My sister and I are keeping it in our rotation when we need a break. We tried the Basic Body Scrub Plus that comes with hair and face washing. My hair felt amazing afterwards. The face wash is just done with basic cetaphil cleanser which was alright. But the scrub itself was amazing. We really enjoyed the amenities. Massage chairs are confusing and not worth it in my opinion - we asked for our money back on that portion but otherwise a great experience. We had lunch and spent about 5 hours at the spa.

Recently, I had the pleasure of spending the day at Gangnam Spa - a bathhouse for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. I left feeling completely reset and grateful for the experience, it will not be my last. Upon arrival, shoes must be taken off. You can purchase a pair of slip-resistant socks if you're not comfortable walking around barefoot. Tip: book your spa day online where you'll get a ticket for a discounted rate. I went on a Thursday and my ticket was $40. If I didn't purchase my ticket online I would have paid $48 at the door. Inside the private women's area, I moved through the three signature baths - a warm bath, a hot herbal bath infused with mugwort, and a cold plunge that dips to around 58 degrees. I switched between them slowly, spending about ten minutes in each. I finished with the wet sauna which ended just in time for my hip bath. It's an herbal steam that you sit on and relax for about thirty minutes. The herbal blend is made up of several herbs that focus on womb health and deep relaxation. If you're a woman seeking a moment of reset or support for digestion, constipation, and energetic cleansing I can't recommend it enough. In the co-ed common area there are several specialty healing rooms and a foot bath room. One of the rooms reaches a blazing temperature of 217 degrees. I personally enjoyed spending time in the oxygen room. They have a book-nook for all you book-lovers like me. They offer other services that you will have to pay extra for and it's best to book those ahead of time on their website. Those services include massages, body scrubs, and facials. You can also enjoy their massage chair or the steam sauna capsule which you don't need to make an appointment in advance for. I ended up staying around five hours which included a lunch break in the restaurant where I enjoyed a hot bowl of seaweed soup. It was plenty of time to enjoy myself and get a full experience of what they have to offer.

We had visited Gangnam in the past and didn't enjoy it, but a friend recently told us it had improved, so we decided to give it one more try. We went on December 30. I understand it was the holiday season and expected it to be busy but the experience wasl shocking. The parking situation was complete chaos. The lot was full, with cars parked haphazardly with some parallel-parked, others blocking vehicles entirely. Because of this, the spa had to make loudspeaker announcements every 10 minutes or so, calling out specific vehicles (for example, black BMW owner, please move your car). These announcements were often repeated three or four times before staff warned that the car would be towed. Hearing this over and over again was extremely disruptive and the opposite of relaxing. It set the tone for the entire visit: chaotic and poorly managed. Inside, there were long lines at the entrance and staff had to tell guests they were already at capacity and that people would need to wait until others left. We waited about 10 minutes, which wasn't terrible, but we overheard others saying they had waited much longer. This could have been handled much better with clearer communication--simple signage at the entrance, time-slot notices, or even updates on the website might help manage expectations. Once inside, things went downhill quickly. I was given an XL uniform as they ran out of smaller sizes. I had to hold my shorts the entire time as they kept falling down (too big). The women's changing room was jam-packed and slippery. While the hot and cold pools and saunas weren't overly crowded, the communal relaxation rooms--the salt room, rock room, and similar spaces--were extremely disruptive. There was constant loud talking, giggling, and even people using speakerphones. This is a spa meant for relaxation, not a social hangout. Hearing phone conversations echo through quiet rooms completely ruins the experience. We did bring this up to staff, but unfortunately, there was little to no enforcement of any noise policy. There should be staff actively monitoring and reminding guests to be respectful of the shared space. The only genuinely positive part of the experience was the fire rooms. The inner dome gets very hot and actually allows you to sweat properly and there was a group of folks talking too! Everything else was disappointing. The added hand spa with rocks felt pointless and ineffective. The massage pods charging $39 for 30 minutes are wildly overpriced and not worth it. They even ran out of towels at 9 pm. Overall, the biggest issue is poor management and lack of control. Between the parking chaos, constant announcements, overcrowding, and lack of enforcement, the environment was stressful rather than relaxing. This will truly be our last visit. If you're looking for a peaceful spa experience, this is not the place.

So excited - maybe no more driving to Dallas!

Well, they have expanded their Korean scrubs. I'm sure because they're amazing normally. They have a whole new room with many more tables. Unfortunately, they need to take some time to train the additional staff. Normally these scrubs literally make you look so hydrated glowing, and I would even say a couple years younger. This time it was nothing that I could do in my own shower. This is very disappointing and I hope they correct this because these are my go to scrubs in Houston. And the massage element that comes with the scrub, just was as if the person was making up the strokes as they went along. I definitely would not recommend going on a weekend as the place is packed, in fact, we weren't even able to get into any of the other amenities as they were overfull. I guess this is a function of Groupon.

Can't believe I haven't left my review. This is a unique spa. Found tickets on Groupon and had a great experience. Theirs many individual spa rooms with different vibes and temps Like the foot spa a pool for feet The oven room, that's hot as fish grease The ice room. Which is like inside a icebox The oxygen room was just right. It seems there was a theatre there, which was not in service or either under construction. That would've been nice to explore. -1 Massage chairs which automatically shut off after hours. Which cut into my time. The nude pools, hot and cold were cool. I like that they provided clear bags for my belongings to carry throughout the spa. My favorite room was the oxygen room it was such a zen space. I took a nap in that room. -1 The restaurant is a bit over priced for the amount that's received. A simple Shrimp fried rice order was $18-$20, which typically will be $8 especially for the smaller portion that's received. Maybe because theirs no to go boxes. I still was going to place an order for to go and theirs absolutely no to go packaging. (So I couldn't order) -1 Even if you want to have lunch here, you will have to purchase an access ticket $35-$48 for entry. Just to purchase lunch.

Lovely escape from your day to day! We went on a Wednesday to avoid crowds. Started off on the vibration plates to aid our lymphatic systems. We then tried the abdominal massagers which was a first for both of us. Still not sure how I feel about that but I did a few mins of it. The hand therapy was warm and relaxing. The deeper you go the more hot so be carefully to stay in the middle and mix the stones around. My favorite rooms were the oxygen and the bul-ga-ma. While most people respected the calm environment unfortunately some were a bit loud with personal conversations. Some ppl were leaving rooms due to others being inconsiderate. I think the staff should check in to make sure ppl are adhering to the guidelines and not spoiling others experience. We did have some ramen the broth needed some help so we doctored it up. There are plenty of other dishes to try instead and smoothie or tea options as well. The hot tub and cold plunge do require you to remove clothing but there's so much you can do if you're not comfortable with that. Overall wonderful experience and do plan to return

I was invited to join my sister and niece at Gangnam for pre Mother's Day. I got there early on Saturday morning before the crowds. Parking is always a challenge and is my one complaint. I was able to park but my sis and niece had to circle several times. It's best if you can carpool. We had a short wait upon check in. Got our locker keys and started our spa day. We didn't do any services since it was last minute. We understand the services were busy since it was Mother's Day. The mineral baths were warm but not super hot. The one closest to the wall was hotter. The saunas and steam rooms were nice and hot. We enjoyed the foot bath, igloo, cold rooms and the oxygen room. The little cubbies are my favorite as we use them to relax and read and nap. I should have brought my power bank to charge my phone. I use it for music through my headphones. They have free WiFi and music is piped in for a relaxing experience. It's super quiet in the common areas and people are respectful of the space. Also I wish they had ice and ice machines. I didn't bring a mug this time and was thirsty all day going from the saunas. They have water machines and I had to keep refilling the small cups. We had a nice lunch, shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. It took a long time but I understood because it was crowded. It didn't feel crowded in the common areas but as the day went by you could tell it was busier than normal. We met a lot of super nice ladies and everyone enjoyed themselves. Definite need this self care more often.

Absolutely enjoyed my experience. I.went with a friend to try something different we found on Groupon and we were not disappointed. We tried everything included in the standard day pass. All rooms were clean. Co Ed area, food options, and women only section that is all nudes. I would say something missing is a recommended order and a map.

Pink cheeks... and 3.5 hours later, we're done!

I've been to a Korean spa before, but I wanted to check this one out since I'd seen it on social media and Groupon. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. At check-in, I felt like there should've been a clear explanation of the rules for the same-sex area. I walked in completely clueless and just ended up following what others were doing. Thankfully, a group of girls noticed my confusion and let me know about the bath towels--I hadn't received one, so I was awkwardly trying to dry off with the small towels provided. In the public areas, the atmosphere in the different rooms was nice and relaxing. However, I think a no-talking rule would make a huge difference. Some groups were having full-on conversations, which took away from the peaceful vibe the space is meant to have. I understand chatting in the café or main lounge, but the unique sauna rooms should stay quiet for everyone to fully enjoy them.

A great way to end the trip is having a spa day (lol). My friend and I were looking for a spa in Houston, and we stumbled upon Gangnam Healing Spa. This place is amazing! The staff was super friendly and they helped us navigate through the entire spa. The spa has multiple rooms with multiple things that they offer such as an ice room, a heating room, healing, waters room, pools, etc. to suit all of your needs. The establishment is also in pristine condition, and a calm environment. It feels like you're taking a break away from the noise of the world when you come. I wish we had spas like this in South Florida. On my next visit to Houston, Gangnam Spa will be my first stop.

Was gifted this spa treatment from my daughter and I instantly invited my sister. And what a time we had! We arrived about 10ish and there was a very lengthy check in line. Once we checked in stored our shoes in lockers we went in to shower (sorry no cameras allowed) and the rest is history. We sat in the vitamin E filled sauna, they also had the cold water sauna (which we opted out of) my sister dipped her foot in but quickly changed her mind when temp dropped to 54 degrees, then we headed to the heated sauna room, then the dry sauna, from there we went to have lunch at their diner. I had the spicy chicken and sticky rice with egg rolls, caasi had fried dumplings, and bulgogi fries, and Angie got egg rolls, shrimp fried rice at this point we were fat full. Later we lounged in the single cubbies to relax and read. About an hour later it was round two we went to the foot bath room for 30 minutes, then the oxygen room for 30 min, the igloo heated room for 7 mins because it was super hot and we didn't go any further than that first part but Caasi did venture off to the back ( which is like sticking yourself in a pizza oven). They do provide cold towels to cool you down a bit, then we went to the cold room which was like sitting in a refrigerator cooler. We found workout machines and did those for 10 minutes each. Now it was back to the beginning and we showered again (a absolute must before entering in the saunas) we did about 45 minutes in the Vitamin E sauna ( this time caasi tried the cold water bath but only got both legs in). We did the dry sauna again to dry us off. And it was time to go home. We actually checked out at 5ish. That was a full fun day of maxing and relaxing. 10/10000 we will make this a monthly girls day

My family decided to celebrate my cousin's bday at Gangnam spa and it was an absolute delight disconnecting from a busy life. They had plenty of places to lounge around and a cafeteria where you could order food and drinks from. While most of the rooms and activities are free, there are a few services and items that could be added for an extra cost. I would recommend you going on a none weekend as it can get quite pack. The lot was decent, but was no match for the Saturday crowd. Because of how busy it, some of the room gets a little bit too crowded to my liking. My last complaint is that some of the furnitures in the heated rooms were broken. I feel like they should do a little bit more inspection for the furnitures or remove them to prevent injuries. Metal and sweat is not a great combo when things get rusted and someone gets scratch. I did not get scratch, but I definitely felt the metal slightly stabbing me in the Salt Room.

Do you know if the uniform they offer is offered in plus sizes? And what the largest size is?

Yes they have various sizes; they also have men's and women's.

Last I was there the mugworts bath was just water without the herbs, and it wasn't very hot. Is it back to normal?

I was there the first week of 2025, and no it is just water.

    Are the jacuzzis coed?

    No they are not.

Is it ok to go by yourself or should go with someone?

I always go alone. Perfectly safe environment.

Sorry if this is redundant, can you take a towel fro locker room to hot tubs? In order to cover up before you get in the hot tubs? I know I know it's part of the experience to be all naked and it's a judgment free zone.

You can but people might look at you side eyed because literally everybody lets everything hang all out

Hola buen. Día q topo de masajes y servicios tiene y los precios me gustaría ir gracias?

ofrecen masajes, no sé cuáles son los precios.

    Yes

Is the spa still a safe place to go during Covid-19?

Yes it seems pretty safe here

How is the full body massage?

$90 for 60 minutes and $130 for 90 minutes. That comes with a face mask too

How is the privacy in the locker rooms? Is it open space or are there individual stalls for the initial change from regular clothes to the uniforms?

There are no privacy stalls in the locker rooms. There are toilet stalls but you wouldn't want to change there. No one pays attention and there aren't chairs or benches in the aisles for people to hang out. You'll be ok.

Are the massages and scrubs co-ed? Would my husband and I be in the same room if we got these services?

Nope, the massages and scrubs are separated. The main rooms (including thermal, cold, salt, & foot spa) are co-ed though.

Is there a place to leave an 8 yo while you go to the pools?

There's a kids play room but no attendants.

Do the uniforms come in extended sizes(1x-4x)?

The sizes run really small. I had to exchange mine 2 times for a larger size. So the answer is yes.

Are the late night services good?

    They don't do massage late.

Do you have to be in the nude the whole time or to enjoy all the rooms?

No! They give you uniforms to change into, which you can wear into all the rooms. The bathrooms and spa area (separated by gender) are nude though.

Make sure to take the key with you because when you check in, the staff gives you a bracelet in exchange for the key. Don't forget to wear this bracelet everywhere you go in the facility. It serves as the key to your main locker, and you also use it to pay for services and food. I highly recommend purchasing your admission ticket through Groupon because I was able to save about $10. Also, be sure to book any services you want a few days in advance. After checking in at the front desk, I stored all of my items in the locker room. You don't need to bring your wallet with you because, again, you pay for everything using your bracelet. I booked the Scrub Plus service, and it was amazing! It has been several days, and my skin is still very soft and supple. For this service, you will need to soak in the bath for about 30 minutes beforehand. After the scrub, I changed into the spa uniform provided and explored the facility. They offer a variety of sauna rooms, and my favorite was the Yellow Ocher Clay Room. I also ended up ordering tteokbokki and sikhye at the food court. The food is a little pricey, but it was delicious. Overall, I had an enjoyable birthday at Spa World. Unless you're buying add-ons, the place is mostly saunas, one cold room, and the gender specific bath houses. We walked around the whole place but couldn't find the outside terrace area, even after consulting a map of the place. The ocher bead sauna was my fav. The fire room is unbearably hot. They don't allow shoes in the spa areas but I think they need to make an exception for that room. They have rugs all over the floor and layered ontop of each other in there and it still doesn't make a difference. I became stuck in there because the floor was so hot it was burning my feet. I was standing on a super thin towel I brought in with me. I had to call for my husband to bring me another towel so I could make a makeshift pathway to the door so I could get out. Consider yourself warned. It feels in there what I assume being on fire might feel like at its beginning stages. The food looked nice but some of it was wildly expensive. $8-9 for one coffee? $4-6 for a hot tea? Ehh, I passed. I enjoyed the bath house/locker room area. The showers were nice, lots of diff pools to chose from that each served different purposes, the wrap around mirrors, body lotion, hair dryers, etc... it was great! They even had attendants in there where you could buy items or services from them. I saw many girls buying face masks. It was very zen in there. I spent a solid amount of time in there getting ready bc I had a fancy dinner with my husband afterwards so I used all the space and amenities to get ready :) Oh forgot to mention - check Groupon. We got our tickets at a discounted rate. Front desk ppl were nice and explained things thoroughly and easily.

This was our first time doing a hammam and we were thoroughly impressed. The staff were very warm and professional from the moment we entered and the facilities were clean and welcoming. Our masseuses, Jessica and Alicia, were firm but gentle, making sure that every part of our bodies were treated with care. Our experience ended with some delicious Moroccan tea and baklava treats. Our skin felt so smooth and we felt so refreshed afterwards. It was a unique experience different from any other massage we've had before. Would definitely consider coming back and recommend to anyone looking to try a new type of massage!

TLDR: Yes, yes. A thousand times, yes…read more In advance of our trip to Houston, I started watching food reviewers to get ideas of where to eat. That shifted my IG algorithm to include things to do...and I've never been happier. I saw a video depicting their Hammam treatment where you hang out in steam, they soap you up, and then exfoliate you. Never done it, asked the wife, and I booked it. Glad we did, phenomenal experience. Detailed step by step of our experience to help the uninitiated know what to expect. 1. Online booking. Simple, fast, requires 20% deposit. 10/10. 2. Confirmation text to check if I needed to reschedule. 10/10. 3. We arrived 10 minutes early. Front door was locked but the desk attendant let us in quickly and relocked the door. Considering the level of undress we were about to be in, 100% on board with that. 10/10. 4. Check in and sit in these awesome high-back padded chairs while we wait. 10/10. 5. Quickly greeted by the staff who will be providing our treatment and led to a small changing room. There they instruct us to strip down and put on disposable underwear, a nice robe, and slide on sandals. I'm a big guy, so they switched out the 3 items for bigger versions. I was happily surprised they had a 4XL robe and sandals to fit my size 16 feet. The paper underwear was made of the same material as a dentist bib/disposable surgical gown, and covered what boxers would cover-down to mid/lower thigh. Wife's paper undies were more like a string bikini bottom. We were not quite sure what to expect, but it provided for an appropriate level of modesty. The room contained multiple lockers with keys so that we were able to secure our belongings. 10/10. 6. We were then led to a steamy room, removed our robes, and carefully helped up onto the padded platforms. Once seated we were rinsed with warm water and soaped up. Then they got us bottled water (cold or room temperature, our choice) and left us to steam in the the 103°F room. Sweat, sweat, sweat. They checked in a couple of times to make sure we were okay, which I appreciated. That steam was no joke. 10/10. 7. After maybe 10-15 minutes, we moved into another room that looked identical, rubber mats on elevated platforms. But this time we laid down and the treatments started. Warm water poured over body, light scrubbing of face, and some treatment painted on my face. Then it was really same thing over and over with different parts of the body. Pour water, scrub with the mits, and exfoliate years of dead skin. Years. 10/10. 8. The women who provided our treatments were great, social in response to our talking but not trying to talk the whole time. Gotta love that with any kind of spa treatment, let the client decide the talking level. At some point, she rinsed off the face treatment and scrubbed my face a little more. 10/10. 9. So they keep doing their thing, having us move arms, tilt neck, roll on side, etc., so that they can get to all of our parts. We'll, most. Going back to the distinct differences in our disposable underwear, wife got way more of her upper legs/buttocks scrubbed. My scrubbing stopped just above the knee and resumed above the waste. And honestly, I get why-guys can be/are creeps. It did leave, however, a large area of me unexfoliated. 9/10. 10. After that, had us sit up, more water pouring to rinse off the dead skin and touching up spots that needed a little more scrubbing. Once rinsed and cleaned, got a scalp treatment/shampooing. Nice touch. 10/10. 11. They helped us put our robes back on and we were led to our changing room were they did a rose water spritz and argon oil serum face treatment. We were then left alone to get dressed. 10/10. 12. Ended the experience in the Tea Room where we enjoyed wonderful hot Moroccan tea and some baklava. What a wonderful treat! Thanks for reading my novel. Hopefully it covered questions you might have if you have never had this experience before. We thought it was fantastic, and it is going on our growing list of "must-dos" when visiting Houston.

My mom wanted a very light and relaxing massage and I needed a deep tissue massage to work out knots. Kelli has very strong hands and worked the knots on my back relentlessly. I'll be sore later but the massage therapy was exactly what I needed. Rhonda did our facials and this was also incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable about the skin and what your body is telling you through your skin. She did a great job and our faces looked and felt amazing after. The spa is a little hidden in a business office environment and it's no frills unlike other spas (i.e. You're not going to hang out in a tea room in a robe), however the place was very clean, cozy, smelled great, and each room was designed perfectly and had the proper cozy ambience. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this small business!

I had driven by this place for years and had it on my to-do list to give it a shot but never got around to it. Yesterday was my birthday (yeah Virgo ;-), and I had such a horrible day that I needed a little pampering. Well, Ms. Jazmin was my Therapist tonight, and I asked for the combo. I was initially nervous because I didn't know what to expect but that soon dissipated. I can attest, this was the BEST massage that I have ever gotten in my life! If I could rate 10*** I would. Jazmin is a Master at massage therapy and technique. She rubbed a million stress knots out of my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. I was lying there thinking this young lady literally has "healing hands," The prices are reasonable, the store is clean, and the water is on deck. I understand why this place has stellar reviews. It's a hidden gem. Sometimes, all one needs is a good massage, healing hands, and a comfortable atmosphere to change their day from bad to good. This is now my new massage spot! Cheers!
