not present. The seats were cracked and there were nasty smudge marks all over the ceiling. The cabin temperature was so miserably hot that we were uncomfortable being inside. I've never been in a limo before that was this shoddy. I would bet that they use this limo specifically for the other poor souls who purchased this deal. And now for the grand finale. We arrive back in San Francisco and are all exiting the vehicle getting our things together. Our driver, Ned comes over and tells us that we owe him $172 for his tip. I will preface this next part by saying that I was a server for 6 years and a bartender for 2 years. I DO NOT punish the person providing the service because I am upset with the company who sold it. However, that being said I was not going to tip on an amount that was unreasonable. We deducted the $240 from the "value" of the deal based on the amount we paid in wine tasting at 3 wineries that were supposed to be included. 20% of that amount brought us to $120 for the tip which I felt was generous given the fact that our driver did nothing above and beyond to make our day special. He refused the $120 and said we were required to give him nothing less than $172. I told him that gratuities are at the discretion of the customer and that he either take the $120 or we would walk away. I went into the ferry building to call SFC limos and they hung up on me when I was asking why their driver was strongarming us into paying more than we thought appropriate for a tip. He began calling our cell phones making violent threats of kicking our a**, and one very colorful description of what he wanted to do to my mother. We nearly called the police as we legitimately feared for our safety. I am sorry we ever came across this deal and would never associate with this company again. I ended up doing some research after the fact and discovered that $861 value is nowhere even close to the industry rate for this service. Nothing about this voucher was a "deal." read more

Unfortunately I have a one star review for SFC Limo company. I hate giving bad reviews but I also hate feeling cheated and disrespected, so here goes... Last Saturday was a birthday limo trip to Napa for my friend. We were all at her apartment in Walnut Creek at 8:30 AM ready to be picked up at 8:45 AM by our limo driver. However the driver, Antonio, didn't arrive till 9 AM and he didn't know who he was supposed to be picking up. Immediately before he even knew if we were the right group or not, he demanded $180 upfront before he would leave. My friend was confused because she paid in full using a Groupon which the terms of the Groupon didn't state any other fees to be collected at the time of the trip. After discussion he dropped $180 issue and we all got in the limo and began the trip. The Groupon stated we would get complementary bottles of champagne to sip in the limo on the way to Napa; however, Antonio did not provide these. On the way up to Napa Antonio was driving recklessly and couldn't control the gas to make it a smooth ride. That's when members of our party began to get motion sickness from his driving. There was even one point where he almost hit another limo because he pulled out in front of them which scared some of our passengers. At one of the first stops one member of our party asked Antonio to drive a little slower because people were starting to get sick in the back which we thought would fix the problem. However, later in the day one of our passengers actually threw up three times because of the motion sickness. And to be honest the passenger who threw up was the one who drank the least amount of alcohol of everybody in the party. At the end of the trip Antonio arrived back at my friends apartment in Walnut Creek to drop us off. We all get out of the limo and my friend hands him $120 as a tip however she specifically states that she is giving him a lesser tip because of his reckless driving, him being late to pick us up, him not knowing who he was picking up, and because he didn't provide the complementary bottles of champagne which were promised in the Groupon. Antonio began to get very upset and irate with my friend and her boyfriend because of his tip. He kept saying that we owed him $180. My friend explained that we paid in full and she was only giving him $120 as a tip because of the poor service we received during our trip. Antonio began to get violent and get close up to my friends face and started yelling "fuck all of you!" We ended up having to tell Antonio that if he didn't leave we would be calling the police on him. Since the trip my friend has attempted to contact the management of this company but they have been unresponsive. I hope no one else ever has to go through this and experience the poor service of this limo company. Do yourself a favor and pick a company with a five star review instead of this one. read more

I'm surprised that this place has gotten good reviews. I had a Pinchit deal for this limo service, and I wanted to set up a day for a close friend's birthday. I called far in advance (2-3 months) to make sure that I could reserve the day of her birthday in January. The guy took my name and number down, and said I was all set. Nothing official, which made me a little nervous, since most other companies would take a lot more information and send you a written contract via email. I called back closer to the time to confirm, and they did have my reservation, whew. The guy called me to go over more of the details about a week in advance, so I took that to be a good sign. On the morning-of, the limo was supposed to arrive at 10am. I got a call at 8:40am saying that it was on its way, so I thought "Great!". But at 10am, no limo...I called but couldn't get through...several more calls later, I finally reached someone at about 10:15am. He said that there was a problem with the limo (a problem that didn't surface until exactly the time it was supposed to pick us up??), and that they'd have another one to us by 11am. ONE HOUR LATE. I hate to complain about such a privilege as being able to go on an awesome wine day to Napa...but when you're paying a lot of money for a service, have done your due diligence to make sure that everything is set up, have 8 people counting on you, AND have a reservation for a once-a-year special birthday lunch at a nice restaurant, then this is really unacceptable. The guy said that he could have another car to us within 15 minutes. Ok, not ideal, but since that sounded like the best option at that point, we'd take it. Of course, 15 minutes ended up being half an hour, so the limo was 45 minutes late in all. We were half an hour late for our lunch reservation - fortunately they were still able to accommodate us, but it was a stressful ride there, instead of what should have been an enjoyable and relaxing ride. Even worse than being 45 minutes late: the limo driver who did finally show up was incredibly rude. This could have been their chance to make up for what was a big mistake on their part, but instead, the guy made it sound as thought we were the ones inconveniencing him. And we were incredibly polite throughout this whole thing. I'm not even sure what the name of this guy was, since when I introduced myself when he arrived, he just said "hey". He got us from point A to point B (and point C and point D), but he did not make it a pleasant experience. I would never use this service again, even if it were 90% off. I'd rather pay full-price for a better company that will show up on time and be friendly and helpful. So hard to come up with a rating that actually conveys what happened. My friend and I bought the travelzoo voucher for the Sonoma wine tasting limo tour. Our driver, Lester, was awesome, he was very kind and drove us around with precision and gave us a time to be back at the limo at each stop. We had a fun full group and had a great time. However!, (isn't there always a but) the voucher said the tour included tasting fees at predetermined wineries and snacks in the limo. We came ill prepared for reality. There were no snacks (although there was water) and the "champagne" that was listed (although I'm not really sure what to call the bottles that were there). Meh, whatever at this point we were going wine tasting and having a good time. First winery stop, was beautiful and picturesque, that's where reality set in and we experienced a not included wine tasting fee. We asked our driver about this and he said I'm sorry but I can do nothing you need to call my boss, Alex. Which we did, he (Alex) basically told us that if we bought a bottle of wine the tastings were included. Um...so how is that included in the voucher? He basically went on to tell us that he did not see anything wrong in the wording of the voucher we bought, and he was not prepared to compensate us for the what he saw as no error of his ways. After several of our group spoke to Alex he finally said well I'll give you 2 more hours in the limo. Well that's really nice, but not at all what the voucher said. He was not prepared to compensate us in any way, really. We chucked our losses at this point, still had a great time because we had a good group and driver. BUT if you purchased the voucher and are prepared to use it, keep in mind there are no snacks (bring some trust me!) and tasting fees are not included. I am planning another outing and trust me I will NOT be using this service again! read more

I just returned from my Groupon trip with my family. Unlike Jori's experience, we had Alex drive us around for our 8 amazing hours. I had emailed him my itinerary the night before which I thought was genius :) Alex said he'd be at my house on time and he was early with the door open ready for us. I asked him if he needed anything from me, and he said he had everything all worked out. I was able to enjoy my entire day with my family, and he got us everywhere we wanted to go and more!!! We had a little adventure where we left a wallet at one of the wineries, and he went back to get it for us. We used SFC Limo earlier this month go to from San Francisco to Santana Row in a town car. It made such a huge difference not having to worry about traffic or getting there on time. Our driver, Alex, was 10 minutes early and had a lot of patience when I was running a little late. He was really friendly and knowledgable about the Bay Area so we were asking him questions. We set a time to meet up and he was right there waiting for us to drive us back to SF. I would definitely use this service again to go anywhere around the Bay Area. I first used SFC Limo with a Groupon in March 2012. Since then, I book them for all my airport transportation, transport to football game at Candlestick Park and a wine tour in Livermore. For the past year, I have booked for 2 trips back/forth to San Francisco Airport In the bay area. They are reasonably priced and easy to book (just text!). I won't use anyone else. Alex, and all his drivers are on time and professional. The cars and limo are clean and comfortable. I am disappointed with the other reviews on this site. BEWARE. We had a Groupon for this Limo service that we redeemed for a group of gals to go wine tasting and it could not have been a bigger disaster. The driver's name was Lester and 15 minutes into the trip he got lost. Which in itself is not the end of the world (though certainly, you would expect a professional limo company to have reliable GPS equipment) but he completely lost his temper, was swearing, wouldn't accept any help from us with directions, and then said he didn't want to "deal with us" for the rest of the day and wanted to turn around and take us home. We ended up calling the company and working out an arrangement, but I would never book with them again. It's not just a business that you expect to be courteous and professional. It's a business that is driving you around without seatbelts. I would never put my life, or the lives of 10 of my close friends, in their hands again. read more

My friends and I recently purchased this as a TravelZoo deal for a trip we were planning to San Francisco. We were very excited and really looked forward to this experience. I have purchased several other deals without issue, but SFC Limo has been a nightmare to work with. Shorty after purchasing the voucher, I called SFC Limo to reserve our excursion. I wanted to call well in advance, since we were only going to be able to go on either June 9 or June 10. The company took my information and explained that they like to send the limo with at least 5 people (we had 3), but not to worry since we would go regardless (in a town car, if it was just us 3). I did explain we were only in town for the weekend and he assured me not to worry. About a month later, I called to confirm the reservation and they told me that another couple was added to the ride, but now they were waiting for at least 2 more people, for a full limo. They said to call in another week to confirm. I called a week later (less than 1 week from our trip) and he told me that we couldn't go because the limo was not full, that the other couple had canceled. He offered to take us in a town car instead, which I accepted. He then proceeded to tell me that we would have to pay an extra $100-200 for the trip, plus an additional tip to the driver, since the town car was not part of the "deal" and he would have to pay the driver extra to take just the 3 of us. He and I went back and forth for probably 10 minutes, but he was being completely unreasonable. After talking with my group, I decided that trying to get a refund would be best. Since SFC Limo was giving us such a hassle we did not trust them to try to resolve the issue and I was not willing to pay over and above the amount on our voucher (except for the regular tip for the driver). I would like to point out that no where on the voucher or fine print it says the limo must be full. Additionally, they had availability but refused our reservations. Terms and Conditions: Vouchers can be redeemed starting Tuesday, Feb. 28, through March 5, 2013. Reservations are required and are subject to availability; must be made 24 hours in advance. Reservations are made directly through SFC Limo; do not contact individual wineries. Tours can also be customized to visit specific wineries in the area (tasting fees not included). Voucher is subject to forfeiture if you cancel or reschedule your reservation with less than 24 hours' notice. The full hourly rate applies past 6 hours. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Must be used in 1 visit. Gratuity is not included. Must be 21 years old or older to use this deal. Luckily, TravelZoo employees helped us all get a refund for our vouchers. However, they never sent any sort of confirmation so today we call and they say that they have never talked to us before (even though that it utterly untrue), never had our reservation, and have no limos available - all days before prom. I would never, ever, ever recommend this company to ANYONE. We were treated horribly, which just reflects on their poor customer service. I'm shocked it has any positive reviews at all. My opinion? Alex is phenomenal! Not only do they show up on time, they provide a service that no one else does in the entire bay area. They will allow you to rent a limo for an hour instead of three hours like every other town car limo service. When you are working with a budget but still want to have some of those fun special touches SFC Limo is the way to go. It was a huge relief to be able to rent the limo for the amount of time we wanted without having to pay for time we wouldn't even be using it. We rented a stretch limo to take my bridesmaids and myself to the wedding (which was approximately 15 minutes away) and a town car to pick me and my husband up from the wedding. Alex was fantastic! When my husband left his phone in the car Alex offered to drive it to our apartment to drop it off. I would never use another limo service! read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. I wish I would have seen the ratings before we used the travel zoo voucher. Definitely got screwed over big time. In addition to paying for two of the three wineries, we had no snacks. Limo was dirty, driver was HORRIBLE, he didn't tell us where we were going. When we finally got back we decided to give him a small tip. I was part of a group of 4 and there were another group of 4 with us. We agreed on $10/person, ( which I personally thought was way too generous). We hand the driver the money and he stops us and says it's a minimum 20% from the original price. We were each required to pay $25 each. We didn't have the cash handy being that a tip is given based on the drivers work. We ended up giving him $20/person. According to the driver Ned it was MANDATORY. No where in the paper did it state this. I will be making a formal complaint with the company and with Travelzoo. read more
