Mickey Mouse work installing a wall oven. It ended up being me and my tenant both helping him put the oven in. I am very UNHANDY, and did not pay for him to come project manage the three of us, I hired him to install the oven. Installation of the wall oven was exactly removing the old oven by unplugging and pulling it out, which I had to help do and shove in the new one which I also had to help do. I even tipped him $25 for a $75 job not a word of gratitude. Overall very unclassy and incapable. Additionally I asked for an invoice, and he said he would email me. Had my washer water hook-ups reversed (hot water going into cold and vice versa), so he switched the connections. Had two very small wall hangings/hooks installed into the wall and was charged $100. Very pricey! I used Scott last year to replace old washer hook-ups and he charged me $30 for service and I paid for the parts. Not sure why this year's work got so much more expensive, and I got the sense that he charged me way more that he should have. He gave me the amount really fast, like he expected me to haggle, but (stupid me) I didn't question it and just paid him. I really liked using him last year, but will be using another handyman from now on :( So disappointed. read more

Scott and his assistant, Lara did a great job installing shelves and a roof in my storage locker. They were punctual. Scott came up w the best plan for solving the problem, found a local lumber yard and saved me the grief of measuring and transporting the materials. I just happened to see Scott's response to my review. His inaccuracies in print almost rival those in his work. I am not going to get as long and laborious as his response and will I only will say this: #1) That his memory is as bad as his measurements. I have his "invoice" in front of me dated 7 months from when I wrote my review, not 3 years. #2) He never came by and offered a refund as he claimed he would do. Had he come by unannounced I would not have answered the door, called the Sheriffs and asked questions later through the massive gap he left in the threshold of my front door. #3) That one of his "jobs", the faucet repair, has already been fixed by plumber who when he saw the work and how poorly it was installed literally started laughing. I called Scott to install a screen door. He was very nice. He was also right on time and did GREAT work. he helped me pick up the door at a local Home Depot. My old screen door never worked right. The prior guy said it didn't work because of the shape of my door. Scott installed the new door quickly and it worked perfectly!! Scott moved a roof overhang to get it off of my AC condenser and to create more shade for my patio. I consulted several carpenters and, except for Scott, they all wanted to cut the roof apart and move a piece of it. Scott not only moved the roof as one piece, he did it for a fraction of the cost that the others wanted. He did a thorough job making sure all the pieces fit back together nicely. I had Scott install some vents on my garage door today. I also wanted him to replace my garbage disposal, which I thought was dead. He figured out that it just needed to be reset and brought it back to life. I can now return the $200 garbage disposal I purchased from Home Depot earlier today. It's hard to get anyone out and charge reasonable prices these days. It's nice to know there's a handyman willing to work 24/7 M-F. Their prices were so reasonable and the work so well done that I ended up having them renovate my office and paint most of the inside of the house! Scott is knowledgeable, honest, reliable and reasonable. I hired him to install an outdoor fountain, hang medicine cabinets, fix a kitchen drawer and install a shower head. He is your guy to call for all your honey do list items! We are now hiring him for larger jobs that we need done and he will be the only handyman we use for everything in the future. I was very impressed when Scott took the extra step to let me know my fountain isn't safe around my grand kids because it didn't have a GFI outlet.
