Lunch buffet ends at 3PM. Dinner buffet starts around 7:30PM. Our waitress isn't friendly at all. She doesn't seem to like her job much. No smile, no energy, just there. The older staffer seems more friendly and checked up on us. Ordered 2 dall soup, medium spice: Gobi Manchurian, Chana masala, dal tadka, butter chicken and mango chicken hot spice. 3 Naan and one rice with each main dish. $78.37 Gobi isn't crispy at all, soggy, it's okay. Not spicy. Heavy breading. The cauliflower falls out of some of the breading. The Daal soup is good, although quite watery. The mango and butter chicken sauce flavors are good, the spicy is definitely got a healthy kick. The chicken pieces are big chunks and they are dry and overcooked. The butter naan is good soft and billowy. The Chana and dal tadka tasted okay, although I did find either a white hair or white stringy lint in the Chana. I was told it might be onion or ginger. Some tandoori chicken is smoking and it's making us cough some. It's tickling our noses. We had to pay quickly and get out of there. read more

Not too impressive from the outside, but Shaad Deshi is beautiful, fancy and clean inside. They have a large, diverse menu, and also a daily buffet, plus online ordering through their website. The staff is pleasant, attentive, and very kind, we enjoyed chatting with our server. Extra kudos for bringing a free rice pudding to the table for us to try, it was amazing ;) For dine-in, they bring a payment processor to the table for checkout. The naans were fluffy and crispy, not gritty or burnt. Medium spice level on entrees is spicy, but not painful. Perfect. The tandoori chicken was absolutely phenomenal. Food and service were wonderful! There are many interesting items on the menu including dishes that are not on a typical Indian menu. I was a little worried at first. I came for an early dinner and there was only one car in the parking lot. But I am so glad that I went in. Pros: very clean dining room. Friendly service. Good naan. The food, overall, was lackluster. The meats were dry and overcooked. It wasn't busy and we got there noonish so guessing the food sat out for some time (uncovered) and most of the food was pretty cold. Selection was not extensive, but decent. There was a chicken there that looked tasty but was so cold and hardened from sitting out it was not edible. Overall, if in the area, I'd probably give it another shot. We were here for the lunch buffet on a Sunday 4/7/2024. However, because of Ramadan, they were not doing lunch buffet and were told we have to order off of the menu but they would offer 20% discount. We were a group of five so decided to order multiple dishes and share. I don't know what we ordered but everything was good. Service was nice, it took a while for the orders to come through to the table but food quality was good. Everyone was feeling very full and ended up paying $20 per person including tip so it was like doing the lunch buffet! Despite of this visit being on a Sunday, we only saw two other tables. The other tables were expecting lunch buffet as well but they were being told the same that they had to order off of the menu. It was very quiet for a Sunday lunch hours. read more

Decided to give this place a try for dinner during a trip to the area. I ordered the tandoori king prawns appetizer and tandoori salmon tikka entree. Both dishes, despite being tandoori cooked items, were drenched in sauce. The shrimp and salmon were not fresh at all, both had a very strong fishy taste. At least the naan was on point. If you visit, definitely stay away from any seafood options, they're downright terrible. read more

Got the Nobabi Rejala just because it was unique to their store and I wanted to branch out from the traditional butter chicken or chicken tikka masala. Let me tell you it was so rich in flavor and Spice without being too overpowering in cream or butter. Lamb was cooked well and it was a good portion of meat for the price. I did ask for extra vegetables which they accommodated free of charge. You get either white rice or garlic naan- who wouldn't choose garlic naan lol. However I was disappointed because when I opened it up the naan was pretty much all burnt on the surface. See picture attached. However the dish I got was so tasty that I think it still warrants a solid four stars and I would definitely come back to try other Curry dishes. Went for the buffet. Got there at 1pm. There were a couple items that were out and never got refilled. One was a type of mushroom masala I was really interested in. The available fishes were pretty good. The was a lamb curry and something comparable to chicken curry. There was also chicken tandoori that was really good! Chai masala was a nice treat too. Place was pretty busy. Hard to get water refills. Overall for $14, I'll be back. read more

5 stars are not enough!  The food was over-the-top delicious, the servings are huge, and the customer service was superb.  Our server, Dina greeted us, gave excellent suggestions, and made sure that we had everything we needed and more.  We had the Beef Saag - piping hot (so hard to find these days), with tender beef and fragrant spinach.  The spice was just perfect (thank you for the recommended spice level, Dina), the dish was memorable.  We also had Chicken Biriyani - again piping hot with spicy, tender chicken and the perfect amount of spice.  The owner (I assume he was the owner) came out to visit with us to see if we were enjoying our meal.  What a nice touch. We are from New York and wish we could find comparable food here. You must try the rice pudding - it is worth the calories and may be the best I've ever had.  Did I mention how large the portions were?  We left full, but Dina sent us home with enough food to have leftovers for breakfast for two days (we were staying in a hotel and couldn't go out for breakfast when we had such deliciousness in our fridge). The incredible food and the upper margin customer service we received at Shaad Deshi will make this our go-to restaurant when we visit the area. read more

I decided to try this new restaurant in the area. Since it was later in the evening I didn't have a chance to try the buffet. I will definitely be back one day at lunchtime though and update my review. I ordered the lamb Tikka Massala with naan and the mixed appetizer plate with a few different choices. Delivery. Everything was very good. The portions were generous. So much that there was enough for dinner and a small snack the next day. I haven't had a lot of Indian food but I am looking forward to experimenting with this place. Definitely worth a try. read more

Huge portions, really nice staff! We arrived just after the lunch buffet closed (M-F 11:30-2:30, Sat-Sun 12-3pm, I think). The staff gave us some free pakoras as an apology. Everything we ordered was delicious. First time my mom had butter chicken, I'm so happy everything turned out as delicious as It did. Special care in the presentation, and preparation. I was just sitting in the restaurant trying to have a good meal I tried to eat it from the open buffet and there was a guy he used his hand to eat directly from the buffet and that's making me feel disgusting, especially touching all the food by his hand and the buffet is for everyone That, give the restaurant a very bad feedback Seeing these kind of things make people run away from the restaurant because that's mean the food is not clean You should maintain the people taking from the buffet to use a spoon or fork, not their hands read more
