Ok. I have been shopping Wegmans for decades. The store on Military Rd Niagara Falls, NY for eight years. No more. Today I bought dates. Wegmans always had fresh ones. Lately a few hard ones. Today, everyone in the package was hard. Tossed them. Last week, grapes. When I got home to rinse them off, the grapes were mixed with fresh and with old soggy ones. Smh. Weeks ago the store was a bit different as some sections housing products that were vegan, gluten-free, etc, were empty as they made a big move. Now we are seeing the results of the move: Not only more shelves and freezers of such products, BUT with more varieties! We applaud Wegmans trying to carry more healthier alternative products that people might want to investigate and possibly purchase in their near future! That considered, they still DO sell all the fast and junk food which will kill you faster than quick, or get you fast and living in a hospital quick enough!! read more

This ended up working out very well for our trip to Niagara Falls. We are renting a house and needed some groceries for breakfast. I had no idea that they had storebrand meat of such quality at this place. The aisles are a little tight, but if you keep your head on a swivel you'll figure outwhat's where. Love this store. I really enjoy the variety of foods that are offered here. I can really appreciate the hot good options after a busy day at work. I love the options for self checkout, especially when I'm busy, and I just want to run in and our. It's nice to know they have certain items that are hard to find elsewhere at the lowest price. I will say that over the years, customer service has gone down quite a bit. It's hard to find assistance in the 5 the customer service desk is great. I had a small issue today where I was profiled by an employee working the front end. Brook walked over to where I was scanning my groceries at the self check-out. She was extremely awkward and made me super uncomfortable. I've never had an experience like that in there before and it was absolutely devastated. I hope it was just the individual and not the store but it was so heartbreaking. read more

Why are teens making soggy subs. Squeezing out olIves and banana peppers by the fistfuls? And not filling up the lettuce pan and scraping mayo from an empty pan. Those girls need retraining. Wegmans is a local grocery store chain. I really do like it better than Tops, however, Tops is on grand island where I live, soooo, I don't get to Wegmans as much as I would like. Normal grocery store with full service deli, bakery, etc. It's very similar to Albertsons (if you know what Albertsons is). Or maybe you're more familiar with Publix? I do the weekly shopping for our household. There are two locations of their major competitors closer to me but I still choose to shop at Wegmans. I think that many have the misconception that they are more expensive but I find that their prices to be much cheaper than their next major competitor in WNY. I shop for both my mother and myself. For convenience reasons I shop for my mother at their competitor while she is at a monthly doctor visit. Doing this gives me a first hand look at the price differences. On occasion I've been appalled at how much more an item can be at the other store. I've found Wegman's to be very responsive to customer comments. I've had two occasions to correspond with them and on both occasions my concern's were immediately addressed. One time I commented about a BBQ rub that had been absent from their shelf for several weeks. Their distributor contacted me withing a few days of my E-mail and insured the product would be back on the shelf and offered to hold some of the product aside for me. Their produce is very fresh and their choices are plentiful. They have a large selection of organic produce as well as non organic. Their produce employees are always working diligently to keep the shelves stocked and are available to answer questions. On my last trip a fresh herb I was looking for was empty. I approached an employee who immediately apologized and returned within a few minutes with a fresh box and let me choose before she restocked the shelf. Her overall response and demeanor was what inspired me to write about my Wegmans shopping experiences. I like to put a cheese board out when entertaining. Wegmans cheese department is amazing. Wegmans has their own climate controlled cheese caves in Rochester, designed to replicate European suppliers' aging techniques. This gives an amazing assortment of the freshest available cheeses to choose from. I really enjoy seeing my guests indulging on the varieties of cheeses I've put out for them. Their staff in the cheese department is very knowledgeable too. I've asked for recommendations at various times and they've always come up with awesome choices. They've let me sample the cheeses to confirm it's what I want. They have an awesome bakery with many tempting choices. I will occasionally get something to serve for dessert on Sunday when my children and grandson come for dinner or when entertaining friends. Everything I've tried has been a hit. DiCamillo bread is very popular in some areas of WNY, in particular Niagara Falls where the DiCamillo bakery originated. I used to make a separate stop at the DiCamillo bakery to get a loaf of Italian Bread. That was until I realized the Niagara Falls Wegmans sold it. Frequently I've gotten a loaf so fresh that it is still warm. I think that their biggest asset is their employees. I'm there on a weekly basis and have had several interactions with various employees. All of them have been professional and cheerful when dealing with me. If you ask where something is you get more than "It's in isle X", they take you to the item to insure you find it. Shopping can be a chore but shopping at Wegmans makes it less of one and can even be enjoyable. read more

Wegmans is the Spot! The staff are always friendly everything here is guaranteed fresh, they offer so many variety of products even down to their own line of products. The prices are somewhat reasonable depending on what your preferences are. I'm a huge fan of the subs they offer, as well as the little premade meals they have prepared. The big soft baked cookies they sell are also delicious. Wegmans is and will always be my favorite. Definitely recommend hitting up a wegmans for so guaranteed fresh food and good service. read more

I find myself coming here every now and then for some products. I'm a fan of their carbonated fizzy drinks, the La Croix style ones. Ginger is probably one of the flavors I like. The fresh produce here is consistently good as well, but on the pricier side compared to store's like Aldi's. There's been a number of times I've gone here for specific items, that although available at other stores, were not available here. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of HUGE grocery stores and like the smaller ones. Wegmans has been doing a great job during COVID-19 though and keeping everyone safe, so I appreciate that and hence the extra star. I do wish they would keep some of their more specialty items more consistently stalked so when I find myself here on the odd occasion I don't go to Aldi's, I find what I'm looking for. read more

Ever since this Wegmans location decided it would no longer be 24/7 I just don't frequent it as often as I used to. This location now opens at 6am and closes at midnight, which are convenient hours for people who don't work all day and get out at midnight. - insert laughing emojis- The layout of this Wegmans is typical, the only thing I don't like it the sub shop, sushi area and the hot bar that's just in the way/ middle of this area. During busy night hours it's a mess trying to properly shop and move out of the way for everyone to come through. Just too much going on in one small area. The seating area isn't very big either. The only reason why I come here is to return bottles right at 6am when they open and that's about it. Kudos to the catering department. I had sushi catered for a small gathering and it was so delicious. The catering department was so helpful and had it ready to be picked up very promptly. read more

I love their TO GO section! Sushi, salad bar, subs, soups.. it's all great! They even have an app now where you can get curbside pickup, delivery, or pickup inside. VERY convenient! Today I decided to grab the avocado summer roll. They are $3.99 and inside is carrots, cucumber, avocado, green leaf lettuce, red cabbage, and then the rice paper. On my continuing visits of all Wegmans I pass, I have now visited this one a few times. Its easy if you are at the Outlet Mall already. Getting into and out of the parking lot here is not easy, go to the entrance with the light, yes, you may wait, but at least you know it will change sometime. Once in the parking lot the parking is OK. There are many Ontario plates here, guess they come after visiting the mall as well. This is a nice Wegmans, but it has super thin aisles. Lots of stuff they are cramming into the space. This results in many many shopping cart traffic jams. They do not have breakfast bar here on weekends. Their market café is not as expansive as some of the others, but that's fine by me. The produce section has been good, if also not as expansive as some others in the area. But they have carried what we were looking for so all good there. The baked goods offered some new choices, which is great. Wegmans does a great job of catering to the different cleintele at each location. Thsi is a fine Wegmans. I would shop here again. But Id try to come early to avoid traffic cart jams. read more

I always g9 to this wegmans and I still think it's the best places for groceries in the area, but in the past few years I have seen a definite decline in the shopping experience. First off the produce area is very hard to move around in. It's extremely crowded and hard t9 move a cart around in, it's the part I dread about shopping. Secondly if I have to go shopping past six at night they are out of everything, basic items that they should have on hand. They don't restock nearly enough throughout the day. Lastly shopping online has been an investing experience. I have has some great instacart people and some not so great. Overall it's been better more then worse so understandable, but the website is horrible for it. It is slow, so slow, so bad I could easily shop quicker in the store then on my computer. They say they are out of things and I have stopped by the store and they have them in stock. Skip the delivery and wear a face mask and brave the store, because the website is that bad. read more

I primarily go to Wegmans for their dairy (eggs, milk, butter and cheese). however on occasion I will pick up other items, that is, until now. I've discovered a pattern. On 3 separate instances, I've purchased flour, corn muffin mix an dry pasta (specifically orecchiette pasta in the sealed paper bag). All 3 of these items have had bugs in them. I have bought flour before and found bugs, threw it out and bought elsewhere because I needed it right away. Afterwards I purchased cornbread mix in the small blue and white box. Same thing, bugs. then today, I opened a new sealed bag of pasta and dumped it in the boiling water. Floaters, looked a little closer and yep, bugs. NO MORE DRY GOODS FROM WEGMANS FOR ME! read more

Better than your typical grocery store. I love the variety and easy checkout process. Their cafe is excellent, with a multitude of options, including pizza, sushi, and subs. I always come here to do my grocery shopping. Only drawback is that it can get pretty crowded in the café area, but the variety makes up for any other issues. read more

I love wegmans and although this one isn't my favorite, i think it deserves 4 stars. The store is much smaller than other locations so they don't have as many options. Each department is at least half the size as any other location I've been to. Even so, still love going there. Service is always good, produce is great quality and I absolutely love the sushi. The only real downsides are the limited hot and cold bars where they sell food by the pound. I wish there were more options. read more

Our first stop flying in from Tampa, to stock up for a long weekend stay and show this off to my daughter & family that have never been to Niagara. Wonderful bakery, seafood and deli and they could not believe a gallon of milk for $1.49 last weekend. We ended up leaving with over $60 in breakfast and snack items, including very fresh apples, cinnamon coffee cake and fine Wegman's French Roast coffee. Although Wegmans has good quality products you pay for a good price for them. I was informed today by the cashier that Wegmans will no longer offer plastic bags, however they will still offer paper bags until around the end of January 2020. After that you will be charged for paper bags, something we need to carry the food we purchased from Wegmans. The cashier told me that the money will not be kept by the company, it will be donated to charity. So the customers that shop at Wegmans will pay for bags to carry their groceries home while the Wegman family uses our money for a write off. read more

It goes without saying that Wegmans is a staple for WNY! They're organic selection is to die for, everything is so fresh. I frequent Wegmans for lunch and dinner when I'm looking for something quick and healthy. They have a huge selection of bring home meals of things made in store. From lemon chicken to tilapia to chicken wings. You can find it all here! Their produce selection is 2nd best next to the farmers markets. They tell you in specific the origin of where the product is from, which I love! Every person that is new to town knows about Wegmans. It's almost like word vomit to our area lol read more

This location has a rough crowd. I try to err on the side of caution and avoid this location at all costs. Take the extra 15 min or so and drive to the Amherst location. I highly suggest you don't go to the military road location alone. read more

I am absolutely in love with their subs here, the aisles are small a lot of maneuvering to get down a isle with other people and when you are looking for something no one can be found. I grew up in Niagara Falls and left the area in 2002. Since then, I've lived in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Denver. After being spoiled with a Wegman's within walking distance of my home growing up, the supermarkets in these other cities never quite lived up to my ideal. Well, until the Baltimore region started putting in Wegman's. Then, I would happily drive 45 minutes one way to shop there once a month. I visit my parents a couple of times a year, and one of my first stops is always Wegman's. I marvel at the beautiful produce and the bountiful selection, the pre-made foods section, the artisan breads, the variety of international foods, and, of course, all the home-town favorites I know and love, like Perry's ice cream and sponge candy!!! Moreover, they're always neat, clean and organized. On a recent trip, we bought a pumpkin layer cake to take to a friend's dinner party. The pumpkin cake was nicely spiced and deliciously moist, while the whipped cream was airy and only lightly sweetened. OMG - ambrosia!!! The area is sadly filled with crime. I know multiple people who have been approached aggressively in wegmans parking lot being asked for money. When told no, the others get aggressive and sometime physical. Multiple people were mugged in the parking lot, purses stolen out of the carts while in the store. This location NEEDS security to keep there shoppers safe in both the store and parking lot. When talking to workers they say this type of stuff happens often and are not surprised when hearing these things. read more

I have a carefully curated list of stores in my area that I will shop at weekly. Wegmans tops them all. Kroger, Meijer, even Whole Foods... not even close. What makes Wegmans good? So nice, so clean, such a great selection. For example, the store has about 15 flavors of store brand carbonated LaCroix-style water including gourmet selections like Lime Mint and Ginger. They have a pizzeria, a sub shop, a bakery, an unbelievable salad bar and much more. Their deli is great. A+++. read more
