This little hot sauce shop is well worth seeking out. They have a huge variety, including some local goodies. All hot sauce bottles have stickers that note the spiciness level 1-10 so you know what you're getting into. The prices are clearly marked which I also appreciate. There are plenty of options and flavors at all heat levels. I came here seeking chimichurri sauce (the one in my photo is really excellent) and left with a bag of hot sauces and spicy olives too. I have tried four of the sauces so far and discovered a new favorite that I now put on everything (kiwi jalapeno!). The person at the desk was friendly and helpful in talking about the different brands - very important, since the large wall of sauces can be a bit intimidating at first. The store is small and can feel crowded quickly if there are more than a few people there at a time. I felt comfortable taking my time and reading every bottle before deciding. I will definitely be back. There was easy street parking out front, then walk around the side of the building - the door is not super well marked but you'll see the sauces through the window when you are in front of it. read more

What a phenomenal find. I can't remember who initially told me about this store but I am so glad they did. It's about a 30-minute drive for me and it's completely worth it. The selection is wide-ranging, including many of my favorite sauces, as well as variety for some of my favorite brands that I didn't even know existed. There are also brands here that I haven't seen anywhere else. I love how clearly all the bottles are labeled with heat rating and price. It makes shopping/comparing so much simpler. I also have loved all the recommendations that I've gotten. Everyone's palate and preferences are different - so being able to say I'm looking for this or I liked/didn't like these other ones and then getting customized recommendations from there really brings your hot sauce shopping experience to another level. Can't recommend stopping in enough. And don't worry - if you're not into *hot* sauces, there are lots of flavors and levels. So there's definitely something for everyone. Do you want to buy hot sauces and olives and cheese without being pestered by an overbearing pestering shop owner who will regurgitate his personal political views at you while you shop / pet the dog that's allowed in the store? Well keep looking. I was TRYING to buy local and support this guy's business and give him my money but he was more interested in talking politics. Doesn't matter whether I agree or disagree with him, I'm just there to buy spicy food, not get a dramatic reenactment of the cable news. It's a small shop with a chalkboard directing you into the alley to find the entrance, the product selection is really good for the small space although somehow even that manages to be political. I was actually in the process of buying one of those political products when the owner decided they could tell me their deepest thoughts on politics and pandemics. There's a dog in the store, that's worth a star. A small local hot sauce shop should be a great attraction IF the signage is there (you have to walk past a restaurant through an alley and in the back you'll find this place.) and if the owner gets out of his own way. read more

Awesome store with great variety of hot sauces from all over the world. The owner was very kind and helpful. He let us try some sauces beginning grade 5 up to 10. We've been scared of trying a 10++ (hottest grade, which he always eats for lunch ) He was also very helpful in giving recommendation what to do near Niagara Falls and he recommended the Ice Cream in Silo Restaurant which we tried afterwards. I love hot sauce. How some people are about wine, I am about sauce. It's not just about heat, but also the flavors and combinations that make a sauce pop. I have about 30 in my fridge and about 40 more in my cupboard... so short story long, this place is like heaven to me. They have a great variety of sauces, especially for such a small shop. The prices we a little high in comparison to what I usually pay, but not so much that I wouldn't come back here(about $1 more a bottle). The shop owner was great and enjoyable to talk to. He also made really good and thoughtful suggestions based off of my sauce preferences. They do have a table of tasters if you want to try before you buy. Not in to hot sauce? They also have olive oils, cheeses and a couple of other things. I bought some cheese and wasn't disappointed by that either. I like the shop, product and owner; I'll be back. read more

What a great shop! While my wife has shopped there several times for me, I made the trip with her this time. Neil was very friendly and helpful!
