Was able to find & treat all tangled areas with the best techniques for each. The other therapists were attending education this day. I have the utmost respect for those who strive to further educate themselves. I thoroughly expect that I would receive great massages from them as well. Thanks for hanging in there between Harvey's mess & the construction! I will definitely support this business. (They might even get sick of me :)

My mom wanted a very light and relaxing massage and I needed a deep tissue massage to work out knots. Kelli has very strong hands and worked the knots on my back relentlessly. I'll be sore later but the massage therapy was exactly what I needed. Rhonda did our facials and this was also incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable about the skin and what your body is telling you through your skin. She did a great job and our faces looked and felt amazing after. The spa is a little hidden in a business office environment and it's no frills unlike other spas (i.e. You're not going to hang out in a tea room in a robe), however the place was very clean, cozy, smelled great, and each room was designed perfectly and had the proper cozy ambience. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this small business!

My coworker and I had an hour and a half to spare for an event…read more We didn't want to do a reflexology massage or other massages around Chinatown because our hair will look like a hot mess. So glad to be able to found DOVERA on the Internet and saw they had a 30 minute package that worked in our favor on time and traffic. Even though it was only 30 minutes, it was what we needed to destress and refreshing up at the same time.. Their prices are more reasonable and I really appreciate that 30 minute session they offer when you're on a time crunch. I was gifted to get my first head spa that opened out in Katy 2 years ago that was an hour long and the session didn't have me wanting to come back compared to my experience with Dovera. My experience for the 30 minute you are in your clothes and be prepared. Your clothes may get wet but nothing a blow dryer can't fix. My coworker and I enjoyed the herbal tea solution they rinse your hair with and we have grown to enjoy their herbal scents. The staff had such delicate hands, ahh just writing this I can still remember the feeling of the session. We did go when it was still new, but I still have it on my list to come back for the one hour session.

Took advantage of the opportunity to relax a little bit in a Sunday afternoon. Call it a recovery…read moreday from working out or call it just a mental santity break to kick off the week. This is a great place to do either. The first hour and a half in the men's area rotating between the steam room, sauna hot tub and cold plunge, losing track of the time and just soaking it. The sauna and the steam room each held around 5 to 7 people, respectively. Fortunately I didn't need to push the capacity limits since the crowd was extremely light, especially for for a weekend. I strolled around and checked out the other rooms and the bulgama room was scorching hot, in the best possible way. Broken up into two different dome spaces - one hot and the other extremely hot with a fireplace- that had the cozy smell of burning wood. A fantastic sensory experience. I popped by the restaurant and the Bulgogi stew was delicious. Prices were comparable to being outside of the spa, and the quality was just as good. The food came out piping hot with a little kimchi and some potatoes and a small bowl of rice on the side. I have been to more than a handful of Korean Spas and the features that make this one stand out are: Clean smells- sounds strange to have to say this but Gangnam was clean but didn't smell like cleaning products. Each space had a unique scent based on the desired effect - cedar, burning wood, eucalyptus, etc. Comfortable uniforms - woven, soft terry cloth sets that breathed well and were easy to move in. Unique experiences in small niches- hand spa to massage your hands, foot spa with a pebble bottomed pool, plenty of lounge spaces, vibrating plates for muscle activation or relaxation, I honestly didn't have time to do it all. The staff = top notch. Friendly front desk crew gave a great first impression. The superstar was the gal who helped me decide on a tasty dish in the restaurant, providing great descriptions for all of the choices. After 4 full hours, I needed to go to my next meeting and had to leave. Nevertheless I left feeling relaxed and satisfied. Verdict: Check it out but be sure to give yourself at least 4 hours.

I visited Gangnam Spa with my fiancé expecting a calm, restorative experience. The facility is…read moreclean, the staff is professional, and the treatments themselves are excellent. FIVE STARS! And this is why the rating drops to THREE STARS However, the spa's current approach to cell phone use raises serious privacy and safety concerns. Multiple guests were openly using their phones in treatment areas and even inside the locker rooms -- including taking photos and videos in spaces where individuals are undressed. Locker rooms are universally recognized as places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, and recording in these areas can violate that expectation, regardless of intent. Allowing phones in environments where guests are changing creates a real risk of non‑consensual photography or video, which can have legal implications and exposes patrons to harm. Businesses that operate locker rooms and similar facilities typically have a duty of care to protect guests from exactly this type of privacy intrusion. I strongly encourage the spa to implement and enforce a comprehensive no‑phone policy throughout all treatment and locker room areas. A spa should be a place where guests feel safe, respected, and able to relax without worrying about being filmed or photographed in private spaces. PLEASE KEEP this SPA classy, with privacy rules and keep the ghetto out the door!
