I ordered the lemon panko chicken with a side mac and cheese. It came with a wedge salad.. good thing we asked the waitress what dressing came with the salad she said ranch well wedge salad usually come with blue cheese so I ordered the blue cheese. I cut into the wedge salad and half of the salad slipped off the plate and flew onto the floor nothing was done so I ended up picking it up with a napkin and putting it on a plate. The chicken was over cooked and the panko breading looked burnt. The side off of broccolini was dry and unseasoned. The waitress wasn't too knowledgeable about the menu. Not sure why the decision was made to close Gallo and open Gather, regardless, no comparison. We ordered quite a few things off the menu and can honestly say, not one would bring us back. We'll patiently wait for Gallo to open back up, until then we'll need to go elsewhere. read more

Me and my fiancé came here for date night a few weeks ago and really enjoyed walking around Lewiston and ending our night with dinner here. We really enjoyed the pretzel charcuterie, prime rib, and salmon. Everything was flavorful and fresh. read more

Love this restaurant by Gallo. The host was so accommodating especially on such a busy Friday night in the village. The restaurant was very clean and I like the ambiance. There were screens at the bar promoting social distancing and everyone wore mask, including staff. The food was amazing and came out in a timely fashion. My fave was the clam in a vinegar sauce yum! The Belgian waffle desert was so delicious and big enough to share. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Great restaurant around Lewiston to grab dinner. Got some gift card for this place so we decided to visit. Placed a reservation for 7:30 because it was a little busy during weekends. Inside looks decorative and cozy with pretty nice decorations. Server was friendly and helpful, helped us clear our doubts on the food. We started with a bottle of wine and pierogis for our appetizer. Then we ordered fish & chips from the special menu and grilled chicken Ceasar salad with a bowl of French onion soup. After a very fun and busy day in Lewiston ( hike, whirlpool jet boat tours) we worked up quite an appetite. After walking up and down Center, I was drawn to the menu at gather. Both outdoor and indoor seating, we chose a table outdoors as it was a beautiful day. Our server was very nice, and answered all questions politely . Extensive wine , beer and whiskey list at reasonable prices . Very intriguing menu options. I will definitely have to go back and try some others . We started with the crab cakes ( made with real blue crab) they were delicious. My dining partner ordered the special , Nashville hot chicken . The chicken was battered with a potato chip coating, it was delicious. I ordered the asparagus / ricotta/ goat cheese flat bread with steak. If I could give this place zero stars I would. They say they have a new chef and menu so we go there tonight and we were greeted and seated and the girl that seated us put down two menus didn't say a word and walked away. We looked at the menus and they were holiday menus very small not at all the new menu we saw online. We waited a few mins nobody came to the table we left. No excuses this place has terrible service and it's never busy and the girls that work there were standing behind the bar talking and acted as if we didn't even exist. Do not go to this place we have given them plenty of chances and they keep failing. I expect this place to be closed within the next year. read more

We usually have reservations for dinner on Friday evenings and we usually head into Buffalo or Amherst. This past Friday we were shopping at the outlet in the Falls and hadn't made dinner reservations. We decided to check the Village of Lewiston to see if we could find somewhere for dinner. Upon arriving in the village Center Street was bustling with life. There were many restaurants to choose from and people walking up and down. On street parking was occasionally available and I found a spot across from Gathering. We could see patrons sitting at tables in front and decided to see if we could get a table. Upon entering we were promptly greeted by a very friendly hostess and provided a table inside. Our server (Hailey) quickly came to our table to inquire about beverages and provided information about their menu. We started out by sharing a spinach and artichoke flatbread. I like my food hot and this obviously just came right out of the oven with no delay before arriving at our table. It was very good. The crust was perfectly toasted which added to the overall flavor. I commented to Hailey how pleased I was and about it being at a temperature to my liking. She obviously paid attention because when our meals arrived they too were piping hot and she commented on having to return with one of my sides as she had brought our entrees right out so that they were hot like I preferred. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli and commented on how much she enjoyed it. It looked quite good. I chose the glazed salmon. This dish came with a choice of two sides. I chose mashed sweet potatoes and they let me get a side salad instead of any of their other choices. My entire meal was perfect. I really enjoyed the salmon. The mashed sweet potatoes were very good. I chose their homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing for my salad and found it to be quite good. We were both very pleased with our meals and happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant. Hailey our server was a delight. She was very friendly and helpful with our menu and drink choices. She more than just served our meals. She always had a few friendly words when coming to our table and made sure everything was to our liking. We found the ambiance to be perfect. We came to the conclusion to describe it as "upscale casual." The place had a very nice vibe to it. The walls were decorated with artwork. The other patrons talking didn't make it so loud that we couldn't hear each other. We will definitely return here as well as checking out a few of the other nearby restaurants. After dinner we continued to enjoy our evening with a stroll up and down Center Street, an added benefit of dining here. read more

Don't bother! Ordered French onion soup at 7pm. Response: "so sorry we ran out" (at 7pm??). I ordered the Carbonara. Response: "so sorry, we're out." Fouiout of five in our party receive dinner, the fifth is told, "there was a mix up in the kitchen, you food will be out in a minute." We are nearly finished with our meals when the Po' Boy Swordfish sandwich comes out. Give me a break. Food taste was OK but in total the experience was poor. Second visit equally as bad as the first! I ordered the asparagus/goat cheese flat bread drizzled with balsamic. Now doesn't tgat sound decadent? It was anything but! A piece of flatbread literally covered in goat cheeses with two pieces of asparagus and balsamic glaze dripped across the top. I could have made this myself. I took one bite and instantly disliked it. The waitress did not check with us at anytime and when she did return to collect our plates mine was still full. I told her I did not eat mine I really did not care for it. No apologies, no questions, no taking off the bill, no offering anything else. My partner had a sandwich , very basic and extremely runny....,,could have used more napkins but we didn't see her again, not for a second round of drinks or anything else Lewiston deserves better! read more

Saturday afternoon we did not have a reservation but were seated and waited on immediately. Order the Seafood Delight. It was delicious. Would recommend trying it. Well worth it. read more
